Jason Never Dies is actually a really good title.
I think they can still make it Ik Tom released some concept art with the 40th anniversary box set from scream factory but if this lawsuit never fucking ends then we probably won’t see it 😔
My thoughts exactly. It's blunt and straightforward. It has that "Halloween Kills" ring to it. And it wouldn't be a spoiler since everyone already knows that you can chop him into little gibs and he still would find a way to piece himself back together.
Kind of like a James Bond title. I like it.

I would love to exist in the timeline where "Cheech and Chong meet Jason" was given the greenlight.
And I've always wished that the Bronze Age horror icons would have gotten the Universal Monsters treatment with cheesy and sometimes quality crossovers. Oh well..

Especially Jason Goes to Hell where Jason can possess people even though he never had that power before, had a half sister and niece who'd never been mentioned before, his heart can hypnotise people into eating it and turn into a demon thing that possesses people. And the dagger that could send him to hell had never been seen in any of the previous films.

I also remember in the early 2000's they were trying to get Tarantino to do a Friday the 13th. film.
Also, they tried to convince Fellini to direct one of the sequels in the 80's.
Tarantino also had an idea for a Halloween 6 script, which was basically just gonna be a Natural Born Killers/True Romance/From Dusk till Dawn “criminals on the road” type movie.

john Carlos the homage to wolverine’s first appearance in the Incredible Hulk was great too.
To be honest, I would love to see a _F13_ film with a *Snowy Winter* setting, it actually could give Crystal Lake a new and unique look to it different from the Warm Summer setting as seen in the entire series. And also such heavy snow, like a blizzard, could completely block off and close down the road leading between Crystal Lake and the town, thereby keeping the teens from escaping the lake while also keeping the police from trying to reach the lake.
It really would’ve been great. The characters could’ve college students leaving campus and heading home for Christmas break and thus, they end up at Crystal Lake. A trailer could’ve showed Jason walking in the snow with a trail of bloodstained footprints. With seeing the Christmas decorations the characters have in their car, Jason would think how he can’t celebrate Christmas with his mother. The leaked script pages says we would’ve saw Whitney’s dead body in the frozen lake while the other characters don’t notice as they play hockey. I think we could’ve saw someone fall through the ice and drown for one of the deaths. Jason could’ve even shoved his machete into the ice trying to stab them as they try to swim away.
"Never Hike Alone" is awesome! They should let those people make the next Friday The 13th. "Never Hike Alone" is much better than some of the other Friday films.
They just made a sequel to never hike alone. It's called Never Hike in the Snow. Super good movie set in the winter like we've all always wanted
I actually like to see a Friday the 13th film that takes place in the winter.
A pretty cool fan film came out recently with this premise. Look up "Never Hike in the Snow." It's from the same people who made "Never Hike Alone" which was great.
Ok hear me out, this for free guys, how about ''The Friday the 13th Paradox'' and it has all the Jasons ever battling each other in a time paradox wormhole in Camp Crystal, It's Marvel meets Monster, the body count will be humongous!

And l forgot to mention the badass scene of all the Jason scenes that was played by Ted White when Jason busted through the front living room door to throw that hammer at Trish Jarvis barely missing her head in part 4 final chapter...
Revisit that clip if you forgot that scene, it's the best...

Ted White was my 2nd favorite, the issue I have with Kane hodders portrayal of Jason is he kinda moved more like a weight lifter, chest poked out, arms raised by his side, just didn’t capture the essence of the killer like Richard and Ted
I know that one was insane but I'd love to see the one where the Devil told Jason and Freddy that whoever killed more people could stay on earth.

I kinda love how all the sequel pitches just get more and more ridiculous.
I kinda like the idea of Friday the 13th just going all in on its camp and cheesy B movie qualities and just making every sequel a more and more ridiculous and self aware film.
It's videos like these that make me wish this was exclusively a horror-themed channel.
I love making horror videos but changing up the content helps me stay passionate. I promise not to only do horror videos during Halloween seasons!

