My son does actually have priority over my career because if he needed me, I'd fly home regardless of whatever I was doing with my career.... Teal Swan So good, My mom and dad always pretended like my brother and I were their main priority but it was obviously not the case. They would even say it aloud as if they were hoping we would believe the lie so they could believe it too, but I always just gave them a blank stare and thought to myself wow that's not true at all and I could totally point out to you how it's not the case but you seem like you really want to believe this so I'll just let it go lol. I appreciate your honesty.

Teal Swan Look what you've started! I can now authentically say that i also do not make parenting my priority. Sure I am a single mother who runs a clean, stable home with tons of hugs, kisses and honest convos but I am no craftmaking, hide n seeking, PTA mother. I feel real guilt when i think of the hours I do not spend playing with her while i'm at my computer editing work.
Teal I never leave comments it's a shyness/lack of confidence thing it's taken me three attempts to get this far already, even though there will be those that judge you, being true to yourself and honest in that way doesn't diminish the love we feel for our children! Your not and need never feel like a bad mother because your not the head of the pta or because you feel pure bliss when fulfilling your work, but I know you know this, I just know it's good to know someone else knows this too! Having the strength to do what brings me joy even if it takes priority over my parenting is one of the best lessons I can give to my son and still show him I love him! But yet also I feel the priority is one and the same, I want my son to be happy and he is happy when his mom is happy!

I love being alone lol, so much better than the nonsense I put myself through when attempting to conform to what others think is normal. But if I can find people that don't conform to ideas of normality that's pure gold. I'm not sure if I've found that yet but I imagine it is awesome.
It's painful for me to be alone, but also very painful to pretend. It's like asking would you rather be cut or burned. Neither! Numbness and not being awareness of your numbness is real, not entirely good nor bad, a coping mechanism I think. You can use that perhaps, but to let it use you...

People have a tendency to put spiritual teachers and any type of teacher for that matter, on a pedestal and some people expect these teachers to to be "perfect" in every way. The fact is that even though Teal and Ralph (and others) are sharing amazing advice, they are human too, and they have to live in this crazy, messed up world just like the rest of us. I love these two so much, I especially love their "imperfections" mostly because they have come out on top of their imperfections.
The fact that you are aware of your son's needs (even getting to the PD's), & RECOGNIZING, your own needs, shows that you are a loving, parent. It's normal Teal to work full-time (career-wise) in this system of things of CRITICAL TIMES. Here's what I have learned from you Teal. I have a lot of difficulties with my children who are now young adults to just accept me for who I am. Because of my residence, insecurity or ego the universe continually will mirror this behavior. But when I truly let go, take total responsible for my thoughts or inner behavior it is all changeable!! I was raised in a family where I had to be totally transparent and tell everything otherwise I would get into serious trouble. My father was sometimes hiding to spy on me and wait until the family would be gathered by the dining table to make a sermon if he thought I was hiding anything from him. To me, being able to keep some things private about my life feels like a big improvement (my hands are shaking really bad while I am writing this). I hear what you say about authenticity, but I see it like some kind of "universal truth" that might not be good for anyone depending on where we are. I sure hope that one day I can achieve a state where I can feel good about expressing my true self fully to the world, but today it feels like it would be self-hating to impose that on myself...
If I had all the money in the world and didn't have to work. I would write, paint, meditate, watch movies, workout, play video games, practice photography, be some kind of teacher, travel a lot, and explore the world. Easy answer.

