- A New Personal Best. NASA Utah - Round 3 - Session 1 Saturday Morning. I ran a 2:09, 2:08 and 2:08. My previous best on Outer was 2:08.75 the year before. This was on three day old tires (they had eight heat-cycles on them - freshly pancaked).
Talking with my buddy Guy on Friday, he suggested flying faster through Tooele Turn. I've never gone quite so fully on the Gators! He also suggested what I sometimes do through Clubhouse Turn - go over the rumbles...
I'm in a 2006 Mustang GT with every #steeda suspension part I can fit on it. Running a set of Z214 #hankooktire
Managed a 2:08.315 for my PB followed by a 2:08.47. Technically I went four off exiting Clubhouse - all four tires beyond the candy-stripe rumbles on that last lap. Distance traveled is longer, so penalty? Could actually be a DQ or at least not count that lap.
Now for a set of fresh tires and the chance to drive Outer again...

I really liked the Honda Civic that was in the first lap. I bet it too is a blast to drive.
