1. That arrow tells you where the fuel door is, it's on every car 2. It's a giant luxury car with a turbo charged V8, of course mileage is going to be shit 3. You have to hold the button to change the seat because if it were a 1 click thing you could end up putting yourself in a very uncomfortable position if you were to choose a tiny person's seat position by accident 4. The exhaust complaint too. It's not a sports car and most people who buy this thing will not make use of the active exhaust, there's really no point. +MickyAvStickyHands It's most likely a safety feature. If you click it once and the seat starts moving back without being able to reach it, you are putting yourself in danger. Hey Vehicle Virgins! Concerning the memory seats, have you tried pressing the button once when the door is open? (In the Volkswagen Touareg, if you press the button while the door is open you don't need to hold it, but once you've closed the door you have to hold to get it to the right position) Hope this helps!
+Vehicle Virgins I don't know if the new S-Classes do this, but on my 86, you can adjust the seat with the car off if you have the door open, but you have to have the car on to adjust it with the door closed. Also you nailed how awkward holding the memory button to move the seat is, at least in the 80s cars there was a little tab sticking out between the buttons for positions 1 and 2 to keep your fingers from slipping off.
+Vehicle Virgins aye its the same in my BMW, its safety feature to prevent the seat from running away while you are driving. some cars need doors open, some need to be in parking gear. whats important is that i read my cars stupid manual so i know how the shit works.

There is no remote start but here in Europe you have the option to get a pre-heater by which you can start the climate control via remote or timer and set the temperature, you can get that on almost every car
+MrJeronimo94 my father has a pre heater in his passat and it's perfect.. just remote start it half an hour bevore you want do drive and you get into a nice warm car.. and even the engine is warmed up
2016 models come with remote start through MBrace. There is still issues with it. Some people can get remote start through aftermarket. Main reason why there isn't any on german vehicles is because of government environmental regulation. That changed when BMW, MB, and Audi introduced automatic/remote parking. GM, Ford, and Dodge have standard remote start.
And so is the need to have your hand on the steering wheel so you can react to unexpected situations. Many of his complaints I found bloody stupid, complaining about not hearing the exhaust, if he wants to hear the exhaust he's picked the wrong car, it's designed to be relaxing and as quiet as possible. The fuel gauge being a percentage is easy enough, the distance remaining on cars generally is a seperate section of the trip computer. The clock is personal taste and so on. The only one I would agree on is the shitty fuel economy.
Drew Tran I have a 2012 Infiniti G37 and it has memory seats that is 1 click. But it only works when the car is in park so idk why Mercedes wouldn't do that
If you want to check how many miles you have left you have just to go on trip and check on consumption...You said it right, if you want AMG's sound you should buy one of those...
The memory is the way it is, as it is a dead man's switch (i guess it might be called) so the seat stops immediately when you lift off the button.. It's just a safety thing
About the seat position, there is a very valid reason, and that's safety. Imagine you lend the car to someone who is tall with long legs. He then pushes a number which sends the seat fully forward (because you're a midget) and he can no longer use the pedals and crashes. Not good...
+Nike_Based_G0d __ You can. But you may get a penalty for it at the end of the lease. And wheels are an easily reversible mod. But the wheels are fine, I wouldn't change them especially when they're purpose built for this car to be quite and comfortable.
