The Police are my favorite band of all time STILL!! The drummer, Stewart Copeland, is one the the TOP most skilled drummers of all time. He's incredibly talented! All 3 of these men are incredibly musically talented!! 🔥🔥🔥
Definitely, do you play instruments? I play guitar, vox, bass, etc and they're top players, Copeland especially 💥🥁 I later got into Frank Zappa, who also had amazing drummers. Perhaps the Police paved my mental pathways for the FZ and prog but also for punk. I wonder if Rush was influenced a bit. Their best songs sound a bit like Police imo ✌️
The Police one of my favorite groups, saw Frank Zappa in 1974 at Ferris State University great concert 👍 Peace ✌️ Gary
@@mattjohn4731 I heard that Neil Peart had major respect for Stewart Copeland. So I think you're right about Rush.
I love music and have a few instruments that I play around with but was never disciplined enough in this area to become really good. My discipline had to be focused elsewhere. But I do wish I was better at that.
Shon, if you read this, I highly recommend watching the backstory on the drummer Stewart Copeland. It's VERY interesting!
Stewart Copeland, the drummer, is considered one of the best and most original of all time
Yeah definitely! Also he had this solo project Klark Kent in 1978. When you hear it, you see he already has the Police sound and formed the group in its vision basically. Then Sting became the songwriter and they became stars
@@AnthonyL0401 ❤️❤️❤️
“Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic”. 🔥🔥🔥
The Police are one of my favorite bands. 👍🏽🎯
I second this statement ... hope he checks it out
The Police "DON'T STAND SO CLOSE TO ME", "EVERY LITTLE THING SHE DOES IS MAGIC", "WRAPPED AROUND YOUR FINGER" (original videos) (ALL of their songs are incredible!!!). The lead singer, Sting, has an incredible solo career as well. Please react to Sting "FORTRESS AROUND YOUR HEART", "FRAGILE", "DESERT ROSE" (original videos).
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Stewart Copeland is the drummer's drummer!
I think Shon would love "Spirits in the Material World"
Good song 😎
🌸 of all the reactors I've watched, you have the most deep understanding so quickly of what each song is saying... I'm quite impressed.
Stewart Copeland is a genius on the drums. It's part of what made the band so amazing. They're all so talented! Dude, you're just scratching the surface. You're going to find a few more favorites as you dig deeper into their catalog. Great reaction!
I remember there was an excitement when the Police hit…a whole new beat, cool sound. 😊
" I can't stand losing you" is my favorite Police groove. I do love the guitar riff in this.
A Police song that's often overlooked is "Voices in My Head" from the Zenyatta Mondatta album. There's not a lot going on lyrically, but Stewart Copeland's skills are on full display on it.
Great call! Masterful drums on that track for sure 👍🏻
"Every Little Thing She Does is Magic' is a great song by the Police!! Also 'Roxanne' & 'Don't Stand so Close to Me'. They have a deep rabbit hole.
The Police, Rush, and Cream represent 3 (coincidentally and purposely) of the best power trios of their eras. There are countless more in the punk (Sex Pistols, Green Day, etc.) and hip hop/rap worlds (De La Soul, Beastie Boys, Digable Planets, and others), as well as other genres, especially jazz. Something about the good fortune of matching three talented artists can make make aural magic. Love your channel, Shon. Keep it up.
Hey SHON, You are frikin awesome man ! Love your enthusiasm and fantastic reactions/reviews of music video songs. Just discovered you and IMMEDIATELY subscribed ! Now I am binge watching ! Thanks a lot for entertaining us followers. One last thing, YOUR personality glows and comes out through the screen plus the icing on the cake is that YOU are soooooooooooooo good looking ! 🔥🔥🔥Blessings and wishes of great health all the way from Palm Springs, California . ..... Post Script: PLEASE go check out the British band: DEPECHE MODE. Start with People are People, Enjoy The Silence, Policy Of Truth and continue on ...........
The Police frontman, STING has had an absolutely amazing solo career. I highly recommend reacting to Desert Rose! It is one of his many, many solo career hits.
YES! Check out Stings solo career some great hits👍 Peace ✌️ Gary 😊
The voice that hooked me for life!!❤
MESSAGE WELL RECEIVED FOR SURE...what a song!
i love seeing their vids cause they're fun and show their personalities.
please do "every littlie thing she does is magic" next.
don't stand so close to me
walking on the moon
wrapped around her finger
are spirits in a material world.
