i believe going to university in south africa is part of the process embrace the journey is all part of the network u create and what you are built to become. If she can’t listened to her mum to go to school and south africa , the journey could have been diff, met a singing coach at school, learning how to produce in SA in pursuit of education.

Tems is of cause talented and most of all she is intelligent and well articulated person, which are imperative to stay healthy, successful and role model to all the Young BLACk Children.
Even if your next job or career are differents from your degree, one NEEDS KNOWLEDGE and good COMMUNICATION SKILL to CONTROL, CHOOSE, NEGOTIATE and Make the right DECISIONS in one OWN INTEREST.
Eg: all these Black talented Artists, Sportives, Creators, Inventors... who have been taken advantage of and lost everything ended up in misery (how many record company owners, Agents, Sport Club Owners, CEO... can't write, sing, play sport, wear the latest sneakers, huge diamond necklaces...)

Asian children are pushing to highest education like Jews before then, Whites, Indians, Latinos.
Black children can choose any career they want to achieve, but they MUST first acquire an EDUCATION and KNOWLEDGE