Okay, maybe some of these things should be explained to you. 1) The fuel gauge. As someone already mentioned, the arrow is there to show on which side is the gas tank so that you won't have to check it before you drive on the fuel pump if you don't remember it. Most cars have had it (the same exact icon) for a long time, and it's hard to see why it should confuse anyone for that reason. 2) And for the fuel consumption. What did you expect? 4.7l bi-turbo V8 (450hp and enough torque to move an island) with awd to move about a 4,774lb land yacht in start/stop traffic. 3) The memory seat buttons. You have to press and hold them for safety. If you cruise on an autobahn @ 250km/h and would accidentaly press one memory button, the seat won't reclaim to a position you don't want it to. I hope you can understand that. I believe that most memory seats work that way, at least all that I've been using. 4) For people like you who don't like to mess about with the settings, there are simple buttons on the dash, and I find those very convenient to use. No one forces you to go and specify the climate settings if you don't want to, but I find all those options nice to have available, although I rarely use those. Just put it in auto, and set your desired temperature. 5) Now in a car like this, the exhaust is not meant to sound at all, the engine is supposed to be whisper quiet and smooth as Sean Connery. Which, as you mentioned, it is. If you want the roaring exhaust, why don't you buy the AMG one. 6) For the clock. Well, what can you say. I personally don't find it tacky at all, even on the cheaper models. Personally, I like the base model one even better. And I'm a watch fan too. But I guess that's a question of opinion. 7) I don't know whats wrong with your bluetooth system. After you've paired your phone for the first time with the car, it does connect it automatically in less than five seconds. And that is with several different S- and E-classes, and with different phones (iPhone, different android devices) as well. You should have that checked at a dealer. 8) As you said yourself, you have to keep your hands on the wheel because of regulations. I never personally like to use the autonomous features, I like to drive the car by myself. But yeah, that's a fairly useless feature in todays standards. Although it's quite cool. 9) Again I believe that the lack of scroller on the steering wheel is to avoid accidental volume changes while turning the wheel. What I do find annoying tho with the volume controls is that when you end a call, and you left the music/radio volume too high, it takes a few seconds before you could adjust the volume lower. 10) Now again, if you buy a 120 grand car, I find it stupid not to pay another few hundred for the cooled rear seats if you need those. Mercedes have always left most of the options for the buyer to choose. Sure, a merc is more expensive a buy than some other cars, but I think that doesn't come as a surprise for anyone. All the backseat features do come as standard if you buy the lwb version, but with the short one I think most buyers don't need those features. And for the pre-heating there are devices that allow you to heat the engine and the interior without starting the engine. In Europe at least they are very common and can be ordered with the car from the factory for not too much money. Starting the engine remotely for pre-heating purposes is just stupid. Sure, this is your point of view. What I did here, is I tried to explain why Mercedes has done things this way and that none of those are that way due to lack of designing or whatever was your point on this video.
HAHHAHA! Eddie with a wig! Ah thats perfect. Thanks for embracing the hate. Love it. They hate because they're jealous. Speaking of Eddie with a wig, you should have her review all of your vehicles. Assuming she doesn't know much about cars, or isn't into cars, it would be funny for her to review your cars, in your style. What 5 things she loves about your cars, 5 things she hates about your cars.
I have a mint '87 420SEL and it also has the seat memory buttons that you have to old. But it does have remote start. I just never use it. It's always garaged in bad weather. Never on the road with snow, salt or even rain. lol
The arrow next to the fuel gauge tells you what side the fuel cap is on. Memory buttons need to be held to prevent accidental button presses. You would probably complain about accidental button presses instead then. S550 it's about being quiet, not hearing the car if you wanted to hear that V8 then you really should have sprung for the AMG, also V8 and fuel economy don't exactly go hand in hand. Beautiful car, did you get the business class style seats in the back?
Oh come on! The memory seats work flawlessly! It takes no more than 5 seconds to adjust the seat. Imagine what would happen if you unintentionally pressed the number while driving and the seat moved all the way forward to your grandma's position. :) Also, remote start is available as an option, at least in my country.
+Julien Xu He's talking about the rectangular window of the gas pump icon itself. which even kid knows is the picture of a gas pump and not a level indicator.
Hey man for this top 10 list it just seems that you can't really find anything to say about the car and starts to pick on memory and volume buttons and stuff...
@Big Boss This is his idea of the video. It is fact that the car is nearly perfect and also mercedes calls it the best car in the world. With this Video he wanted to tell what mercedes could do better in its next generation/facelift. But also I think the title with "hate" sounds to extreme.
Enjoyed your video. A couple of responses. 2:31 - Regarding the 'single-press to move to the correct position', a lot of companies don't tend to use these on anything mechanically complicated, in-case it begins to malfunction. Take a hard top car, almost ALL hard tops require you to hold the switch to activate the roof system whether it be opening or closing. The reason why is that say a micro-switch has failed and hasn't detected that the boot isn't fully closed, you could cause several thousand pounds of damage. It's almost like an interlock.
