I initially had the black stock exhausts but they were just too quiet. The short shots are far too loud for me, children cover their ears as you ride by them with short shots. The 3inch slip ons are a good compromise. Sound so much better than stock without upsetting your neighbours. The akrapovic slip ons also have a very nice sound. A bit more subtle than the Vance and Hines slip ons.

hi, did you install the slipons yourself? are they ons a perfect fit on the header pipes or you need to use gaskets? having some troubles installing mine... cheers!
My son in laws bike with the short shots has a fuel pak but mine with the quiet baffles hasn't got a fuel pak and it runs very well without it. I haven't changed the air cleaner on it, it's running the stock one. If I decide to change that in the future I will probably need the fuel pak.
+Justin Franklin does the fuel pak help a lot, or just a little? I've got the slip ons and a high-flow air cleaner and I'm having decel pops and throttle isn't smooth
Your engine ran lean for good amount of years.... how is it performing now Justin..... fuel pak and air filter upgrade along with spark cables is must.

Slipons sounds good, but Short shots sounds slightly louder, more deeper and natural. I have Short shots on my Custom 1200.
Did you use the 1.5 inch or the 2.5 inch baffles? I see them both in the market and don’t know which one does what and which one is better.
