  • I try to find out how efficiently this chinese SUV with british heritage can be driven. As usual, I also give you lots of tips and tricks how to save energy and still be quick on the road.

Fully agree, not braking is the best choice for better milage.
I would say regen is only necessary in city driving where braking cannot be either avoided or difficult to foresee.
I would set regen to max on city and none in open roads

Excellent drive. I like the car. I agree about the braking. Thermodynamics 101 - you get less than half the energy expended back through regenerative braking. Energy is like money. If you don't spend it in the first place you don't have to save it.

I’m trying to figure out if I will buy the eniro or the or the MG Marvel R here in Sweden (charges at 95 max with flat curve)?
Let’s say that I will be traveling 600-700km which car will do it easier and when is one better than the other .
Are there some with experience regarding the difference between maintenance between these cars?
Either I’ll buy an eniro 2020/21 that have gone 50000km for around 27500usd or a marvel r lux for 34900usd that has only 7000km on it.
What do you think? Which one would decrease the least in value within around 5-7 years in your opinion?

Hi! Thanks for the video. Why are you using regen level 1 instead of level 3?

Hi, thanks. As explained in the video the most efficient way of driving is to brake as little as possible (even with an EV, which regenerates, as you never get back what you have invested). With higher regen set the car is braking too much (as soon as you lift the gaspedal a bit). Regen 1 instead of 3 doesn't mean that I do not regen when I brake the car with the pedals, it just brakes less on its own and I can coast much more, which is the most efficient way of driving an EV. The new Mégane e-tech even tells the driver in the Eco-Help-Screen to avoid braking as this - overall - increases the amount of energy used. I did a whole series about this, here is one of the videos with the Mercedes EQA.

Hi, I really enjoyed this video because I am looking for information on the efficiency of the MG Marvel R AWD.
I would like it to be my future purchase, but there are two data that I don't like very much for the car theology:
    1 - Boot capacity (357 l)
    2 - Autonomy (370 Km)
I currently have a Kona with 64 Kwh of battery, and I can see from your graph that it is still one of the most efficient EVs.
Switching to the Marvel R AWD therefore makes me a little uncertain, as it would greatly worsen my travel range.
Based on your experience, do you think the Marvel R AWD's consumption is acceptable?
Do you think they can be improved with future software updates?
    Thanks in advance.

      Hey ! I am like you ! I have a ioniq 28 and I think I will buy this Marvel R...
The Mg is not as efficient as the ioniq of course, but I 've drove the Marvel during 1,5 days and my consumption was 15,2kwh/100 (229 kms trip, with mostly 90km/h roads, and few 110km/h)
Sorry for my poor English vocabulary : I am from France) ☺️

İf compare this car with Tesla, it doesn't good more than 2017 or 2018 Tesla 75D for performance and range, economy, safe etc..... otherwise this car is 2022 🙂