the triangle near the top of the fuel icon indicates which side the fuel door is on... the reason you have to hold the button for the seat is a safety feature so that if there is anything under the seat, behind the seat or perhaps a woman's dress is caught, then it would be a matter of just letting go of the button instead of in a panic trying to cancel the seat movement
1-Rectangle is showing the side of intake in case you forget it in gas station 2- the buttons need to be pushed for a bit of time its a safety future What if during drive you hit it once and that can be dangerous 3 - 30 sec Bluetooth is a bit slow but you cant hate a car for this 4 - hands on steering is another safety future another way you end up like that tesla driver All this systems are prototype 5 - its a very expensive car i agree the reason for is over engineering and so much quality control on each car 6 - its a car for transporting vip people all over the world so much sound signature is not convenient for it . At last I'm not a fan of this car i love he's videos but this one i think not as good as much
Well no shit, People who want to hear the exhaust buy the AMG. You are driving a 60 year old grandpas car, what do you expect!!? A fucking straight pipe???
On my W211 If you press it with the door open it automatically adjusts the steering wheel and seat to the desired position. Also, did you opt for the heated steering wheel? That's my favorite about mine!
Of all the full size sedans you have driven(S class, 7 series, A8 L, CT6, XJ, LS), which do you like the best? I honestly prefer the S-class, but all I also like the others as well. I am considering a full size sedan. Which one do you recommend?
Does the self driving feature work in places with bad lane markings or no lane markings at all? In Philadelphia, we have a lot of roads with faded lines or no lines at all
In Germany you're not allowed to have your engine running to heat up the car. It's prohibited, and so it makes sense that a German car manufacturer doesn't include it in its vehicles. I'm actually pretty shocked that you're allowed to do that in the US, but as most the cars are powered by gas-guzzling V8s over there, it probably doesn't matter if you have your engine running for 10 minutes.
Nice review. What are your thoughts on the seat ventilation/cooling feature in the fron seats? My 2015 S550 seems like it has a hard time with the cooling.
The combined highway/city gas mileage average is a figure prominently displayed on the window sticker of all new cars on a dealer lot. How can you complain about low mpg when that was information available to you prior to purchase? WTF is wrong with people?
Hard to sympathise with this guy. Having my own mercedes (E250 2013) I could also state some stuff that im not fond of but its a luxury car and the way they drive and the comfort, you forget them immediately. He labels the video '10 things i HATE' about his 100k+ car and you expect people to be like 'oh yh you shouldnt have to suffer from no rear seat warmers' Come on, label it '10 annoying things about s550' and its understandable but to say you cant hear the exhaust on this luxury car designed for effortless cruising justifies some hate.
Have heard that about remote start other places as well, but my Norwegian registered 2016 Volvo XC90 has remote start via the OnCall app. Also, was remote parking warmer an option? If so, that is a much better feature than remote start, since those systems use less fuel :)
Some things I hate about my car 1. Breaks are squeaky in reverse only! 2. Backseat is pretty useless (all my bitches can't get in) 3. Scratched some paint off the bumper on the ground 4. Steering wheel bezel is chipping 5. Front bumper isn't aggressive 6. Leather on my seat looks deformed BUT I FREAKING LOVE MY CAR
Hi - the seat memory hold down is a safety feature - say for example that you're a shorter person with seat memory position/button '1', and you have a 6'3" spouse who is assigned seat memory. '2'... then, if you hit '2' by accident while doing 120mph on the autobahn.... well you get the picture!
ABOUT SEAT MEMORY: A lot of people say it's because of safety in case you click it while driving. However, a lot of car companies simply lock the function if the car is not in Parking gear. There's no reason to change the seat while driving and it is dangerous. If they lock the function while driving, then we could get a one-click system without the safety concerns.
"The X number of things I hate about (insert car name)" is a good format because it really focus's the issues with the car, and if they're all pretty trivial, then you know it's a good car. Same but opposite with the things I love about this car. Alot of reviewers are too coy about stating what they think, they just Walter Cronkite it, you know, state the friggin obvious details and leave it to the viewer to form an opinion, which is hard because WE ARE NOT DRIVING THE CAR. We need to know what YOU think, and you guys do that, so well done.
To warm the car up before you start driving is total bullshit and in germany that isn't allowed for a reason, it would be a good idea to order a pre-heater.
Actually there is a reason for the button, with the seats. That needs to be pressed all the way to reach the memory position. Think if you are driving your car and mistakely hit(click) the button. And the seats will start to move to the position. Would it be good?
The arrow shows where the gas opening is. If you look at a fuel pump with next to it even bigger *40%* and you still get confused, then the problem lies with you.
