You must be new to country music. Because George Jones and his nasally singing is the worst singer country music has ever immortalized, Plug you nose and try to sing and you've got this bozo. Hank Sr & Jr are better. Waylon. Chris, Johnny. Merle. Buck. Marty. Alan. Garth. Clint Black. Plus Lorenzo down the bloc are better singers than this bum. I hope you all know the people I listed are. But if you don't, it'd come as no surprise.

I met George and his wife, Nancy at the Austin Rodeo while selling my biography on the life of George Strait. Such a nice guy. I signed a copy for him and we talked music for 10 minutes. RIP Mr. Jones.
If he hadn’t lived the life he lived he wouldn’t have been able to express feelings in his music , I’m sure he had regrets but a lot of those regrets hit us in our feels. AWESOME ENTERTAINER
When I was planning my daddy’s funeral service I included “It’s Finally Friday” I buried my daddy on a Friday and that just happened to be the Friday his co-workers got paid. That “$100 smoking in his billfold” a pack of Marlboro reds and a six pack and some George Jones on the radio. Miss you so much, daddy!
His song He Stopped Loving Her Today always makes me think of my parents. They divorced after 25 years of marriage because of alcoholism. He never got over it, but his disease was too powerful. When my dad died, all of my siblings & I, along with our mom, stood around his bed as he took his last breath. After all the heartache, etc, they still loved each other, and thats what counted at that moment.
@@bethbartlett5692 I agree!! I watched another documentary of sorts on him awhile back that said George didn't like the song at first and didn't want to record it. I'm so happy that he did!
Yeah When George Jones Recorded He Stopped Loving Her Today, He Didn’t Want To Record It From The Get Because George Thought With It Being About A Death Of A Man That Loved His Ex-Wife Till The Day He Died!!! After Recording George Said On His Way Out Of The Recording Studio He Stated “Good Luck Selling This Gory Song “🎶 Little Did He Know It Would Be A Number One Hit ❣️❣️❣️🤷🏻♀️💯%😅🥹😳😎😜
King of country George jones one of the best country singers ever fact I've got a lot of is cd albums and a couple of dvds to love is country music songs don't make country like that anymore really enjoyed watching it interesting and very good to thanks again 👍

He lived Life FULLY. Some of you aren't Brave enough to Do it yourself. I get it. Only Some are Shining Stars and They tend to Burn out Quickly. George? They don't make em like they used to
A new George is coming folks. Just in Time to Save Music One More Time. Heart is making a comeback....Winners never Lose at all. Pride fell to the backstretch, Heartache going on in the Inside. History always repeats itself.
My momma loved George and she passed that love on to my sister and I. I remember when i was a little girl coming home in the car and a song came on the radio by him my momma sang the entire song when it was over she looked at me and said now that is one man I’d leave your daddy for, scared me to death. I didn’t sleep for days i thought he was gonna sweep in and take my momma away. Years later i told my momma that and she got so upset that she worried me like that, my parents were married 48 years before my father passed away and now my beautiful momma is gone too, together at last.
He lied a bit..he Got out of Hillcrest mental hospital from Birmingham AL..he made it 8 miles to a beer joint and his driver came in and bought a 1/2 case of cold beer..i know this to be a fact

From George Nemitz of Green Bay, Wisconsin, George Jones was one of a kind. I wish he was still alive. Rest in peace, George.
What a singer, never be any better , is there a George Jones museum?
Yes. Nashville

Voice for sure.
George never lost his voice. His tv duet with Randy Travis in later years is amazing.

I had the pleasure of seeing George Jones & Tammy Wynette together in concert in the 90's. They were fantastic.♥

That is a serious Country Song, that ranks up there with "Crazy" by Patsy Cline.

Bartender blues has got to be the most beautiful song ever. Rip George
Saw him 3 times state fair fl. Strawberry festival. And a bennifit and met Nancy and read all his books he is the very best
I love this man ❤
Waylon’s story about Possum’s drugs being stronger and having to tie him up is the most outlaw country thing that ever happened.
While he was tied up, George said to Waylon "You Conway Twitty actin sonofabitch". Waylon laughed at him lol
George Jones is probably one of the greatest Country singers of all times.
I know every word to every song that George Jones ever sang. He was wonderful in every way but he was a human with all of his faults but, people still love him undo to this day

There was magic when George and Tammy sang. He had a special spark when he looked at her. Although they had problems he never stopped loving her.

Saratoga my butt, he's from VIDOR & he is a RACIST, im sorry but its true. Every town in south east texas laid claim to him but VIDOR.😂
There's some truth to what you say. Vidor was so bad, blacks dare not even drive through it. Even today, the local Dairy Queen won't serve blacks!!!
@@AustinTeutsch-ow9sy you are a liar. I live close to vidor. Calm down with that garbage.