Out of all unmade sequels, I really wish we got Jason in the hood. My god, I can't believe that was an idea a bunch of movie producers almost poured millions of dollars into.

9:52 A time travel plot where they go back in time and the search warrant for Freddy's house actually gets signed and he's arrested was used in the Freddy vs Jason vs Ash comic book.
1. I love this concept (unmade sequels). You can always end it by pitching your own sequel for the fun of it.

I love how crazy the Freddy Vs Jason pitches were, yet after all that they went with a pretty basic story for the movie

I personally would have liked to see an official Jason vs Michael movie and maybe have Michael’s sister Judith being one of kids responsible for Jason being drowned in the lake.
Maybe they could expand on that and have Pamela Voorhees to be an initial suspect of Judith’s murder before they found out Michael was.
Well, they knew Michael killed her right away when they found him standing outside holding a bloody butcher knife.

Jason has been stored in a military installation for the last 30 years. While being experimented on, he is given some concoction that enables him to escape and wreak havock. Basically, Jason vs The Man

My favorite has got to be the remake.
It was smart, brutal, and knew exactly what it was.
The remake is also like the only movie in the entire series that actually had some real reverence for the material.
At this point they should just make Friday the 13th: Part Infinity considering how many sequels this franchise has.

There was also one that was going to be a found footage film.
Yeah, it's a little unclear but they were likely going to use the 3D script for the found footage film but it didn't go far.

Since 3D took place in the 80's, and a big part of Part13 was about Jason being killed by some teens with a Cammera
A good chunk of Never Hike Alone is like a found footage movie. It may not be official but...it should be.

My idea for a F13th movie: I always thought a connection between the movies and the TV series would've been establishing that one of the cursed items, from the shop, never recovered by the trio was - a hockey mask. Saying the cursed mask "absorbed" or was possessed by Jason's spirit even after his physical "death" would provide another mechanism for his returns. Maybe the cursed mask won't let Jason die? How it got to Pamela & Jason could make for an interesting story; or, since it's been speculated that Voorhies was just the name of Jason's step dad, maybe "uncle Lewis" was his real father? Making two of the TV characters Jason's cousins..
Well Jason replaces the mask in 8 so how would 2 masks be cursed
OK, I don't remember much about how & where he got the other mask(s?) from; but by the "logic" of some of these films, it would be that big a jump to propose another mask had its own backstory. Maybe the curse of the 1st one drew Jason to it.
But sticking to my original scenario; theoretically by the time Jason changed masks, whatever cursed energy in the (1st) mask could've altered/cursed him. Making him an ongoing repository for such negative energy that subsequent masks ( or maybe even. some of his axes and machetes)? absorbed/downloaded the curse from him; able to transfer some of it it to others.Maybe there could a spinoff about someone cursed by one of Jason's early weapons, as opposed to a sequel.

There is one sequel that you forgot to mention in this list. Luckily minty comedic arts. And that sequel was Jason versus Ash. Which was what Jason goes to hell was supposed to be originally, but they couldn’t decide whether or not they let ash live or let him die. And how he would die if they let him die

