Great video! I'm 52 and grew up mainly listening to rock n roll and old-school punk rock. My wife, who is 10 years younger, grew up listening to all the classic country, including Mr. Twitty. I've become a huge fan of classic country, and ESPECIALLY Conway and Loretta duets. Those two really had a special chemistry and never fails to give me goosebumps and/or a tear of joy while listening to them.

He had that distinct voice that everyone knew and loved… that was back when Country music was real Country music, not like most of what you hear today. Today’s country isn’t country… once in awhile you see an artist do pure country but nothing like it once was when I was growing up.

I loved to hear Conway sing. I got to go see him at Lanier Land in GA. in the late 80's. He did a beautiful job singing, but he didn't talk that much. Maybe he wasn't feeling well that night. My son was only 2 weeks old when Conway passed away. I seen Loretta Lynn in concert also, but not with Conway. That was in Hiawassee Tennessee in the early 80's. I would have loved to have seen a concert with them together. It's a shame Twitty City isn't still opened. Thank you for sharing this video with us. Oh and one more thing.... seems like one of the Memphis Mafia said that Elvis wanted to sing the song, " It's Only Make Believe " , but the Colonel wanted to make a deal and some how it didn't work out. Seems like I heard that said when I watched all the kings men, but I can't quite remember. 🤔🤪😁😉❤🤩

He never sounded like Elvis to me. He was my favorite. It’s only Make Believe is still my favorite song of all times. I graduated from high school in 1963 so he must have recorded that song at that time

Check out Lonely Blue Boy from 1960. It was supposed to be in the Elvis movie King Creole but was cut from film so Conway recorded it in 1960. If you haven't heard that song you will like it. Conway had some great rock songs. Thanks Kathryn for comment Happy Thanksgiving 😎😎

I can tell you a little bit more about the mansion. The living Spaces are on the first floor and the bedrooms are upstairs. There’s kind of like a little Den where there’s a very large coffee table purchased from John Wayne and the legs are quite large and shaped like a horses head with the main and partial chest. The horses are golden. The kitchen is not tiny, I would say it’s moderate size with lots of cabinets and countertops and a window that looks out into the front yard, the dining room is actually the first room on the right after a person enters the front door and to the left is a room that appeared to me to be a comfortable office. Both the office and dining room have windows that look out across the front yard. The actual living room area is straight back toward the back of the house and that front entrance hallway goes directly to the back living room area. From that living area a person gets to the other areas of the house including the stairs on the left and kitchen and Den to the right. That living room area has windows looking out over the backyard and a field further out from that. I think the field has been turned into the parking lot a few years ago. In the front yard there’s a stream running through the yard and it has a bridge going across it in the shape of an arch rather than flat. I sang gospel songs there with a few other people on that bridge one Sunday afternoon while one of the pastors from the Trinity Broadcasting church (located in the theater across the street) baptized people in the water. It was quite deep. It has multicolored lights that come on during the night which shine into the waterfall flowing off of the rocks into the water below. There’s also multiple concrete walking areas surrounding the waterfall and enter twined with flowerbeds. Multiple small trees scattered throughout the yard which may be considered moderate size trees to some people. Also in the gift shop there’s a door at the back of its shopping area that opens and allows people into the yard/front yard of the mansion. It’s like opening a door and walking directly into a beautiful lit up winter wonderland at Christmas, lights everywhere. As far as the other buildings on the property, there’s a large recording studio, a huge theater for concerts, broadway type plays and large attendance church services and worship events. On the side of the street where the gift store is there’s also a small theater for viewing videos but it’s set up so that when a person sits in a chair if there’s an earthquake scene the chair makes him or her feel as if he or she is actually experiencing the earthquake. It also has a particular type of surround-sound that makes you feel as if you’re walking through the woods and hearing the small branches cracking and breaking under your feet or the sound of dried leaves crunching under your feet etc. there’s also a huge building that has various displays with some animation in each one or beautiful colored scenes and it’s dark in the building and those scenes kind of have a Fluorescent light appearance in some instances. One scene is a Santa Claus kneeling at the foot of a manger with a baby in it and it reminds us that the Bible says every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord…even Santa Claus knows who Jesus is😊❤. Use to be some sidewalk chairs and a small table or two and there was a small bistro where a person could walk up to the window and get something to eat or drink, not a huge selection of food and drink but a few unique things. There’s another building that house is a very long road it’s a replica of the via Delarosa in Israel and it’s made of rocks and there are tiny replications of sidewalk businesses set up throughout it until you get to an area where there’s a huge scene of the Hill of Golgotha with the crucifixion and there’s thunder and lightning surrounding it…Remember it was once named Twitty City…And it truly is a little city. I hope this description isn’t confusing and perhaps you can get a mind picture similar to what it actually was.

OMG Conway was such a huge hit for my family, my sister had a record "yes a record made of vinal acetate!" that was his greatest hits, wore that thing out to9o lol. my favorite songs that i try to do karaoke with are, image of me, after the fire is gone, somebody's needin' somebody, that moon song don't know a thing about love, and next in line. I'd love to make a album of those songs too but copyright would probably come after me if I did. I know every song or just about there of anyway too. someone needs to get a list of those songs that have gone out of copyright. i really do want to know what Onces have gone pd if any.
