Eurodance is pure positivity, which is basically only seen in asian pop music these days
Eh, it's weird. Europop is like vanilla icecream with sprinkles. It's nothing but sugar, and although it's good, we've developed to like things that aren't. Like bourbon and cigarettes. Both of those things are objectively disgusting, but we're so tired of -just- sweet we desire the nuance and complexity of bitter, sour, and other generally negative tastes.

"The Vegan Boys" caught me off guard and was funnier than it should have been.
This video represents the entirety of Italy from 1995 to 2006. EVERYTHING was Italodance, you breathed dance, lived it, hated it, snorted it
Brainy Skeleton of doom I’m from Italy, gotta say it depends, old songs used at village festivals are death, like Italian valzer
sounds omazing
Italian here, was young in the 90's, never even heard of the very word "italodance" until recently on the internet and definitely DID NOT "live, breath etc it". So what are you talking about.
lmfao when i clicked this i was not expecting a 100 gecs eurodance remix
Whenever the songs transition I feel like I’m going through songs on Just Dance on my Wii.
Haha same!
It makes me extremely angry that everything you made slaps hard, and furthermore that this video definitively proves that you can eurodance remix literally any piece of audio in existence and I will value it above all other music.
"Cotton Eye Joe was the Old Town Road of the 90s"
These are the kind of hot takes the internet was made for.
I feel no shame in loving this genre
Although it never occurred to me independently, the synth repetition of the initial vocal melody explains so much about how these songs and their starting lyrics get stuck in your head for years and years
trappedontheinternet same for guitar solos. I’m not a fan but they’re definitely catchy, Smells Like Teen Spirit is a good really obvious commercial example
runnin in the 90’s has the best sounding synth backing I’ve ever heard in my life when they say the chorus 😂

To prevent confusion between different "euro genres", I made this,
Europop:
origin date-1960s
origin location-continental Europe
characteristics-just normal pop music, just from Europe
examples-"People Need Love" by ABBA, "Dancing in the Streets" by Boney M, "Take Me to Paradise" by Kelly Marie
Eurodisco:
origin date-early 1970s
origin location-Central Europe
characteristics-a combination of synth pop and American disco
examples-"Spin Me Round" by Dead or Alive, "Love in Siberia" by Laban, "Felicidad" by Boney M
Eurobeat:
origin date-mid 1980s
origin location-UK & Ireland
characteristics-happy lyrics, ~170-180 BPM usually, sometimes electric guitar
examples-"Maharaja Night" by Edo, "Speedy Speed Boy" by Mario Polo, "Running in the 90s" by Maurizio de Jorio
Eurodance:
origin date-late 1980s
origin location-Central Europe
characteristics-sounds like house music, usually in a minor key, sometimes a male rapper, rarely faster than 160 BPM
examples-"Mr. Vain" by Culture Beat, "Rhythm is a Dancer" by Snap!, "No Limits" by 2 Unlimited
that moment you hear .2 seconds of a song and realize its the song you have been trying to find for 2 months.
dude just imagine if you was born during this era you would be a music legend
It was different, artists didn t know all of this, for example there was no internet and the programs were really hard to learn
He would suffer a serious learning curve tbh
It's easy today with modern digital production lines, if you have to do the same with analog synth and recording/mixing it's a different story.
Hououin Kyouma you all must think i’m dumb as fuck or something. you don’t have to take what i said so literal. all i’m saying is that he is good at making the genre and would of been a legend for the time.