Very honest interview - As a teacher myself, I know how much pressure we have to impress our students. I have learned that the (Guru complex) does not help students but to rather show that even teachers have vulnerabilities. As Ralph mentioned a great teachers is also a student. I really relate to Teal swan who said it's lonely when you ascend to a higher vibrational state .
This video was pure brilliance!! The level of authenticity was on another level. Thank you Teal and Ralph. My love for the both of you has grown deeper and as a result, my love for myself has deepened.
My father also structured his own life around other priorities than parenting, but this helped me grow to be an autonomous, brave, and resilient person. The most important thing that a parent can really give to their child is the tools to be able to handle and cope with life, and he did that for me. It would have been nice to have felt closer to him in some ways, but at the same time I know that I don't need to be dependent on anyone else for my own happiness, or in order to structure my own life. He lived his life according to his own needs and desires, and he accomplished so much because of it. I find that commendable, and hope I will one day look back on my own life and be as pleased with it as he seems to be.
Is it healthy to give your entire energy to a child? My Dad, gave an amount of energy towards me, yet, taught me it's healthy to maintain a certain amount of energy for himself...self love is very important
Teal I am the same way in terms of seeing my parentage as another layer of me but it is not totally me. It is another step in the journey of becoming more of my true self. I am more than a mother. You know you are more than a mother. I know in your inner world your son means so much to you. He is your prince. Your reflection of self worth is being beamed into your son. He is being groomed. You are his life coach you are demonstrating to him how to live. He is his own person he will teach you and you him. He's so blessed. I used to feel guilty and still do sometimes about not being that mother that dresses her child prim and proper all the time. I'm more concerned with my child's nutrition, comfort, emotions and behaviour. Everyone has their style and priorities in parenting. We all love you and your son. He's held in a loving community. When you wish for excellence which I believe is something the ego craves, that you can help this with humility, being humble. I think that journey is very difficult, and different for everyone. You gain the ability to play again. You can laugh at yourself more easily. Your focus of being in the moment is more important than the moment you get a dose of self importance. And when you do that it can be even more rewarding when you see that other person smile and laugh at your unhindered self showing the joy you have from being with them. Teal, it really struck me when you said you are afraid of people seeing your pain. I had a dream where I met you and you were very sad and you needed comfort. I don’t see it as something that makes your work insignificant, it makes your work strong and it makes you someone who I feel can understand the depths of suffering ❤️
It's nice being part of this conversation because authenticity can be so rare in todays world up to the point that people now only want to hear or see the subjective side of the truth rather than the objective side of it. A good example of this scenario is imagine a female student falling in love with her teacher, no matter how truely connected they're no one on this planet will ever see that as true love or real connection.
"lose your mind and come to your senses", loved that! If I may make a judgement based on this and one other vid with Teal and Ralph, It seems Teal comes from a much more intellectually sculpted teaching method and Ralph's expression is sculpted from the heart's methods, to put it simply. Both of you are wonderful! Not sure my judgement is at all warranted but I found my own intellectual approach to these things to be based on my wanting to challenge the skeptics in their own arena, plus i didn't do well in school. Just some possible insights to play with. Ralph definitely triggers my heart chakra, Teal is a fun flashlight into the mind!

This is why I have so much respect for Teal, she has a strong womb, she is transparent and shares her human struggles openly with others to help and share, I feel intense resistance on Ralph’s side when it comes to willingness to be deeply vulnerable and completely transparent, it feels like he is afraid to show any kind of negative emotion or struggle and I feel a judgment of “throw that out” it feels like when he does talk(like when Teal asked him to share a situation after she shared her struggles with the perfect mommy judgment, he diverts it and brings up issues others had with him, he only skims the top of the water and then hops back into a boat of “pure positive focus” which is amazing but I personally feel that in a dualistic world it’s almost impossible to authentically maintain pure positive focus towards oneself and I feel that though the concept can progress you immensely, it can hinder you as well if you have resistance to any thoughts of shadow areas that you could grow in, growth isn’t always comfortable. I can see my own judgments towards Ralph, I am trying to work on that, I’m not always sure how, but intuitively, I just don’t feel a deep authentic vibration coming from him, I do see the big smile but I don’t feel a willingness to be deeply vulnerable, and that is something that I judge as necessary for me to connect with someone as a spiritual “teacher” This is just my interpretation, I connect with Teal much much more. But I am grateful that they have both helped people awaken and I understand that it’s not that Ralph is wrong, I just do not connect with him deeply,(ironically, I’m a Pisces too)