Shon, if you read this, I highly recommend watching the backstory on the VERY talented drummer Stewart Copeland. His Dad was the head of the CIA. Because of this, when Stewart was young and born in Virginia USA, they had to move around a bit bc of his Dad's career. After moving from the USA, he grew up in Egypt and Lebanon. These are the places he learned his very unique drumming skills that most don't have. It's a VERY interesting story! He's my favorite drummer of all time (Neil Peart from Rush is my second favorite drummer).
'So Lonely', 'Can't stand losing you', 'Roxanne'....... All bangers
I knew you'd like this one! Next up, do Roxanne, I think you'll really enjoy that one as well. Another big time banger, and I guarantee you'll make it a playlist.
Man I love this song. Hit me hard as a young person
Walking on the Moon
One of my favorite Stewart Copeland drum songs. So many flurrious moments.
Listen to "Walking on the moon" for some great drum work.
@@tikikamoi Yesssssss ❤️❤️❤️
I heard in an interview with the drummer, Stewart Copeland, that the band was originally called F*** the Police, but the record companies wouldn't go with that, so they shortened it to the Police.
I'm praying that was True. LOL
Halestorm- mine,
Headpins- mine all mine
Master class in jamming!
Walking on the Moon is an incredible tune that showcases Stings bass abilities…
Reggae-fied Rock!
🔥🤘🏽🔥
Love the storytelling of the lyrics of this song. Mostly the way the tale is turned on its head by 100 million bottles.
I saw the Police in concert in 2007 at the Turin stadium.....sold out with 70 thousand people
Watch live police.."Driven to tears" ..live 1980 Frejus France
WALKING ON THE MOON by Police!
"Fields of gold"
should be next for sure, not because it's one of the greatest songs ever made, but also because it's an interesting contrast to this one. So it gives you an idea just how great Sting is.
Great reaction btw 👍
Just so he knows, that one is Sting solo without the Police.
@@SK-lk3iuOh yes, you're right, I should've mentioned that. But I would say that Police wouldn't be Police without him.
So it's pretty much about Sting at the end. Kinda like Fletwood Mac and Stevie Nicks. All excellent musicians, but Stevie gave them that X factor.
Roxanne, Every Little Thing She Does is Magic...I think a lot of them beat Every Breath You Take...they played that one so much on the radio, they wore it out and now I hate it.
I saw them in concert the summer of 1982. It was great! (Aside from just about getting killed in the rush for "General Seating")
Soldier Field Chicago with the Go Gos opening act? Sorry if I pushed you 😮
Saw them live way back when….I was born at the right time to see so so so many great bands….I’m 68
Sweet reaction A+
You should also check the vocalist Sting. His solo career was huge.
Check out Regatta de Blanc and/or Bring on the Night. Brings back memories of browsing through albums in Tower Records and hearing The Police playing over the stores stereo system. Had to stop what I was doing to go up to the counter to see what they were playing. That was in 1979. Great memories.
the police were and still a great band from the 80s , lead singer sting went out on his own and created some great music and is a super talent , i hope you react to sting , he has some great music (if you love someone set them free , every little thing she does is magic , and dont stand so close to me ) to name a few , glad you reacted to this and as always appreciate/love your reaction !
"Why are they trying to defund these guys?" That was funny...
Good song. I also like Sting's song 'Englishman in New York'. I hope the bro reacts to that song one day, if he hasn't heard it already.
What a fantastic beat! Wow! ❤
Sting the lead singer was an English teacher before he did music
This is SUCH a good song! I was singing it as I clicked the video, haha!
Sick drumming🔥
Love the Police and Sir Sting ❤
gotta check out " Cant stand losing" and " Walking on the Moon"!!!!
🌸 good morning, Shon !
Also Sting the lead singer. He was in the movie dune. He was also in a movie. I don't remember the name of it right off hand but he was playing a Dr Frankenstein character and I forget what all else he was in
Mega drummer Steve Copeland rocks mega track love police since 1980
First song I heard from them was walking on the moon but they have many great songs every little thing she does is magic and Roxanne and can't stand loosing you and don't stand so close to me and the misunderstood song every breath you take
since you're into lyrics you have to check "the shape of my heart" by sting from police! ;)
🇬🇧 You are taking me back to my teens Shon. Some more hits by The Police are "Roxanne" "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" "So Lonely" & "Can't Stand Losing You". ENJOY 🎶🎼👍
In 1982, these guys left a ticket on my soul. I've been happily paying the fine ever since.
