Michel Polnareff - "Wake up, it's a lovely day" from "Les 3 Mousquetaires" UK soundtrack

- In 1973-1974, Michel Polnareff wrote the incidental music for the John Halas cartoon "Les trois mousquetaires". The soundtrack also included two song with vocals : "Et hop on va tout changer" and "Pour vivre en liberté". The vocalists on these two songs were not credited in the film or on the record, but Polnareff had premiered "Et hop on va tout changer" when he sang it live during the premiere of the "Polnarêve" show in Paris on 22 March 1973.
For the British market, these two songs were re-recorded with English lyrics, respectively as "Wake up, it's a brand new day" and "Freedom and liberty". Here is the first of the two.

Oh. My. God. I woke up singing this to myself again. No recollection of ever seeing the cartoon. It was made 2 years before I was born, so I must have seen it somewhen. I have been singing this to myself for as long as I can remember. I googled it just to make sure I hadn't come up with a stupidly catchy hit song as a child, and here I am. Also, all I ever remembered was the first 4 lines, so the verse type bits were a real kick. Maybe I can now put this four decade earworm to rest.
I cannot thank you enough for uploading this song. I haven't heard this song in over 30 years but for as nearly as long I've been searching for it. Thank you so, so much. I have a piece of my childhood back :))))

WOW! I have had this song kicking around my head, ever since I saw this cartoon once, as a kid, during a holiday, and liked it.
I had started to think over the years that I had imagined it, because I'd never seen it anywhere, or run into anyone else who had heard of it.

You have restored my childhood
Thank you so much. My children were watching this movie way back when. Half way through I began to really like this song, but at that point they only played snippits of it. I tried to write down as much as I could, finally lost what I wrote. Recently I have needed a positive, happy song to help me emotionally. I found this an listen to it frequently, and sing it to start my day. Thank you.
