I investigated a fire for a property that is owned by Kix Brooks, He came from his personal home to say thank you to all the firefighters. He was so giving and humble. The firefighters where well taken care of by him not just a Thank you.
They were one of the first country bands I liked. I couldn’t believe how rock n roll they are. Great memories come up when I hear your music. Thank you so much
I’ve really enjoyed these interviews, Joe. These stories and music history are such a gift to the world and you are just the man to give that gift. Your laid back style is so personal and friendly and makes these interviews different than any other that I see. Thank you for what you’re doing.
Two genuine guys. I absolutely love them. I've done some singing competitions, It's a blast. My go to money song was "Boot Scootin' Boogie". Won close to $7,500 in 26 months. Never played an instrument, kinda wish I had picked it up when I was younger. Not a bad part time gig for a guy from the trucking industry. Still listen to all their music everyday! To Kix and Ronnie: THANK YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL MUSIC AND MEMORIES.
I had never seen this, it's great. I've listened to Kix do a phone interview, interviewing Merle, and liked his personality ever since. Glad yall are friends and nice to hear his appreciation for your hard work
I went and saw Brooks and Dunn once in Bristol VA which is a big outdoor place and my friend and I were in the front row and when Kicks came over near us this girl near us flashed kicks.
Man.... These interviews let us viewers in so much interesting stories and facts of these great Musicians. I dont even listen to country music, ive never even heard of Kix Brooks before in my life. But just knowing their music career stories its so much fun and inspiring. Thank You for your Interviews Joe. hugs from Brazil !!!
I feel the same! Not much of a country enthusiast (I thought Brooks and Done made suits) but I don't miss even one of joe's videos. God bless JC... Joe Chambers!
Hearing these great stories from these really nice guys was so much fun. Thank you very much for posting, I'm not country music's biggest fan but I absolutely worship Brooks & Dunn.
I Love the Musicians Hall of Fame! Joe Thank You for putting this all together and keeping music history alive and bringing that history to not only us, but future musicians and music lovers! You strike me as a good man, id like to have a beer with!
Oh Boy, nice interview. Got a little peek into Joe’s career too. I really loved the connection between you two. Like Brothers. Joe, I surely hope you don’t get tired of hearing me say “Great Interview “ but it’s true.
@@MusiciansHallofFameMuseumI’m glad to know you 2 are friends!! You 2 look like, y’all are PERFECT for each other!!!😆😆😆 He’s original from, where I’m from Louisiana.
Two of my favorite songs are Neon Moon and Lost and Found. My favorite group of all time---Brooks and Dunn! I was supposed to see them in Vegas as a birthday gift from my daughters, but Covid cancelled it. So sad.
@@MusiciansHallofFameMuseum Hi Joe! You don’t remember I’m sure, but you gave me a personal tour at the old location when MHOF was about to open. I talked with you at the new location about a couple of years ago. All the best! Hope to see you again soon!
Another great interview Joe. I can tell that you two are great buds from way back. He's another one of the famous guys who doesn't let fame get to him and honestly can't believe that it has all happened. Thanks for doing these interviews.
Joe I have to say that I'm not a country music fan, although it is a huge part of music historically and what you and your staff have done to preserve, document and as a memorial is to be commended. This interview with Mr. Brooks was great, obviously you are longtime friends but he and all the others love what you made happen and their honored to be a part of the experience. They're not plugging anything, nor is it a press junket. Another excellent show Mr. Chambers.
Waaaay back in the day, the AAA Iowa Cubs had a 1st Baseman named Brooks Kieschnick. A visiting batter named Dunn hit a single and our Color guy said "looks like Brooks and Dunn down at first base!" I keyed into the play by play guys ear and said " are they doing the "Bat Scootin' Boogie?" Crickets. PXP wasnt a country fan, had no idea what i was talking about.
Good interview Joe! Kix reminds me a lot of the guys I’ve played the dives with over the years. I’m glad it paid off for him. Sounds like he’s smart with the money too!
I heared the 80s Ronnie Dunn single songs and the 1989 album of kix brooks and then i compared to the 1991 brand new man album of brooks and dunn its much diferent and better style when Ronnie and Kix combine their writing songs and their music, it was a good idea to them being a duo they complemented from each other.
hi Joe!thank you so much for all the bios....i looove people who have accomplished all that stuff, and it's positively inspiring to hear wonderful stories of "how it came to be"....thanks again!!!!!all genres.!!!!do you have a ronnie dunn interview?
Don’t have Ronnie’s yet…. We’ve been friends for a long time…. before they got famous but not as close as Kix. I will as soon as I get a chance. They are completely different people so it would be interesting for sure…..Best, Joe
What was the name of your music shop Joe? I remember as an aspiring songwriter, working as a waiter at Brentwood O’Charley’s, in about 1993, bugging poor Kix to listen to my stuff as he was trying to have a lunch date. I was notorious until I found a publisher! Gosh, Kix is such a nice guy! You too.
Any of yall read the story of how they met as written on their first album? I remember something about one of them hitchhiking down a dusty road and the other one picked him up? Lol
Partners Brothers and Friends was a fantastic piece of work. the songs were not hard either. I learned damn near the entire album as far a Rhythm guitar and more guitar goes. Played them in the bars.