The reason that you have to hold number one instead of pressing the button is so you can stop half way through in case you realize there (for example) is something behind your chair that you will hit.
Have you even read what i had commented and also, is it really a thing to "hate" having to hold a button. Furthermore, what do you "lose" by having to hold a button that changes your seating position? Nothing!
Olle Dahl that's ancient tech, everything is stress free now. That can take at least 5 seconds to get to your preferred or memorised setting. Unlike when one just has to tap the button once, one can relax on the seat comfortably without stretching and holding a button while it adjusts itself.
Dude, you know that you could've just ordered remote heating? It doen't even require remote start, you just set the timer and your car is warm before you enter in the morning. Or just set it with the remote whenever needed..
Just in contrast : I drive a BMW e38 7-series as a daily driver. It's now exactly 20 years old, but it's in a good condition, not flawless of course, but nearly. I have a basic lcd-screen, telling me all i need to know about the car, the mileage, the miles to go with the fuel i have, the temperature, and a few other things... it's basic, but i get my info in the blink of an eye. It has all the info i need. I have manual climate control, but i adjust it, and it's there. I let my passenger to turn the one on the other side, and it's good for her as well.. a cold breeze on a summer day. I also have the exhaust, what does it's job by being absolutely silent under lower RPMs, but more and more grunty over 3,500. It's a nice car. It doesn't have a home cinema system, but it has a working fuel gage. It has everything what a car, and what a driver needs. I like to have my massage chair, my home cinema, my entertainment systems, my PC, and my techy gadgets in the livingroom better. In my car i have everything i need. I need no toys to play.. i need a car to drive, and as a car it drives. It's a pleasure to drive it. It costs now about 3000$, the fuel mileage is about 9-10L every 100 kilometres (that is less than 2,5 gallons/60miles), and it's also good. Over 100000$ for a car what is in no perspective a "better car"? Nah.. i'd rather have something else for the money ;)
One thing I hate about my 1998 Honda Accord is it isn't a 2016 Mercedes S550
A tip: you can watch movies at Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching all kinds of movies these days.
@Arian Genesis yea, been using Flixzone for years myself :)
@Arian Genesis yup, been using Flixzone for since december myself :D

Do you honestly think most normal people in the first world live like this? Are you from Mars?

TheLifeOnHigh
Well, thanks for clarifying it.
I live in the first world and i see people living like this all around me
most people in the first world countries don't live like this.
Most people who buy an S class that isn't an AMG wouldn't be looking for a loud exhaust, more comfort and quiet would be the expectation.
+Ula G (YLA Gaming) facts
Agreed
+Ula G (YLA Gaming) Most non-AMG S-Class drivers are not in their 20s. :D
Exactly and that's why anyone that wants a more sporty, louder or better exhaust system on their car would buy an Amg
even with an AMG this guy is not satisfied believe me
WTF he is buying an S class and wants to hear the V8 engine. It is built to be a quite luxury car WTF
He should of got the AMG
+Darth Jar Jar should have*

+JoshL It's for obvious safety reasons, you might not like it, but think of all the things that can go wrong with a one press operation like this.
+JoshL here are 2 examples of why your way can end up badly.
1: you are a short person and you press on the button for 2 seconds while driving, but you press the wrong button. you can end up with the seat moving too far back, making it dangerous of losing control
2: you are a tall person and you press the wrong button for 2 seconds, and you end up with the seat going full forward with a posibility to hurt your legs.
remember that, in both situations, the driver could be inexperienced with the car and panic, so he/she could not press the correct button fast enough
that gas triangle marker at 75% is to show you which side the gas door is on.
🤣
"The fuel gage is a bit confusing because it says 40% and I can't read it, so I assume it is 75% and then I run out of fuel in the middle of the road, so stressful."
If you want to hear the V8, buy the AMG Version...The S class you bought is a luxury car, not a sports car
+Daniel Ranger You have a point!
Mo Vlogs fake plus I hate him
nice to hear some negative things about the car as most people just sing its praises in reviews. Keep the the reviews and ignore the negative comments
I agree, they don't want vehicle virgins to own the S class
Thank you! If I only say the positives, you don't get a real view on what the car is like to own.
