In this video I discuss how the fans of Chuck E Cheese were able to stop the company from destroying all their animatronics for the 2.0 remodel, and instead preserve them at a few locations.

Still can’t believe that they think that people like there LED doormats more than the legendary animatronics

they don't even kids don't like them corporate only put them there as an excuse to remove them

Honestly, revamping the animatronics would probably be a lot better than removing them entirely.

I mean, I could “kinda” see where they CEC was coming, getting with the times and all that. But during the time that they where beginning the remodels, alot more people (Especially kids mind you) gained an interest in animatronics thanks to Fnaf. And that whole “Side show” crap was a bunch of bs anyway. In many videos leading up to current day, you still see many kids going up and watching the shows. And yes I think CEC needs to get there head outta there ass and revamp the animatronics

Chuckhead here. This is an amazing video documenting the new retro venues. Though I’d like to share some stuff apart of our side of the story:
    1. The montage of California locations that got 2.0 in late 2023-early 2024 we call the “California purge”
    2. When Nanuet was announced, everyone was INSANELY upset. This was a location nobody asked to be saved and the others seemed like they weren’t gonna have bright futures. Recently a lot of people like myself got tired of this hate so now it’s semi balanced, but still a significant event for the fandom.
    3. The preservation of Charolette, Hicksville, and Springfield was not just us protesting, but by raiding venue’s phone lines, harassing employees and getting the number OF THE DAMN CEO. What a great community.
    4. Every time a location got 2.0’d the fandom would be very upset so you basically nailed that point. Even when hope was lost we were pretty sad.
So yeah still a great video but just wanted to mention some stuff.

Also I found out you’re another CEC fan so I’m sorry if I sounded so harsh. We’re not all bad, there’s some great talented people and entertaining history sources. Kinda just wanted to cover the bad side of this community since it’s the one that did these things. Have a great day!

Us Chuckheads are kinda crazy, lol. I remember the initial reaction when Nanuet was saved, because we were told “no other locations will be saved”.
Also I purposely didn’t cover the harassment some people did towards CEC employees because that’s not a representation of the fandom, overall, but instead a few people who took things way too far

They should go all in with horror. Now that kids are all attached to devices and don’t want to go out, and the people who used to enjoy chuck e cheese are grown up now, a FNAF-like experience with the bots would honestly be awesome.

    • @cfruge444
      @cfruge444 2 месяца назад +1

Given the Five Nights of Fun controversy and that there's already a FNAF Chuck E. Cheese clone, I couldn't see that happening.
*Though, given the promotional poster, Rockstar animatronics in their Halloween costumes would be pretty fuckin' awesome.*

One of my friends decided to pick Chuck E. Cheese for his 19th birthday party, mainly for nostalgic vibes and just to chill and hang out. We were all shocked when we showed up to the location and realized it was remodeled and looked nothing like how it used to when we were younger. It genuinely hurt to see such an iconic and memorable piece of the stores missing and being replaced by a stupid light up dance pad. I understand that things have to change overtime to maintain relevance but they didn't have to do it this way. I mean when I think of Chuck E. Cheese I instantly think of the animatronics, that's how memorable they are to the franchise.

I’m a big massive Chuck E Cheese fan and I grew up coming to Chuck E Cheese my entire life since I was born in 1998 and I’m happy they are saving the animatronics at five different locations but as a employee of the company I can respect the fact that our company chooses to look at what kids are interested in today and sadly animatronics aren’t one of them and I’m a mascot performer for the company and I can say I have no problem with 2.0 and I have fun dancing on the dance floor and get kids coming up all the time dancing with me they are into the dance floor now and I also own a lot of Chuck E Cheese stuff from over the years and even have the big giant token up in my room

I think it's important to mention that Logan Carreiro was the first to act against 2.0. He fought to save our local store's stage, but instead, they saved Northridge California due to its popularity. The tech at our location also didn't want to keep them. They said it was too much work to keep them in good condition. Corporate also flew Logan out to California to attend the grand reopening, and they officially named him the Chief Animatronics Officer.

The fact CEC thought it was a great idea to delete what made CEC, Chuck E Cheese. The animatronics are a vital part of Chuck E cheese without them, CEC is just another generic Pizza place with nothing unique about them. I grew up with Chuck E since 1999 and been a Chuckhead since.

Needless to say I was baffled. 2.0 is genuinely one if not THE worst decision this company has made. This company is mindlessly destroying all of it’s important pieces of history like for example, I heard the original pizza time theater bots from the first location, (Jasper and Pasqually to be exact) were thrown out because they got a little wet. And removing stages with historic significance of the company like the rocker stage and stages Brian hagan worked on (and just the overall vibe of the place is so dull and generic, just seeing footage from from the pizza time theater era to the studio C era shows the place was so much more unique. 2.0 stripped away it’s identity entirely. The place legit looks like a warehouse that so happens to have working video games inside without the iconic decorations like the parody posters / avenger era art and without the stages. I mean the “art” is just plastered 3D models on frames and called it a day.. How lazy :/ Pineville is honestly how I want all Chuck E. Cheese’s to look like. The full band, good maintenance, old decor.. And I’ve never seen the full band for myself because of financial issues that didn’t get resolved until like 2 years ago and I’ve been a chuck head for 7 years now I would visit this store in a heartbeat, basically my dream 😂