Alright so I'm pretty satisfied with Fridays 1-7 as for part 8 the more fleshed out New York would be great (I still like part 8 though) part 9 I would have taken any other version aside from Jason passing the torch to his brother. Jason X is fine I can take it or leave it. For Freddy vs Jason I like the one where they battle in hell while other famous real killers watch. And now I am on board with the new Jason in the snow movie happening as a part 13 but I think they should at least acknowledge part 7 and 8 it wouldn't be hard to watch both the films and write some small explanation of Jason leaving Manhattan or just acknowledging they happened
That Part9 script was quite bad
Jason's Brother Elias (The director said Elias was never meant to be the father untill very late in production) found Jason's dead body, stitched it with barbed wieres and fishing lines and transsfered his soul into Jason's body
Paramount was running on fumes with the series by 8 and didn't want want to give them the budget they needed to really make it special unfortunately. New Line Cinema had no idea what to do with the character they just wanted him for the Freddy vs. Jason tie-in and by the time they got him slashers were going out of style. It didn't help that they let Adam Marcus royally fuck everything up in 9. It's a miracle we got Freddy vs. Jason at all after a decade in development hell.
I'd be down for them continuing the series from part 8 and just ignoring the weird New Line films as alternate reality from the Paramount canon even though part 8 would take some retconning to fix continuity problems.
I have Never really been a horror fan but damn now I want to go watch the Friday the 13th movies. Great episode from a great channel.
Part 6 is also my favorite Friday the 13th movies. It is the that true Friday, before he went into space, toke over people's bodies, etc.

The only cool spot in Jason X was when he shattered that girl's face after freezing it in the sink of liquid nitrogen. I always thought that was a top 5 kill

That makes a lot more sense. I remember a kid in 3rd grade (91') talking about the potential movie idea / plot. I had no clue how close it actually came back then.
Part V is still my favorite for just how much of a pure exploitation film it is, I don't care that the killer isn't actually Jason in it.
Part V is actually underrated. People just shit on it because "oh it's not Jason." You don't know it's not Jason until the very end. The rest of the movie is what slasher fans love. Creative, gruesome killings and breasts. People don't like being fooled is what it is.

Oh my god. Thank god a lot of these movies didn’t get to see the light of day. Why were they so weird when writing the Freddy vs Jason crossover? Its a dumb concept inherently. The devils assassins idea wasn’t too bad though. I’m especially grateful that Cheech and Chong movie didn’t happen. This was such a fun video, Matt. I didn’t want it to end!

There was also a script that dealt with Freddy & Jason bringing about the biblical armageddon, which took place in a Chicago inner-city apartment complex, and featured Freddy pissing in the holy grail.... Yes, for some reason, the literal chalice which was used to contain the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, was in CHICAGO...

I personally never understood why Jason never went after Ginny after Part 2, since she actually knew one of his big weaknesses and how to exploit it.
"Winter/frosty Jason" sounds like a solid idea. I'd pay to see that. I'd expect creative kills with icicles and snow shoves, a victim dressed out like a snowman. Perhaps even a hockey reference.

I grew up with Friday series, was 6 years old when saw original then watched sequels as came out. I love Jason; but I grew tired of dumb plots they came up with . So I started writing my own script, which I did place in winter with an icicle kill for sure. I'm no writer, I'm a nobody I just wanted write something bring Jason back to character I loved watching. I haven't finished writing it's been long work in progress, I read your comment and wanted chime in.

Excellent video. Loved these films in my teens. Always just scary enough for me at that age. Sadly I don't think the slasher / teenage victim / random nudity trope can exist in today's world. Not that I need it to. The older I get, I'm fine with having the originals to fall back on. Nostalgia is a powerful thing.

This channel needs more subs. I mean the narration, editing and writing is pretty good.
The Most strange Facts i can find about the F13 Movies are these 2:
1. Apparently BILLY WILDER (Writer and Director of Double Indemnity and Sunset Boulevard) was willing to come out of retirement to do Part 5 but refused once he wouldn't get Final Cut.
2. in Early stages of Part 7 development, a new producer wanted FEDERICO FELLINI to do it, but the other producers went for someone cheaper.
Imagine 2 Acclaimed directors taking the reins of a Franchise most critics hate, it would have killed the critics if it had happen.
Part 6 is actually my favourite. Whilst it has a lot of comedy in it, the overall tone and story is actually quite great compared to most of the sequels.