+Jack Naylor Negative things like: "the bluetooth takes 30-60 seconds to pair instead of 5 seconds." Are you fucking kidding me... They could of made it so the memory seat only works when the car is at a low speed or not moving. Like most other cars that have memory seat.

+MickyAvStickyHands It's most likely a safety feature. If you click it once and the seat starts moving back without being able to reach it, you are putting yourself in danger. LMAO that's something very plausible tho good job 😄
1 thing i hate about the mercedes S550 ,
1) i dont have one
the black rectangle next to the little fuel pump indicates on which side your fuel goes in.
+Luis T. Dietz exactly. Thought everyone knew this.
+Luis T. Dietz lol, learn wtf a rectangle is ... you are referring to the little triangle...
+Luis T. Dietz you mean the triangle not the rectangle he was talking about the rectangle box which the fuel icon was inside, it wasn't one color it was like 2 blacks and it seemed like it's at 70% the whole time
I guess people don't understand that he's nitpicking because he really likes his car overall.
Right, he probably had a hard time finding problems.

it is.
if it would move automatic some fat american reatard would sue mercedes for that cause he will get stuck xD

How do you own the car when you have leased it???
Here's one thing to hate: the fact that you're leasing it. What a massive waste of money.
With these cars you save $ leasing
+Legally Locked and Loaded If you don't drive the allowed miles/lease, then it's not as bad of a deal as you think.
It's actually kinda smart considering that the S class tends to have a Massive depreciation rate...
+Ernesto Ortega R yeah he gets to drive someone else's car for 3 years for 40+ grand. Then walks away with nothing. Genius.
+Cuseball121 No, he trades it for another one. Leasing is dumb if you just stop.
Bro, how many cars do u have?
The video should have been titled first world problems
He live in a first world country and has first world problems. Where's the problem?
***** Allah ouakbar
Dahed92 good job, you figured out how to copy&paste
The "seat issue" is probably a safety feature.
+Wren Dart Exactly, and to protect children.
+MaZEEZaM and perhaps the slow Bluetooth connection.
Drew Tran I have a 2012 Infiniti G37 and it has memory seats that is 1 click. But it only works when the car is in park so idk why Mercedes wouldn't do that
Eddie with a wig. lol
If you want to check how many miles you have left you have just to go on trip and check on consumption...You said it right, if you want AMG's sound you should buy one of those...
Or just add the button he talked about. It's a V8. You don't need an AMG to hear a V8 sound.
Not good...
+SwissTec Not like you can override it by pressing on the seat adjust to stop it.
Even my 14 year old Lexus isn't that dumb...
+Aki Kurose Your point of view is wrong. Cars are made for the smart and... the stupid.
SwissTec
Even the stupid can get it wrong still.
Please can you put some nice wheels on it. It looks like a Uber right now
can't modify a lease car
+Peter Von Crastenberg a lease car is right^^
+Nike_Based_G0d __ You can. But you may get a penalty for it at the end of the lease. And wheels are an easily reversible mod. But the wheels are fine, I wouldn't change them especially when they're purpose built for this car to be quite and comfortable.
+XerrostX I think he meant an Uber*
Never on the road with snow, salt or even rain. lol
👍nice car fella ☺️.
Your actual license plate is "RUclips" ?? My man lmao
It's with an 8 instead of a B but still badass
The arrow next to the fuel gauge tells you what side the fuel cap is on.
Memory buttons need to be held to prevent accidental button presses. You would probably complain about accidental button presses instead then.
S550 it's about being quiet, not hearing the car if you wanted to hear that V8 then you really should have sprung for the AMG, also V8 and fuel economy don't exactly go hand in hand.
Beautiful car, did you get the business class style seats in the back?
they don't want you to complain about the S class that they aren't able to buy
What do you think of the LCD screens with gauges? Aren't they anoying when driving in the dark?
Will Parker ever find a perfect car? Find out on the next episode of Dragon Ball Z.
😂😂😂 dead!!!
him complaining about no exhaust note when the design the engine to be silent
this car is for old rich conservative people 45- 70
not young people who nag to much.
You talk about missing remote start, because of pre-heating the interior. Is a parking heater not an option in the US, on the S-class?
Oh come on! The memory seats work flawlessly!
It takes no more than 5 seconds to adjust the seat. Imagine what would happen if you unintentionally pressed the number while driving and the seat moved all the way forward to your grandma's position. :)
Also, remote start is available as an option, at least in my country.