P.S. A little-known song of theirs that I think you'd really love is "Masoko Tanga". FIERY vibe. Do check it out. :)
Great reaction on one of my favourite bands. You must do your aural orifices a kindness, and hear this song from "the Secret Policeman's (other) Ball" Sting sings "Message In A Bottle" live, the emotion comes through even more poignantly, and his guitar notes at the last have a sound reminiscent of Morse Code signals.
Have Fun,
Loving your reactions,
Carlos.
I love this song, thank you Shon.
Thanks!
Great song by a great band. My favourite song of all time is Down in the Tubestation at Midnight by The Jam which is from the same era, worth checking it out, possibly 😊
this is DEFINITELY better than "ebyt", by miles! the energy, lyrics, gorgeously interesting time-changes and melody - an absolute BANGER and one of my most favourite police songs ❤
you'd also love "every little thing she does is magic" - simply wonderful 😊
every member is a master in their own right:
sting - songwriter, vocals, bass
andy summers - guitar
stewart copeland - drummer extraordinaire
they were only together 7 years (1977 - 1983) but made a serious impact on music. sting has also gone on to an illustrious solo career.
Huh! I never saw this video before. I didn’t watch a lot of MTV. The cadence of this song reminds me a lot of reggae but Sting and the guys add a really unique twist to it which is very different and exciting with all the tempo changes. Cool song.
Check out Walking On The Moon, if you love reggae.
I look forward to your reactions!!
Hi Shon, like I've said before The Police is one of my top bands as a former musician, if you like watching Tubi free stream you can watch the movie made by Guitarist Andy Summers called Can;t Stand Losing You
Shon! Awesome man! The police have so many great hits but Sting himself has many too.. check out Desert Rose, it's beautiful. 😎❤️👍
Great reaction. Yeah this one is perhaps their best. Better than Every Breath, imo. But also dig One World, Roxanne, So Lonely, Spirits In Material World, King Of Pain, Every Little Thing She Does, Synchronicity 2, Don't Stand So Close To Me, Can't Stand Losing You. Their first single was Fallout but most of their titles are long.
Another great one!
I hope you do King of Pain or Wrapped Around Your Finger next. Love your channel and your reactions.
Roxanne good one. eddy in 48 hours ROXANNE YOU DONT HAVE TO TURN ON THE RED LIGHT😂😂😂😂😂
Great reaction bro…. Check out “Roxanne” ❤️
you would thoroughly enjoy "WRAPPED AROUND YOUR FINGER" LIVE tho
@@swampfizz ❤️❤️❤️
You need to see Sting do this solo.Secret Policemans other ball
Excellent reaction 🥰 These are very different genres, but I’d like to recommend Planet Caravan by Black Sabbath, Cosmik Debris from Frank Zappa and anything Janis Joplin😁🖤
I agree… like your take Shon… 😂 Black Sabbath good song 🎵 & can’t go wrong with Zappa & The Mother’s of Invention… anything from Weasels Rip at my Flesh!!!
The JAM: Going Underground!!!
Please please please. Check out Sting solo. Start with Englishman in new york. Smooth jazz with a twist
You should check out Shekhinah, Diana Gordon and Beth Hart
Shon , if you like Sting check out his collab with Craig David in "Rise & Fall" ... 🔥😁
Shon, based on your reactions I really think you would enjoy
At This Moment by Billy Vera and the Beaters.
I’ve been binge watching your video since I found your channel and I haven’t seen this song yet but I might be mistaken. Keep up the good work, my brother
You have to do Roxanne, Eddie Murphy loved that aong❤
Loverboy- kid is hot tonight, d.o.a
Also check out bad seamstress blues by Cinderella
They were all master musicians.. what happen to black America they don’t play instruments anymore .. it’s time to change that
Please react to Eurythmics " When tomorrow comes "
Thank you and Greetz from Germany 🇩🇪
Stewart Copeland (drummer) is the best of the best…
The Police are a good group but they had too many ego's in one band.
“CANARY IN A COAL MINE”
Listen to Roxanne by Police.
COPELAND l'AS des batteurs....
Walking on the Moon
