    Very nice content indeed! You've covered the take-off process so well without skipping important stuff as most videos do. I particularly like the professionalism involved especially in the effective use of checklists, readbacks, etc. Now I'm seriously looking forward to other flight phases (En-route, Landing, Emergencies, etc). In the meantime I will subscribe to your channel.

      Enroute, we rarely do much but I'll try incorporate it also limiting video length to a max of 13 mins or less based on research and current stats.
      As for emergencies, it's part of the plan, later on.
      Emergencies are the fun, part 🤣😁 in the simulator for sure. Much appreciated 🙏🏾

      At KQ, Captains wear 4 bars and First Officers wear 2 bars.
      In other airlines, FOs wear 3 bars but I dont mind two as there is no additional benefit.
      In addition, promotions to Captain are based on seniority AND suitability.

    • @dreadscott533
      @dreadscott533 Год назад +1

      I’m not a pilot but I guess it depends on the weight or loading conditions of the aircraft. I once flew onboard a lightly filled B767-200 departing Gatwick Airport to the U.S. and the plane took off with no flaps. I was sitting in my favorite spot, window seat just aft of the wing so I had full view. I was slightly panicked as we rolled down the runway but the plane took off with no effort. I never experienced that before or since, but I guess there are conditions when you don’t need them for takeoff.

    • @CallsignBookworm
      @CallsignBookworm  Год назад +1

      Thank you. Much appreciated.
      Flap ONE is the most commonly used flap for takeoff on the 737.
      A high flap setting gives a better climb angle and is recommended for areas with high terrain around the vicinity of the aerodrome.

    Reduce the vol of the background music on future edits. It is so much higher than the cockpit audio.

    Would you suggest for me to go study in SA and come back and convert my licenses back in kenya, or would you suggest I just train locally? Assume costs are not an issue.

      Either option is ok and it all depends on your preference. All the very best.