I'm only 20 minutes into this video and I couldn't help but respond before this video was over. I want to say Teal you are a very strong women who speaks with authenticity which is inspiring and admirable. Yes, I felt the resistance when you announced to the public you put your job before your child and value work more then your child in a sense. But I know deep down you love your child and if he needed you he would be there in a moment. Which I see in a prior post 2 years ago. Admitting to your truth is admirable . I found Ralph first back in May of 2017 after my first spiritual awakening and was enlightened. I'm proud of you both, you've created a movement ( both of you ) that has and will continue to change lives. I think this video is great and its not even finished. I think it will show your clients that the resistance has to be worked on because its always about what we should or shouldn't do . I have ptsd , bi polar , gad, borderline personality disorder . Because of both of you , I'm a better person and have learned strong valuable priceless lessons thru your words and experiences. I relate 100 percent with Teal and find more faith watching her journey. She's doing exactly what someday I will be doing and I just love her courage and how real she actually is . Teal I'm doing my own therapy and you've been extremely useful in my recovery. I watch two to four videos each night :)

Saying how you really feel gains more friends and respect and it is so rare. The art of being authentic is not to hurt others while you are being true to yourself. I sit in my own truth but i am aware that other's have not reached a growth point to understand each gift of individuality. The inner empowerment of being authentic means anything different to my world and view point is the real adventure and growth of life. Excellence can be exhausted as exhausting. Yes a billion times yes! Being compassionate with my clients opens them up way more then tough love I've seen some do. I feel my relationship with my child is much greater when I show compassion. And we listen to each other a lot more.

Teal with all due respect, I disagree that your son is not your priority. I believe he is. Just the fact that are talking about this and having this conversation he is your priority. I believe you do everything you can to make sure he is taken care of, looked after by the best people and that he is happy. Even though you can't be there personally because of the high calling of your life, you make sure he is taken care of.
So, if she dropped everything that makes her who she is, to give her son everything he needed emotionally, wouldn’t that ultimately lead to her son growing up believing the only way to be a good parent/uncle/friend/husband etc.. is to give up everything just to fulfill their emotionally and physically needs? I’m a long way from healing. But these two people have helped me in so many ways. Thank you.

Numbness and not being awareness of your numbness is real, not entirely good nor bad, a coping mechanism I think. You can use that perhaps, but to let it use you...

People have a tendency to put spiritual teachers and any type of teacher for that matter, on a pedestal and some people expect these teachers to to be "perfect" in every way. The fact is that even though Teal and Ralph (and others) are sharing amazing advice, they are human too, and they have to live in this crazy, messed up world just like the rest of us. I love these two so much, I especially love their "imperfections" mostly because they have come out on top of their imperfections.
Teal, by putting yourself first and being honest and authentic, you are being an excellent mom in my opinion.
The fact that you are aware of your son's needs (even getting to the PD's), & RECOGNIZING, your own needs, shows that you are a loving, parent. It's normal Teal to work full-time (career-wise) in this system of things of CRITICAL TIMES. Your BEAUTIFUL, just the way you are, GENUINELY YOU :) ~ you don't need to have bake sales to be the best mom on earth.

Here's what I have learned from you Teal. I have a lot of difficulties with my children who are now young adults to just accept me for who I am. Because of my residence, insecurity or ego the universe continually will mirror this behavior. But when I truly let go, take total responsible for my thoughts or inner behavior it is all changeable!! I am glad I see your pain because studying it has helped me understand myself Teal. I don't find you insignificant because of it at all. Totally on the contrary. Thankyou for making yourself so vulnerable as you share your insights.
I was raised in a family where I had to be totally transparent and tell everything otherwise I would get into serious trouble. My father was sometimes hiding to spy on me and wait until the family would be gathered by the dining table to make a sermon if he thought I was hiding anything from him. To me, being able to keep some things private about my life feels like a big improvement (my hands are shaking really bad while I am writing this).
I hear what you say about authenticity, but I see it like some kind of "universal truth" that might not be good for anyone depending on where we are. I sure hope that one day I can achieve a state where I can feel good about expressing my true self fully to the world, but today it feels like it would be self-hating to impose that on myself...
If I had all the money in the world and didn't have to work. I would write, paint, meditate, watch movies, workout, play video games, practice photography, be some kind of teacher, travel a lot, and explore the world. Easy answer.

