We use Microsoft Outlook at work. But I am one that if it isn't in my face, it's forgotten. If I don't handwrite it, it's forgotten. I certainly see the benefit of technology. But nothing beats paper and pen/pencil.
Would love to see a video on how to incorporate both (tutorial style).
    Thankful for your channel,

I do both. I print out the Outlook pages and write my notes. See my other comments. 💖🌞🌵😷

I am enjoying using OneNote as a planner for work, but feel more “secure” with paper. I’m swinging back and forth and it’s annoying! Digital seems easier, more efficient, but paper seems more stable and permanent. Am I the only person that can’t make up their mind?? 🤪 PS- I am 64 years old, so grew up with paper and pen, but do know how to use technology. 👵🏻

You don't have to choose, I used both at the same time. I used digital for time blocking and appointments, but then I printed out the pages. I had my digital events/notes and somewhere to write my thoughts/notes all on one page. Plus a paper record. At the time Outlook only kept 2years back and then deleted one day at a time. I printed a week at a time. Now there aren't many changes, so I print a month at a time. If significant changes were made, I could reprint. Small changes, I wrote down. My boss printed first thing every day, but I like having a few pages ahead to plan. 💖🌞🌵😷

@@suzisaintjamesooooooh I like that idea. My question, how do you print it from ipad?

I had the same problem, I love the writing experience… so I bought a tablet and learned how to benefit from digital without losing some of the paper experience

My company used Outlook for scheduling meetings and setting up reminders to those meetings. I like a paper planner, so every Friday afternoon I would print out the company's daily pages for the next week (agenda on the left, blank on the right), punch and insert into my ring binder. Over the weekend I would add personal items that affected my work schedule. Johnny's dentist appointment (have to leave early and schedule to makeup work hours), errands (pick up dry cleaning at lunch, next to sandwich shop, have cash?), pickup grocery order on the way home. Take Johnny to school early, don't forget tuba, and that mending you can work on before work or make up some hours... That way my personal stuff that related to work never got on the intranet, but was right there on the page with the work events so my day could be as seamless as possible. I just didn't have time to look at two systems in my hectic day. If a meeting was scheduled after I printed, I'd still get the RSVP request and the reminder notification, so I never missed one. I just inked it in my paper planner. Sending lots of love💖 from sunny 🌞 Arizona 🌵. Take care of yourselves 😷.

I just wanted to add that all the above went on the agenda page with the time line. The blank page was for meeting notes, phone notes, brain dumps (all the things Annie mentioned "I wish I had somewhere to write..." ), some days no business items went on the blank page, so that's where I menu planned and made the grocery list (on my lunch hour, of course 😏). Truthfully, I believe if you have a spontaneous personal thought, it's okay to brain dump that item during working hours to get it off your mind and let you focus on your work... It just doesn't have to be on the Intranet (where IT has access to everything) and possibly be misinterpreted. In the same breath, I don't believe you should do a weekly personal brain dump on company time, do that at home where you won't be interrupted. 💖🌞🌵😷

I love the idea of building my work planning system slowly and to start small.

I started bullet journaling at work. My desk is on the sales floor. As such, I get a lot of interruptions. The bullet journal helps me to refocus on my plans for the day.