I remember reading a few unused Freddy Vs Jason scripts one was in the dark ages another was what you mention.Before Freddy's Dead The Final Nightmare the original script would be continued at the time it was just called Nightmare 6 and would have featured Alice and her son Jacob from Dream Child Alice is dying from cancer caused by her dream powers.Freddy kills Alice and Jacob ends up in foster care in which Freddy now free wrecks havoc at the foster care.Then the dream cops show up from the dream warriors.And of course Freddy's Dead wasn't the last film as Wes Craven New Nightmare was released in 94 and being meta film which is precursor to Scream.I love all the Friday The 13Th films I love all A Nightmare On Elm Street films I wasn't a fan of horror films 1994 is when I became a fan of horror thanks to John Carpenter Halloween it scared the crap out of me.Because of lawsuit other then fan films don't expect to see Jason slashing teens on the big screen any time soon.Wes Craven estate has retained the rights to A Nightmare on elm street as there is a law that most can take advantage of which is 35 years later you can retain the rights to your franchise.Stephen King has giving all studios an ultimatum if you do not make a movie in 2 years then you can not make it as the rights revert back to the original owner.

No seriously, I had to pick my jaw up off the floor upon hearing that one of Trek’s best writing teams nearly did a F13 film. Honestly, it sounds like it could’ve been really interesting.
I would of loved to have seen Cheech and Chong meet Jason, and the first script draft of FVJ sounded pretty awesome
Rumor my whole life has been that they were offically going to make 13 Friday the 13th movie and then call it a day. I'd like to see that rumor become reality.
Great video! The editing was on-point and it was very informative. Jason's like Godzilla. You can stick him in any situation and it'd be fun. Most of these would have been worth watching at least, even if the ideas weren't always that good.
As for unmade Friday the 13th media I'd like to see, I always did wish the alternate ending for Part 6 wasn't cut. I like the idea of establishing Jason's dad. That's one part of his backstory the movies haven't touched and I've never been a huge fan of how outside media have handled it. I still have hope that if Tom McLoughlin's Jason Never Dies pitch ever actually becomes a movie, he'll bring back the cut ending in some form or another.

Jason never dies sounds great. If Sean can get his ego out of the way and pay the damn man then it can start. I love Jason Lives, it’s my favorite Friday The 13th of all time and I’d love to see a direct sequel to it. If I didn’t love part 6 so much I always say i would’ve loved to see Roy stick around longer, I actually really like Part 5 and Roy so that would’ve been cool. If there was a such thing as JASON X part 2 id watch that too. I love Jason X and Id dig another. I’m still pissed that The 2009 sequel never came to be, The movie was and is still awesome, I loved the characters, even the ones I’m supposed to hate but I still did. Derek Mears as Jason is one of the best so I want to see him back if they do another film sometime in the future. Also this has been pissing me off since last year, Because “RINGS” a movie that nobody asked for or cared about, failed... we didn’t get another Friday the 13th.... WHAT A LOAD OF SHIT!
the 2009 reboot was awesome, in my opinion it made jason scary again. there's just something so unsettling about a smarter and more violent jason that sets traps and has a tunnel system

While we still wait for an official Friday 13th film to be made, I strongly suggest that the Fans films are the next best thing to watch like, Never Hike Alone, Vengeance, Roseblood, My Special Boy and the upcoming Vengeance 2. Let all these studios and the people involved make the next Friday the 13th sequel. What do you think guys?

I remember hearing about Freddy being the one who drowned Jason and I thought that aspect was awesome and really tied the characters together.
You forgot to mention the pitch they tried with Jason vs. The Punisher with Dolph Lundgren portraying his punisher from the 80's which wasn't a great punisher but I still would of liked to see that movie.

I was at a Kane Hodder Comic Con panel once in which he laid out what he wanted in a sequel: He wants it to embrace being the 13th Friday, he wants to play Jason again, he wants Tommy Jarvis to come back only to be killed by him, and he wants Corey Felman to play Jarvis again. Because he wants to be able to say he's killed Corey Feldman.
The disco opening theme for part 3 is one of the best pieces of music ever.