You have to know you are never alone. We are all connected your light will only bring out the light in others. Your authentic self is constant love that is connected to God! You can never be alone while in communion with GOD. Seek the kingdom first! This is a spiritual truth because that light needs blocks removed in order to shine.

Very honest interview - As a teacher myself, I know how much pressure we have to impress our students. I have learned that the (Guru complex) does not help students but to rather show that even teachers have vulnerabilities. As Ralph mentioned a great teachers is also a student.

This video was pure brilliance!! The level of authenticity was on another level. Thank you Teal and Ralph. My love for the both of you has grown deeper and as a result, my love for myself has deepened.
My father also structured his own life around other priorities than parenting, but this helped me grow to be an autonomous, brave, and resilient person. The most important thing that a parent can really give to their child is the tools to be able to handle and cope with life, and he did that for me. It would have been nice to have felt closer to him in some ways, but at the same time I know that I don't need to be dependent on anyone else for my own happiness, or in order to structure my own life. He lived his life according to his own needs and desires, and he accomplished so much because of it. I find that commendable, and hope I will one day look back on my own life and be as pleased with it as he seems to be.
Is it healthy to give your entire energy to a child? My Dad, gave an amount of energy towards me, yet, taught me it's healthy to maintain a certain amount of energy for himself...self love is very important
Teal I am the same way in terms of seeing my parentage as another layer of me but it is not totally me. It is another step in the journey of becoming more of my true self. I am more than a mother. You know you are more than a mother. I know in your inner world your son means so much to you. He is your prince. Your reflection of self worth is being beamed into your son. He is being groomed. You are his life coach you are demonstrating to him how to live. He is his own person he will teach you and you him. He's so blessed. I used to feel guilty and still do sometimes about not being that mother that dresses her child prim and proper all the time. I'm more concerned with my child's nutrition, comfort, emotions and behaviour. Everyone has their style and priorities in parenting. We all love you and your son. He's held in a loving community. Sending love and light☺

The title didn't make this seem like it'd be the most exciting discussion, but I have to admit this is probably one of the most spiritual discussions I've ever heard. I've watched this completely several times and I'm still learning new things from it. Plus, this is why I love her interviews more than anything. You get to see the most authentic Teal.
You are a wonderful human being for being honest, your son reads your heart and the love you have for him, and you know what growing up and having someone wise to look up to in your family is priceless, being outside of the current and being authentic is the best gift you can ever give to a son and that makes you the best mom, dont forget he chose you, he was counting on you to be exactly who you are. When you wish for excellence which I believe is something the ego craves, that you can help this with humility, being humble. I think that journey is very difficult, and different for everyone. You gain the ability to play again. You can laugh at yourself more easily. Your focus of being in the moment is more important than the moment you get a dose of self importance. And when you do that it can be even more rewarding when you see that other person smile and laugh at your unhindered self showing the joy you have from being with them. Teal, it really struck me when you said you are afraid of people seeing your pain. I had a dream where I met you and you were very sad and you needed comfort. I don’t see it as something that makes your work insignificant, it makes your work strong and it makes you someone who I feel can understand the depths of suffering ❤️

It's nice being part of this conversation because authenticity can be so rare in todays world up to the point that people now only want to hear or see the subjective side of the truth rather than the objective side of it. A good example of this scenario is imagine a female student falling in love with her teacher, no matter how truely connected they're no one on this planet will ever see that as true love or real connection.
"lose your mind and come to your senses", loved that! If I may make a judgement based on this and one other vid with Teal and Ralph, It seems Teal comes from a much more intellectually sculpted teaching method and Ralph's expression is sculpted from the heart's methods, to put it simply. Both of you are wonderful! Not sure my judgement is at all warranted but I found my own intellectual approach to these things to be based on my wanting to challenge the skeptics in their own arena, plus i didn't do well in school. Just some possible insights to play with. Ralph definitely triggers my heart chakra, Teal is a fun flashlight into the mind!

