Playing a pre-rendered scene doesn't really require that much graphical power. If nothing else, the greater monitors might've added a bit more color, but that doesn't mean the great character models, details & motion was affected.

illidan in warcraft 3 was so much better than in wow. I liked this very idea that he was so controlled, with this calm voice and beautiful speech, it give him very pleased character. And then in Burning Crusade he appears like some monster, with green burning eyes, torn wings and sharp teeth... so disgusting was it really necessary?
Illidan, the best villain of all. He's not really evil, he's just...well, different. That's what makes a good villain to me, moral ambigouity (spelling).

Even if it meant sacrificing his humanity family, friends, fellowmen etc. etc. I believe Arthas was meant to be that way but the author just overdid it just for the sake of making an "epic boss". But don't take my word for it. Just an opinion, not a fact. True or not we're all entitled to our own opinions.

The old Illidan could literally move mountains with his awesome voice. The new Illidan feels more like a parody of himself, like he's going to spend the better part of the expansion saying variations of "you are not prepared". The Demon Hunter intro made me cringe when he said "you are now prepared" /facepalm.
God I love you Blizzard and your cinematics. The warcraft movie will most likely become my favorite movie eva knowing your guys's track record with visuals.

Also if you want to sound more credible you might try using names. Matthew Yang King did it originally. Liam O'Borehole does it now. Up in the air who really was the BC one. But it def wasnt Liam. He simply doesnt have that range. Nothing wrong with being a one tone wonder, he does his one voice well. But he couldnt do the You are not prepared line if his life depended on it, he couldnt do the BT dialogue and he couldnt do the misc dialogue either. Especially not at that point in his career when he was just a budding artist. I believe the middle one was the same voice actor as Johnny Brovo, who is well known to take on all kinds of misc work as long as the pay is good and has the range to have done it, but since blizzard never gave credits, no one will ever know unless the person in that booth out and claims credit and can show the pay stubs.