+RMP1 I don't think memory seats work while driving. I know at least some cars can't.
They do on all Mercedes-Benz cars!
Can't you use MBrace to remote start with your iPhone? I have a 2015 C300, and I found out MBrace remote start is only offered on 16's and later.
Someone make a video called "10 Things I hate about Vehicle Virgins"
+FLMopar17 He's not interesting enough to list 10 things about
Umm... 1.: You do realize that that little arrow shoes the side of the car where the fuel cap is right?
+Julien Xu He's talking about the rectangular window of the gas pump icon itself. which even kid knows is the picture of a gas pump and not a level indicator.
you cant read the oercentage on a fuel guage....only in America lol
But would you switch for a 2016 7 series ?
Hey man for this top 10 list it just seems that you can't really find anything to say about the car and starts to pick on memory and volume buttons and stuff...
nice talking
...and u have big right
@Big Boss This is his idea of the video.
The rectangle indicates on which side the fuel filler cap is. And I am sure you can display the range left in your ''trip computer''.
+fesch198 he was talking about the black rectangle in the fuel pump not the triangle
+Andrei Gabi
My bad, I got those mixed up. The rectangle is just a graphical element which repesents the display of the fuel pump..
the triangle near the top of the fuel icon indicates which side the fuel door is on... the reason you have to hold the button for the seat is a safety feature so that if there is anything under the seat, behind the seat or perhaps a woman's dress is caught, then it would be a matter of just letting go of the button instead of in a panic trying to cancel the seat movement
1-Rectangle is showing the side of intake in case you forget it in gas station
2- the buttons need to be pushed for a bit of time its a safety future
What if during drive you hit it once and that can be dangerous
3 - 30 sec Bluetooth is a bit slow but you cant hate a car for this
4 - hands on steering is another safety future another way you end up like that tesla driver
All this systems are prototype
5 - its a very expensive car i agree the reason for is over engineering and so much quality control on each car
6 - its a car for transporting vip people all over the world so much sound signature is not convenient for it .
At last I'm not a fan of this car i love he's videos but this one i think not as good as much
Awesome comment. My thoughts as well
Also (regarding the seats), imagine being fairly tall and clicking the wrong button just to find your knees being pressed against the dashboard.
Did you lease it or buy it? And how much per month? Also why didn't you choose the newer 7 series that came out?
Well no shit, People who want to hear the exhaust buy the AMG. You are driving a 60 year old grandpas car, what do you expect!!? A fucking straight pipe???
right man. in a Luxury saloon you do not want to hear anyrhing exept the music you are Listening. Else Go für a tuner like AMG Brabus etc.
On my W211 If you press it with the door open it automatically adjusts the steering wheel and seat to the desired position.
Also, did you opt for the heated steering wheel? That's my favorite about mine!
Some 'good' 'bad points, but if I had an S Class and I could hear the engine, I'd take it back. Want noise, get the AMG.
+Clive Sinclair YES YES YES
Of all the full size sedans you have driven(S class, 7 series, A8 L, CT6, XJ, LS), which do you like the best? I honestly prefer the S-class, but all I also like the others as well. I am considering a full size sedan. Which one do you recommend?
Is you license plate really RUclips?
Does the self driving feature work in places with bad lane markings or no lane markings at all? In Philadelphia, we have a lot of roads with faded lines or no lines at all
14 mpg?!?!?! For someone who is known for reviewing cars, Did you not know that before your drove off the lot? 😒😠
The fuel thing is stupid... % is always easier than fraction. Plus that little arrow is the side you fuel up from; its in every car.
+Andrew Loo Its not about the arrow, its about the "tank" in the image being 75% full.
Hey VV, why did you buy an S class instead of an E or C?
If this is all he thinks is bad, then Mercedes-Benz made the best car ever.
Nice review. What are your thoughts on the seat ventilation/cooling feature in the fron seats? My 2015 S550 seems like it has a hard time with the cooling.
A fucking S-class should be quiet! If you want a nice exhaust note than by the S63 for gods sake!
What are those black squares in the grille at 1:30? I know the last few S Class generations had those including this one
+jonzxcv Yes they don't look good.
that's for the sensors and cameras for the safety equipment and the automatic distance keeping cruise control
The combined highway/city gas mileage average is a figure prominently displayed on the window sticker of all new cars on a dealer lot. How can you complain about low mpg when that was information available to you prior to purchase? WTF is wrong with people?
