I have both. I use Opti Seal as my base coat and bead maker as a weekly drying aid to add gloss and slickness. Opti Seal I find holds up much better as a water repellent if I apply Opti Seal by massaging it cross hatch like a traditional sealing vs just spray and wipe. Great products. Opti seal is amazing on wheels too.
I agree. When I apply Opti-Seal as suggested - foam applicator / let the high spots flash away before wiping. This is much different than spraying and wiping.
i love Optiseal, so versatile... 2 spray per panel or the windows..drying aids after onr wash, i also top it with opti polymer wax...the gloss is Awesome! and the bonus is, when putting Optimum Glosscoat ceramic coat, you can put optiseal on top of the coating after 1 hr, wait another hour, and the car is good to go, even if its raining! Glosscoat will cure under the optiseal..;-)

Anthony, really enjoying your new content, some of your best yet, its very informative, education is key when making a purchasing decision. Where does Wowo's Crystal Sealant fall in the spectrum?
Just got my first purchase from the rag company and still having to watching videos to make sure I’m doing all the steps in the right order. I’m sure the more I practice, the easier it gets. Just don’t want to ruin the new truck paint.
3:37 Correct, HOWEVER streaking can also occur in humid conditions like here in FL. To minimize this I use your Creature towel or a 400GSM towel to apply bead maker and then do a dry wipe immediately using your black all purpose mf towel (300 GSM). I apply product directly to the creature towel to control application, especially when working outside.
@@craig.encinitas Yes, easy also to dry the wheels with Opti-Seal and it keeps the cleaning much easier in the future. I like easy and enjoyable over products which last the longest!
I drench my car in Bead Maker, it's great and smells awesome. But what if you apply it over something as hydrophobic as Wowo's Contact 121? Does it end up less hydrophobic than the wax or coating itself?
The base coat of product could reject Bead Maker. Also, I last applied Bead Maker via foam applicator pad. There was no need to drench the car in it. They suggest saturating the panels because microfiber towels soak up Bead Maker. Thought I would try it my way...and used very little product with similar results.
At about the 5:30 mark he says there are no right and wrong but about what you are looking for in a paint protectant. It's all about what you want and are comfortable using.
A question I have is, is you protection only only going to last as long as your weeakest product. For example if I have a spray wax say meguiars x-press spray wax 2.0 and then put meguiar's hybrid ceramic wax on top of the spray wax would the protection of the hybrid wax fall as the rate of the spraywax deteriorates since the hybrid wax is bonding to the spray wax and not the panel directly
Opticoat Hyper Seal is more of a hybrid ceramic spray sealant. It is said to be more durable, but I'm still testing it. Very nice so far. I spray it onto a foam applicator, and apply like I would Opti-Seal or Gloss Coat. It was intended as a drying aid for Opticoated vehicles.
Latest version of Hyper Seal has some SIC as well as SIO2 components and is claimed to last up to 1 year. Seems to work OK on top of OptiCoat Pro+ though microfiber towels tend to "drag" during drying after a wash.
Optiseal is a good product but it does not last anywhere 6 to 9 months, 2-months at best on a daily driver washed 2x monthly. You really should turn the BS meter down
I've had some on a trunk lid since May. This is the first time I had it last this long. Before I was lucky to get a week or two out of it. The first round I tried doing a spray and wipe with a microfiber towel. Garbage. Then I used the foam applicator. I could never figure out if I had enough on my applicator. I was severely under using it and immediately wiping after application. Garbage results again. Finally started applying enough to "flash" on the panel. But wiped away immediately. Meh results. Now I apply enough for the flashing to occur and wait until most of it has flashed away before knocking down the high spots. Much better performance. If I polish with Hyper Polish first... It actually very good. Man I was pissed when I first got it though. That bottle sat around for YEARS. I just finished it over the summer of 2022. I think I had that bottle since 2016 or 2017.
Really?? I’ve been using it for years and find it does not take much product to keep my cars looking/feeling great. I have 4 cars and buy a gallon annually. $35 on Amazon. Cheap to me but I respect your opinion
This wasn't a case of someone using the grammatically-incorrect phrase "more-better" (A crude way of saying something is "even greater") In this case, Anthony was rhetorically asking if the *amount*, (i.e. "more") was better. His usage of "more" was actually grammatically-sound in this particular case. That said, I'll be the first to say that Anthony's signature move is saying "is" in place of "are" when speaking off the top of his head to the camera, lol.

I like pairing Opti-Seal with Optimum Car Wax.
OCW is pretty darn durable on its own too. It also smells great and is super slick.

Well done TRC, I had no idea what Opti-Seal was.I trust Anthony when he talks to me about “protection”.
Opti-Seal might just be my favorite product ever.
Maybe also the best working drying aid ever also? Love it still even after I’ve tried many new hyped products!

Agreed. Hard to beat Opti-Seal as a drying aid when you're doing an ONR wash in the garage in the winter.

Difference between opti seal dry application and wet application after an ONR wash for example? Which is better?
Dry application will deliver the maximum performance from OOS.
A wet application is about half the potency of dry.

Can we combine both or add something like Turtle Wax Seal and Shine on top?
Try P&S Defender. We still need to make a video on that product, but it is a fantastic quick detailer with insane slickness.

How do you think Opti-Seal compare's to Turtle Wax Seal and Shine?
TW will likely (but not definitely) out last OS. It also has water behavior preferred by most enthusiasts.

Hyperseal by optimum blows both these products away in slickness, shine, and durability
Can’t say Opti seal is good at beading any water. Most reviews I’ve seen of it shows water behavior almost like it is a bare panel.
We prefer the hydrophobic effects of Bead Maker as well
