- Building A Smokeless Firepit and Gravel Area...How Did I Do?
We are always looking for the best and cheap side of DIY. This may not have been my most cheap but this backyard was under $1000. I did a DIY smokeless firepit and gravel area at one of my new airbnb's I'm working on. This was my first time so take it easy on me in the comments and give me some pointers for next time so i can actually get the holes drilled 💀
Let me know what you want to see next on my 11 acre glamping project in the comments below!

How did I do for my first try?
You have an echo in the recording.
I’ve been debating on doing my first fire pit. Compared to all the videos I have watched so far it looks good as the other videos.
Beautiful job
Thank you so much! Round 2 coming soon hopefully with improvements lol
Great video, love these smokeless fire pits! In your next build you might consider a few (4?) holes in the bottom of the fire pit so you can bring air to the fire's base? Also, you might see the secondary burn effect if you build a large/wide fire that fills up the pit.
Thanks for watching! Very good points. I definitely have a couple improvements for the next one that will address those issues. I'm going to build an underground pvc pipe from outside of stones that will bring more air to the fire. I agree about the larger fire because I actually think I should have went smaller ring overall on the next one.
Your problem is most likely the drill. I'm actually drilling a fire pit right now and I am using a corded drill with a side handle because my battery-powered drill doesn't give enough power or control. Also, I found that having a pointed drill bit works better than a standard bit. If I could do this over, I would use a step bit up to my hole size to make the drilling easier.
Also, drilling pointed down is easier since your oil doesn't run as much and you can put your weight behind it.
I agree completely on the drill part. All very good tips as well..I'm about to start on number 2 soon and hoping for better results with the drill haha Thanks for watching!
Your drill was set in reverse?
Definitely not lol may have seemed like it though
Bruh it’s over 100 outside now
Thats too cold!
Not bad buttttt I would have went alittle diff and you could have came out ab out 400 cheap
Should do the concrete diy barrier stone only about 45 bucks , if you had taken you shovel and cut the grass into sections could have gotten past the tiller , the fire ring you have a couple options they sell some for like 47 bucks on line or you could have mounted some metal plates in your pit ,weed barrier at dollars general Is 5 dollars a roll .
@@williamgoss6226 the grass definitely wasn’t coming up that easy. I had to use the tiller or some type of sod cutter. I’m not sure about concrete for barrier aesthetically but I’ll definitely check out weed barrier at other spots and fire ring for next ones. Thanks for watching and input!
Yeah I’m in the process of doing the same setup only a 14ft diameter and I’m renting a damn mini skid to get my grass up it’s so strong my tiller won’t touch it haha
@@travislachendro327 it was by far my toughest portion lol where are you located? Always interesting hearing how location effects methods so much
@@niceflippingchoice I always wondered the same thing. I started my this morning and currently laying on the living room floor on a break gasping…
I look for videos to watch to motivate me to get up and get back out there it’s ROUGH! (South west Arkansas)