Do you have the burmester speakers on this S550 because they sound amazing
#Firstworld problems...
How expensive are the maintenance costs?
Hard to sympathise with this guy. Having my own mercedes (E250 2013) I could also state some stuff that im not fond of but its a luxury car and the way they drive and the comfort, you forget them immediately.
He labels the video '10 things i HATE' about his 100k+ car and you expect people to be like 'oh yh you shouldnt have to suffer from no rear seat warmers'
Come on, label it '10 annoying things about s550' and its understandable but to say you cant hear the exhaust on this luxury car designed for effortless cruising justifies some hate.
Have heard that about remote start other places as well, but my Norwegian registered 2016 Volvo XC90 has remote start via the OnCall app. Also, was remote parking warmer an option? If so, that is a much better feature than remote start, since those systems use less fuel :)
+Riisfalch Cars Really? I dont have it in my 2015 XC70. I have VOC but theres no option for remote start.
Kristoffer Lilja Yes, I really have it.Check out my OnCall app video on my channel :)
Riisfalch Cars do you know if its something you can get enabled somehow?
Kristoffer Lilja Sorry, but I have no idea if that's possbile :(
Riisfalch Cars What engine do you have? Its possible that its deactvated if you have a parkingheater.
Some things I hate about my car
1. Breaks are squeaky in reverse only!
2. Backseat is pretty useless (all my bitches can't get in)
3. Scratched some paint off the bumper on the ground
4. Steering wheel bezel is chipping
5. Front bumper isn't aggressive
6. Leather on my seat looks deformed
BUT I FREAKING LOVE MY CAR
it's a freaking G35!!!
+DarTro *G37
+TheGamingNetwork G37 coupe
+Wpythons yeah, your car looks badass though
VQ for life
Hi - the seat memory hold down is a safety feature - say for example that you're a shorter person with seat memory position/button '1', and you have a 6'3" spouse who is assigned seat memory. '2'... then, if you hit '2' by accident while doing 120mph on the autobahn.... well you get the picture!
Anybody getting playback error?
YESS, every RUclips video that just gets uploaded does this to me
+Daishawn Maingot
upgrade your video player, That may help.
what do you do for a living ?
the memory seat is a safety feature so you don't move away from paddles by mistake
The S550 just doesnt suit him.
Maybe the memory buttons that you have to hold are for safety? To stop the driver breaking the passengers legs?
@mercedesbenz, 2.25 why dont you change that for the new model? would be really much more convenient
To warm the car up before you start driving is total bullshit and in germany that isn't allowed for a reason, it would be a good idea to order a pre-heater.
14.1 average gas milage , is this a petrol or a diesel Merc ?
If you want to be happier with your car, then don't buy one designed specifically for senior citizens.
+darkpill ^^^
Actually there is a reason for the button, with the seats. That needs to
be pressed all the way to reach the memory position.
Think if you are driving your car and mistakely hit(click) the button.
And the seats will start to move to the position. Would it be good?
The arrow shows where the gas opening is. If you look at a fuel pump with next to it even bigger *40%* and you still get confused, then the problem lies with you.
What kind of car(s) does Eddy have?
The reason that you have to hold number one instead of pressing the button is so you can stop half way through in case you realize there (for example) is something behind your chair that you will hit.
Olle Dahl I'm sorry that's a crap excuse, no one should have to hold down the button of the memory seat to get your memorised setting.
Why did you choose the S550 over a Tesla Model S or Model X?
Dude, you know that you could've just ordered remote heating? It doen't even require remote start, you just set the timer and your car is warm before you enter in the morning. Or just set it with the remote whenever needed..
Just in contrast :
I drive a BMW e38 7-series as a daily driver. It's now exactly 20 years old, but it's in a good condition, not flawless of course, but nearly. I have a basic lcd-screen, telling me all i need to know about
the car, the mileage, the miles to go with the fuel i have, the temperature, and a few other things... it's basic, but i get my info in the blink of an eye.
Eddie with a wig lmaooo
How long have you had your RUclips channel?
good video, but it also seems that most of these are very minor point, nothing major.
how did you get that numberplate?
