It sounds & looks strange, but when I actually tried it, it was a surprisingly great addition to the sandwich. The Muslim sauce is sweet anyway, so the addition of raisins enhances the flavor.

It just ruins it for me. II cant be close minded cuz I actually tried all that stuff and I feel diabetic right after. North Americans have also become accustomed to drenching sugary shit on their foods.

I've been looking for this Muslim Fish Hoagie for over 25 years. There was a spot in West Philly that made this & would send them up to Graterford for the Eid feast. Mr. Muhammad started this many many years ago. Soo good.

There was a restaurant called "Mr. Muhammad's" in Detroit that served a scrumptious fish hoagie called "The Seaboat." Sadly, there are no more Muslim restaurants or enterprises in the City of Detroit where the NOI was founded.

Been eating Muslim fish and steaks since the 80’s. We grew up with the Steak n Take restaurants in south Jamaica Queens NY. I even know the the ingredients to the special sauce
