Yeah but unfortuntely this answer is kinda... like not 100% right? I hear a lot of people who use sealants and wash right away no issues. Just like the comment below yours atm.
After 13 months of my drying towels being exposed to Opti-Seal, Beadmaker and/or Wowo's Quick Detailer...they are still working great and no sign of hydrophobicity. They always go straight into the washer with free and clear detergent, 1/2 cup distilled white vinegar in the bleach port and washed with an extra rinse cycle.
Soak them first in hot water and 2 drops (2 drops only) of dishwashing liquid for about an hour then throw it in the wash with MF wash. My towels stay nice and fluffy. You guy are awesome.
I have a small portable washer i use to wash my towels. All get washed immediately after use. One reason i like smaller drying towels .. easier to clean and rinse out. If i cant they go into a bucket with ONR.
That doesn't make any sense if you're washing them and cleaning them then they're getting cleaned. Why would it disperse and just spread all over the other products and stick to them. Then that means things like your microfiber wash doesn't even work. The logic behind this makes no sense at all. I want to see actual data not just conjecture.
Really good info, Anthony you are doing a phenomenal job giving out great info., stuff everyone needs to know before they even start detailing. If you work on your car you clean your tools afterward, everyone should know how to care care for thier expensive microfibers.
Thanks! There is some good, useful info in this video. I have wondered for some time if my Eagle Edgeless towels were going to leach sealant and cross contaminate my towel wash. Do you see any value in adding an oz of free n' clear detergent an into a bucket of water and also adding, say 1/4 cup of white distilled vinegar to the solution? Maybe tossing the towels in as you finish wiping the spray sealant off of the panels so to not allow the sealant to dwell in the towel.
Good question! We actually just released a new Microfiber cleaner that will be out here shortly. We will be debuting that product on this channel here shortly within the next week. Stay tuned!
Oh I'm guilty of mistreating my towels then! I love my beadmaker but I only use the one towel to apply so it goes into the MF wash. Please forgive me and tell me all is not lost forever..... Realistically, washing only one towel seems to be a waste so is hand wash acceptable?
Finally someone is answering these questions. Keep ‘em coming.

@@detailforward2530 unless they have ceramic on them. They get crunchy and can't be used again
The vinegar is probably the secret stuff that is keeping them nice.

So you recommend putting sealant soaked towels in a bucket of ONR but ONR isn’t even strong enough to break down a sealant or wax🤔.
Yeah this video is literally full of contradictions and lack of actual clarity...
I use meguiar's synthetic spray wax as a drying aid. I just dunk my drying towel in my onr bucket before use. seems to work fine.

So is a 1:10 solution of Meguiar's APC, for example, OK in a bucket?
Does it matter if the water mix is cold or warm water.

Glad you think so!

How do I fix my hydrophobic towels?!?😭😭 I’ve done that with my towels.... and they don’t absorb for 💩
We have a process that we are working on!
@@TheRagCompanyFAQ any update on this solution???
@@Dcervantes243 They are promoting their Rags 2 Riches microfiber cleaner at the moment.
So... What to do if you use an old fashioned synthetic paint sealant, liquid or paste? Or a wax, for that matter? 😌
Hi bros... Have you guys found the solution on how not to make our towels hydroponic?
There wasnt any follow up video to make towels no longer hydrophobic? Or did I miss it @theragcompany
