Allen Millyard doesn't need a computer with CAD. His mind is operating CAD. in his head, mixed with aesthetic Beauty of design in engineering. Art
No drawings, no CAD, Just visions in his minds eye. Unless you've witnessed it you wouldn't believe it. Genius, legend, all fitting accolades for a brilliantly talented and nice man.

Henry Cole seems to be able to find very special talented people to work with him on his tv shows. Some of the most entertaining and informative programs on the box.

I was recommended his video's by you tube one evening, i had planned getting an early night as i was totally knackered. 2. 45am next day i thought " WTF has just happened!!" This guy is a genius, i am still having trouble taking this in!
Would love to see a TV documentary or series with Allen and Henry travelling around the world visiting other likeminded garden shed engineers and their creations.
Shed TV is a great thing. I love backstreet creators of any craft.

Yes and he comes across as being such a modest person! (I hope he has registered loads of patents to his designs and at least gets some income from them!) evidently his wife is supposed to be an excellent cook, so how lucky is he ? 😊
If you watch his you tube stuff his wife often makes a cameo appearance, normally in the kitchen baking cakes which Allan often steals lol
I love Milly, I'm not even a biker but he's just brill.

I remember visiting Allen back in 07 or 08, to chat mountain bikes. I asked what was under the blanket in the garage.. “a Dodge Viper engine, I’m going to make a bike with it” - I was like.. ok then ! A softly spoken genius no doubt.
Allen is my all time favorite builder of anything car or motorcycle...what a legend

Anyone would run out of superlatives for this man. Such a genius ( a word that’s been used often here, but have to agree) and incredibly humble. You get goose bumps just watching and listening.

Used to follow him to work regularly in the warmer weather when he worked as a ministry of defence engineer. His creations blew my mind and had me hooked on 2 stroke engines
Mustn't forget Allen's stunning mountain bike designs. I'd love to see a Millyard designed electric assisted mountain bike. That would be something to behold.

I want to smother Alan in love and praise and admiration and everything. He's found fame in Henry's shows and has earned buckets of admiration for creativity, engineering and humility. We are so blessed to se one man who DESERVES it all. (That's as well as Henry of course. How can you not love Henry to bits. )
Met Allen a couple of times at different shows, always a gentleman, always happy to chat. Filmed him starting some of those bikes at the National Motorcycle Museum open day where weirdly there was a guy walking around looking just like you....... it wasn't you because you were signing copies of your book inside.
The man should get a knighthood, nice to see Allen on the Bike show with Henry all the time now.
They live round the corner from each other so I can only imagine they've been in and out of each other's sheds* for years.

Good old Henry has the knack of surrounding himself with talented people all of which are clever but humble nice down to earth people.

He is an engineer in true sense. The man who had managed to absorb all the engineering concepts of his craft. Fabulous. Most of all, he used to be the Defense dept. Engineer, that speaks a lot about the man himself.
Can we have the full motor bike series Henry as there’s nobody on RUclips that actually has the all and no other formats have them 🙏👍

Coles a great entertainer and presenter,Millyards a genius. He's done so many builds, rebuilds and modifications. For me a little thing he did with the Viper bike just epitomises his talent. Not the enormous engine, not the quirky 'backfire' button but the ' centre stand'. That stand was so clever, so thoughtful and makes that enormous machine that bit more usable and easy to run and live with. A small detail that makes such a difference
No drama. He just designs a bike in his head. Amazing craftsmanship.
If there was an apocalypse Allen Millyard would be my goto man he is a genius.

I was fortunate to meet Allen at Goodwood, where he gave up a lot of his time to speak to us about his flying Millyard. Allen is a truly lovely person, he is very understated in an overstated world.

Allen, along with Mike Patey are my two heros. They both are at the top of their respective games, one just has a slightly bigger shed than the other. One day I hope to meet them both, if only New Zealand wasn't so far away from almost everyone else. Thanks for your inspiration.
Patey is like Allen in so many ways. He's fun to watch because he knows how to use the computer aided tools to their fullest and simply creates new limits that others haven't even thought of. Allen does the same but in the old school fashion.

Just felt I had to comment about the Puch Maxi...... my dad gave me his old 1969 Puch Maxi when I was about 12 in the early 80s. I used to ride it up and down the garden and along farm tracks at a friend's house (dad used to take it there on a trailer for me). That Puch Maxi is probably the reason I've loved motorbikes all throughout my life!
Where I lived Puch Maxi’s were river dwellers.
His Mountain Bikes are a work of art as well.
