- Stopped by this empty, overgrown lot and decided to mow it down using my Toro Multiforce. It's been like this all year, and nobody seemed to want to mow it down. I initially walked the property to remove any visible objects that could damage my machine. I thought I got them all, but I still ended up hitting a lot of objects (mainly rocks), completely destroying my blades. It's ok though, I have another pair.
I'm just surprised my mower made it out alive after hitting so many things. I thought it broke down there at the end, but I just ran out of gas. I also found a random machete the log. Reminded me of boy Arthur and the sword in the stone!

I used to mow grass at this Experimental Aircraft Association club site in Santa Rosa, CA. About 7 acres riding around on a John Deere 6' wide flail type mower. Lots of bouncing around. Satisfying somehow.
Every once in a while I'd rake the furrows of cut grass.
Was a member of the club for 35 years.
The neighborhood: “YAY!!”
The deer: “Oh man…”
Fill: “Thanks for watching!”
Instead of a scary overgrown lot it now looks like a good place for some kids to play ball

Good morning. You just opened up a great feeding ground for every bird out there. The hawks and owls will keep the vermin down as well as a place rabbits can feed and watch the sky at the same time. Great job!
That was a big difference. With all the grass and weeds gone you can see the lay of the land. I spotted where the deer were bedding down right away. A few years ago they would come in at night and bed down in our watermelon patch. The plants were flat the next morning. Your hard work has made a big difference in the neighborhood. Love seeing where the deer bed down. Field behind our house used to stay very overgrown n me n my pup would go explore there n see the tall grass basically wheat padded down in large areas. Saw deer there before too. Now they grow crops n do crop rotation so no more deer. 😕 Instead, ummm, coyotes! 😮

When you went through your introduction about this property I thought; piece of cake, but as I watched I saw all of the issues you faced and that you had to walk all around the property to make sure there wasn't anything harmful under all of that weeds/grass. It wasn't a piece of cake, it was just as hard as other overgrown house lawns. But you did an awesome job like always and it was a pleasure to see the before and after pictures. It looks great!
I, too, drive by overgrown properties and think someone needs to cut that down. Unfortunately I don't have a machine like you do. Beautifully done ❤😊

That traffic cone you picked up is 15-20 bucks each at the big box stores. Still looks pretty good- so don't trash it. Keep it or donate it. Surprising how much a hunk of plastic is.
