I grew up listening to Conway but I never grew to appreciate him until in my fourties. What an awesome man, persona and voice ! ❤ Gone much too young !!
Conway was great. I loved hearing him and Loretta sing duets. They were it in the 70's. Loretta said that she broke down bad when Conway passed away. She said that Doolittle was in the hospital and she thought that Conway was coming to visit Doo but he was coming in as a patient. So sad.
My Mom and my aunt and uncles went to school with Conway in Helena Arkansas. They grew up with him and were close friends. I met him once when he flew in and stopped in to our town and in his private plane and we all met him there. I was young but will never forget it. I grew up listening to all of his music and have loved all of them. He was such a down to earth country guy. He was taken far too young. 😢
Has been on my playlist for some time, just watched, best country singer I've ever heard. Honored to have seen him in concert in Hampton, VA. I was pregnant when Conway passed away, never forget that day ... driving, announcement came on radio, I had to get off road I was bawling, my son was born 6 weeks early, I know his early birth was from the loss of Conway, hit so hard. Conway Twitty's Greatest Hits, every night walk with my son in stroller then dancing him to sleep with your music. ❤

I'm sad to say that I wasn't a good fan of Conway during his last 20 years, BUT, that I became a true fan of his before he passed away. You'll always be one of my favorite country/rock and roller singers. He should be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! Because he was worthy of that honor!
When he came to Providence along with George Jones who we went to see, we enjoyed Conway so much more than George. He was a tremendously talented entertainer. Thanks for this documentary of his life!!

Conway Twitty was my Mother's favorite singer right up until her death at 93. I was a fan in his rock years and also when he went country. I was fortunate to have attended Conway's performance at Houston's Western Club and several years later I ran into him late one night at a Waffle House Restaurant in Lebanon Tenn. . He was with a great looking blonde. Go Conway!
