    I've never read a book so fast! ruclips.net/user/postUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU Learning about his dogs and experiences was just the icing on the cake - bed this book through and through. We're working with our new pup and Brandon's advise was just what I needed. Wish he'd just come and train for me haha but it's good for us and happy to have this new set of tools to use on our pup.

    Look, I love the idea of Bree and Zak adopting George as much as the next guy, but I think we should stop commenting about it so much. These videos are not coming out in real time, and there’s a very big chance that George has already been adopted.
    It’s clear how much they love him, and as someone who has done a ton of fostering, it would hurt like HELL to be constantly told “you should adopt them!” When you know they’ve already been adopted.
    If they adopt him, that’s awesome, and if they don’t, that’s also awesome because it means George in another loving home.

    • @miracinonyx265
      @miracinonyx265 3 года назад +16

      I agree with every word you said 100%! While I totally get where people are coming from, the pressure they’ve been applying on Zac and Bree is just not okay, even if it comes from a place of affection for all three Georges. I would happily watch the George show every week indefinitely, but I think people should read and carefully consider what you have said before posting even one more comment telling Zac and Bree what they “should” or “must” do with George. Instead we should show our appreciation for them and for the wonderful work they are doing by supporting them and trusting them to make the very best decision for *all* three Georges. Thank you for providing an eloquent plea from the important perspective of a foster, and also for the work you to to help animals like George become adoptable and find loving homes!

    • @richardcope9803
      @richardcope9803 3 года назад +7

      Very good point. I watch Zak on Instagram and it seems pretty clear George has been adopted by someone else. I am guilty of this too just because they seem like such a good match.

    • @jessicasnaplesfl7474

      It's close enough to real time for some of us to try to keep them from making a huge mistake. How many times do people say, "I wish I had said something", when they learn

    • @jessicasnaplesfl7474
      @jessicasnaplesfl7474 3 года назад

      . . . they might have averted a painful result.

    • @chronically_funnyemma4214
      @chronically_funnyemma4214 3 года назад +2

      @@jessicasnaplesfl7474 but if he’s already been adopted, then it’s done. He’s in a home with people who love and care for him, and if Zak and Bree made the decision to adopt him out, it’s still fresh and raw and being told “you should keep him!” Every other comment on every post about him is a stab to the heart. They’re not gonna undo an adoption and take George away from his new home just because a bunch of comments told them to keep him.
      Like I said, I fostered kittens for years. I’ve been in that situation where I wanted nothing more than to keep a kitten and it wasn’t the right time for our family, or we didn’t have room. I cried *so* much when they were adopted, it hurts like giving a piece of your heart away. But it meant I had room to take another kitten in and save them too.
      I obviously can’t tell people to stop commenting and expect anything to happen- that’s not in my control. I just want Zak and Bree to feel supported in whatever decision they made/make because we don’t truly know their life or circumstances and it’s not our place to judge.
      I’m coming at this from the perspective of an animal foster who loved every single kitten as her own that came through her home- because that’s what you do with fosters. And it hurts. And you have to make hard decisions, constantly.

    george is THE embodiment of my ADHD, hahahha!! all of it: the good, the bad and the ugly. this intense hyperfocus and impulsivity at the same time, the constant need for going for more, for something new. the same ball he went crazy about and couldn‘t/didn‘t want to let go for six minutes straight has already lost its appeal. hope he finds human soulmates who are just as interested in pushing ever new frontiers and chasing ever new goals.

    Great video as per usual.
    I have a border collie puppy, 13 weeks old. Not quite potty trained yet but is making huge strides thanks to your guidance, watched your videos religiously and so far only struggling with the biting. It has gotten better but ways to go yet (starts licking in place of nipping/biting from time to time, thank goodness. My hands and ankles are a bit roughed up.).
    Also, the only time he can sit or lie down next to me and just relax is if he is worn out from play/training. Probably completely normal.
    He looooves chewing on dirt and rocks which is really troublesome. I am in the process of removing as much dirt and pebbles + rocks as humanly possible to keep the backyard safe. He is incredibly welcoming and kind to people, and has only had good reactions to the dogs in the neighborhood :D .
    Loves the frisbees and knows 5 commands so far.
    His first walk was 8 days ago wearing a harness and wow...He didn't try biting the leash even once, spent all his energy on exploring the area with us. In terms of shots he is covered completely and can so begin socializing properly with other dogs in the family.

    I teach basic obedience, which I consider to be more like 'life skills'. But - 'tricks' are SO important for mental stimulation, exercise, and bonding.

    George is AMAZING, someone is going to get one fantastic dog. I'd kill for that when i was into the dog game. He has so much potential for a variety of activities. If your not a foster fail on him .....wow. Looking forward to the double, he's soooo close to getting it.

    As a chronic chewer, chewing on stim toys feels amazing on the back of my head, so I get why that Kong toy feels so good to him. Bull terriers heads are insanely muscly. But omg they are such beautiful dogs.

    Great job Zak and Bree, Keep up the great work. George is doing awesome to. I also like when you take him to the dog park and watch the dogs. (I need to train my dog around dog parks and my dog is a smart dog and also I am trying to get my dog to play around with a frisbee).