For so long, of all the "gurus" and teachers I've come across, I wanted to find one that was REAL. One that talked about her own troubles. So many teachers out there put on this front like they've reached the pinnacle and the rest of us are left wondering how in hell do we get there too! You're saying things that have been inside me for a long time and I am so appreciative to have discovered you. One day I hope to meet you in person. It is comforting to know there are others out there that are sick of the ego shit and wanting so badly to get back to who we were before we ditched ourselves. I love you both!! This is a great conversation! I'm really drawn to you both because you don't pretend to be perfect.
This is why I have so much respect for Teal, she has a strong womb, she is transparent and shares her human struggles openly with others to help and share,
I feel intense resistance on Ralph’s side when it comes to willingness to be deeply vulnerable and completely transparent, it feels like he is afraid to show any kind of negative emotion or struggle and I feel a judgment of “throw that out” it feels like when he does talk(like when Teal asked him to share a situation after she shared her struggles with the perfect mommy judgment, he diverts it and brings up issues others had with him, he only skims the top of the water and then hops back into a boat of “pure positive focus” which is amazing but I personally feel that in a dualistic world it’s almost impossible to authentically maintain pure positive focus towards oneself and I feel that though the concept can progress you immensely, it can hinder you as well if you have resistance to any thoughts of shadow areas that you could grow in, growth isn’t always comfortable.
I can see my own judgments towards Ralph, I am trying to work on that, I’m not always sure how, but intuitively, I just don’t feel a deep authentic vibration coming from him, I do see the big smile but I don’t feel a willingness to be deeply vulnerable, and that is something that I judge as necessary for me to connect with someone as a spiritual “teacher”
This is just my interpretation, I connect with Teal much much more.
But I am grateful that they have both helped people awaken and I understand that it’s not that Ralph is wrong, I just do not connect with him deeply,(ironically, I’m a Pisces too)

I'm only 20 minutes into this video and I couldn't help but respond before this video was over. I want to say Teal you are a very strong women who speaks with authenticity which is inspiring and admirable. Yes, I felt the resistance when you announced to the public you put your job before your child and value work more then your child in a sense. But I know deep down you love your child and if he needed you he would be there in a moment. Which I see in a prior post 2 years ago. Admitting to your truth is admirable . I found Ralph first back in May of 2017 after my first spiritual awakening and was enlightened. I'm proud of you both, you've created a movement ( both of you ) that has and will continue to change lives. I think this video is great and its not even finished. I think it will show your clients that the resistance has to be worked on because its always about what we should or shouldn't do . I have ptsd , bi polar , gad, borderline personality disorder . Because of both of you , I'm a better person and have learned strong valuable priceless lessons thru your words and experiences. I relate 100 percent with Teal and find more faith watching her journey. She's doing exactly what someday I will be doing and I just love her courage and how real she actually is . Teal I'm doing my own therapy and you've been extremely useful in my recovery. I watch two to four videos each night :)

Saying how you really feel gains more friends and respect and it is so rare. The art of being authentic is not to hurt others while you are being true to yourself. I sit in my own truth but i am aware that other's have not reached a growth point to understand each gift of individuality. The inner empowerment of being authentic means anything different to my world and view point is the real adventure and growth of life.
Excellence can be exhausted as exhausting. I think we chase excellence,... authentic excellence shows up when we become masters of what we love.

Yes a billion times yes! Being compassionate with my clients opens them up way more then tough love I've seen some do. I feel my relationship with my child is much greater when I show compassion. And we listen to each other a lot more.

Teal with all due respect, I disagree that your son is not your priority. I believe he is. Just the fact that are talking about this and having this conversation he is your priority. I believe you do everything you can to make sure he is taken care of, looked after by the best people and that he is happy. Even though you can't be there personally because of the high calling of your life, you make sure he is taken care of.
If her son was the highest priority his wellbeing would always win over all other goals. This isn't the case. Thats okay.
So, if she dropped everything that makes her who she is, to give her son everything he needed emotionally, wouldn’t that ultimately lead to her son growing up believing the only way to be a good parent/uncle/friend/husband etc.. is to give up everything just to fulfill their emotionally and physically needs? I’m a long way from healing. But these two people have helped me in so many ways. Thank you.
