I could never wrap my head around why Garden of Bilals closed and remained closed. We used to go there after we closed the salon for the day. That trip was always worth it!

Thanks to my son for sharing this video with me. He's around the corner from Jamillah's. My husband and I have GOTTA head over there. My son said we gotta come "with an empty stomach and a full wallet" cause we are gonna want everything on the menu. Thanks, JL, for another great video.

I agree with you 100% about the sides when it comes to soul food spots. That's where most of them fail. Definitely gonna take a drive to Philly and give them a try.

The Garden of Bilal’s cornbread was so good. We would order 2 servings of cornbread before the meal came. The food was so good and plentiful. Bro Abu really took care of us. May Allah forgive him of any errors in life and grant him Jannah Ameen I’m going today In’shaa Allah

When I tell you that their food is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥, you better take notice. My family and I were visiting from Pittsburgh this past weekend,and made a trip to this establishment. My God!!! My God!! You definitely get what you pay for! Even though the line was a little long,we didn't mind at all. They came through and delivered for sure!!🙌🙌The food tasted incredibly fresh,it was seasoned just right,and it melted in your mouth. Listen up people, check this spot out if you're in Philly. Jamilah’s Garden souls food is scrumptious. The first time I went driving from New Jersey on a Saturday afternoon the line was 11/2 hour long. We left and tried again on a Wednesday morning during opening. That was the perfect time to placed our order. Wait time was around 35 minutes. I purchased the fish platter with macaroni and cheese, collard greens, and jams. Also, I ordered a beef rib sandwich. My son had he barbecued fried chicken platter. All platter’s came with a large piece of cornbread. I enjoyed he food and it was worth the trip. Planning on going back soon. The best Soul food on the planet ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

I drove to Jamillah’s Garden based on Jupiter’s review. I was a little skeptical because we all know he has failed us a time or 2….but this place he was on point! He set the tone and expectation for no dine in option to the “you not getting my cornbread’😂 I tried everything on menu including the turkey wings and was not disappointed. ☹️ I listened to the customers coming in and no one complained about anything not even the wait time. The staff was patient and there wasn’t any chaotic noise from the kitchen. Well worth the wait and drive.
You know that first plate was hittin my boy had to look for a spoon and took 7 bites in a row😂😂

JL, I am originally from Philly and I always watch your videos about Philly eateries. Over the holidays, I was anxious to try Jamillah's. My family and I spent over $80 and the food was not worth it at all. The greens had no flavor and the ribs were tough. I did like the Mac and cheese and the cornbread was excellent. They were disappointed to say the least. I'll still give your recommended restaurants a try when I'm back in town. Thanks for all you do!!!
