- This video is about how to passively farm acid in Once Human. More of a tutorial.
We started playing this active closed beta of Once Human and it's just a blast!
So far, enjoying the game and we're really close to endgame with the community. Which made us figure it out that acid is one of the most important materials needed along the way.
We didn't know how to farm acid so we had to grind it for the longest time.
But now, we've found the secret recipe for acid. Here it is!
Actually found it in the patch notes and thought, why not try it out. Haha

This video helped me wrap my head around the water and energy mechanics. Ultimately im going to stick with grinding from mobs.
I was lurking in this comment section when this first uploaded and somebody mentioned trying to find the recipe for Preserved Deviated Chops, turns out you aytomatically learn it from the Cooking 3 memetic!
I grind my acid in the zone north of blackfell, normally id get like 200 in one rotation, but with the deviated chops ill get 300, and im not very efficient, so i bet even more skilled players can put out a better output. Now that my acid problem is solved i just gotta figure out a solid source of Stardust Resource! Thanks for the video!

Unfortunately, the maximum output from this farm is 53 acids per hour. Provided that you have 300W of energy and, apart from pumps and osmosis, nothing else consumes electricity
Haven't done the math but 53 an hour while also offline is huge. I saw a vending machine today in Blackwell, they were selling one for 4000. Crazy how desperate is everyone with acid in this game. Haha
There is a Mastery Perk called acid alchemy. you turn sulfur into acid. its RNG atm if you get it but you get 5 re rolls a season. There is a mistake with the wording that says acid into sulfur but its the other way round. good luck

Which slot is it in 1-10? cause you can go back in and change them from the select few it gives

@altariervan4184 there's actually another one you can get I got it last night in slot 9, it's a smelter one and it says you can create acid with stardust in a electric furnace. It is alittle pricey 4 stardust= 1 acid

I am never surprised anymore how you come up with the most complicated ways to accomplish one thing or another in video games... and the funny part is that it always works hahahaha

You can spend an hour farming around Blackwell. Rng puts you between 500 and 700 depending. I farm an hour or 2 a week while watching videos and the rest comes passively from this method. This only feels like an ok way if youre offline for a coupke days.
Small correction: Barrels actually do support 4x queues just like the purifiers. Only problem is that you need to fill a queue completely before the next queue starts being filled, so it takes quite a while to setup properly.
I realized later that you can stack them up to 1000 in the purifier and get 4 working at the same time. But that's a lot of pumps and a lot of impure acid.
You can also use poluted water so the base location isnt that hard to find😊

I don't think I've seen contaminated water. But it still needs to be in a stardust poluted zone. No?
@@Bohani not really. Sometimes it overlaps with a stardust zone but sometimes the water is just conterminated. For example, do you remember the ships/shipyard at "Harborside"? Its a Level 12 Area in the most south part of "Broken Delta" (Cords: 5950, -7150) there is that water i was talking about. I'm sure there are more spot like this and i found some but i need to check the cords again. I will report back in a later answer in this post if you dont mind, with some cords/spots of the "right" water for the job😉

@@Bohani just found another one but its in a higher level zone, BUT there is a teleport tower right next to it and NO enemies mob's or animals around. I just moved my base here😅. (Coords: 2880, -2344) Mapzone: "Red Sands" Level 48. Edit: i am level 34 and its easy to get here and no angry stuff near by🙂
Or from the memetics mastery skills get Sulfur Alchemy. It's translated wrong, you can make sulfur into acid. If you build like 10 synthesis benches fill them with sulfur it takes 1 bench and 495 sulfur to make 99 acid in 8 hours. And sulfur is easy to get with Solar Drill Memetic Mastery skill you get 250 sulfur from each sulfur ore. You can test it and make a video about it, because i haven't found anyone talking about it and how Sulfur alchemy is translated wrong. I just took a gamble because it sounded wrong it says you can make acid into sulfur and i'm like "that doesn't sound right" and it turned out i was right it was the other way around. :D
Ooooo. That's amazing. I haven't had those yet. Are masteries all random for each character? Because mine are always different from my friends at the same levels.
@@Bohani Yes by the looks of it. It seems that there is a pool of memetic skill cards and every 5 levels you get 4 random so you gotta get lucky and the worst thing is the only way to respec is trough seasonal rewards and you can do it only 6 times ...
@@Bohani Also a side tip if you need "energy link" sell Purple food and drinks they give 1200 each late game you can craft canned food super easy
I'm making some chipset combos and sell those for 8000. Gold for 12k and silver for 4k, I think
@@alexnikolov1248 I thought there were only 4 to pick from also but tonight I realized it let me scroll over and there were 5 to pick from, @Bohani I got that chip set one also it is very nice if you wind up running low on money very cheap to make them too

Very true it does take work setting it all up. But it's less work than grinding mobs to get that stuff. Haha
But my goal in this beta is to learn as much of the mechanics of the game as I can. I'll try to find more secrets and stuff about Once Human to keep you all in the loop.

@chrisbenn eternaland will let us carry stuff and have a forever island, a in game currency will allow you to carry one thing into the new beta/launch, all blueprints and stuffed you learned will stick, if you read up in the season tab (I think) it explains everything about the eternaland. the game will have wipes like tarkov so get use to losing everything even tho you'll have time invested its said to be like every 6 weeks, there is no confirmed time frame yet. That's alot of info hope it all makes senses🤙

Hey there, nice VoD! My base is in the middle of a lake with around 60 of pollution mark on my backpacj but my pumps are pumping waaaay more dirty water than polluted water...any clue what could be the problem?
That is so weird. Someone else said that before. I haven't had the problem myself and my numbers are lower. Maybe try and place them where you get 25?

I usually just farm mobs at blackfell zone with the +50% acid food and end up with about 300-500 acid in 15 min. About 9-11 acid from each mob that drops it.
That's a good yield. I didn't even know there was a acid food. 🤣
What is the name of it and where you get recipe plz ?
I was looking through my food recipes and realized I had picked up something called "Preserved Deviated Chops" recipe@@Bohani It gives you a buff, killing an enemy grants +50% acid. I'm going to look thru my recordings and see if I can spot where I picked it up but it had to be in chalk peak area or blackfell.

I think there's zones where pollution is fluctuating or something. Because someone else said that in a comment earlier. Hmmm

How about fuel? We can farm oil from water pump. Did u know where place that can give oil from water pump?
I believe there is patches of oil, like glossy water on land, if you put your pump there it will extract oil. I think.

I had a good set up thanks to this video, logged on today and they merged servers without telling us. So lost my pumps and all the acid they farmed overnight 😠😒
Nooooooo. Hope you know that your base is still safe on your old world that collapsed. Just hit B and then Z to move it to your current world.
I guess we have to watch the season stage. Looks like this is how they'll wipe the servers of inactive people.
The stuff in the pumps should be gone, but the barrels and acid should be still there.
My water pump doesnt always porduce polluted water, sometimes it produce just dirty water, is it normal ?
It might be in a lower contamination zone? What's the number on your backpack when you sit next to it?

Hopefully that will get it sorted. My area only has 25 or something. And only brings poluted.

If the polluted zone is less polluted, yes. Hehe

Location of my farm? 🤣 It's close to black lake. South west of where you start off. The first lake you can see.
But any poluted zone will work.
