  • When you go to buy vintage, just know you're buying the seller as much as you're buying the watch. I can highly recommend ‪@TimelessHistoryChannel‬ , he's constantly demonstrating his deep love and understanding of these watches on his channel. His channel is a must watch if you want to get into the weeds of vintage omega.
    We paid full price for the watches and have no affiliation...just trying to shine some light on an awesome watch channel.

    You really can't go wrong with a small silver watch with a black strap. The combo is timeless.

    Wow! Amazing to see this Seamaster watch! This model exists with a few different dial variations, but this version is uncommon due to those hour indexes. Take good care of it, my friend.

    A very nice video indeed. I own my grandfathers 1971 Omega Geneve, in gold with a gold dial. It’s so beautiful and now, a 3rd generation wearer. I think that’s pretty cool.

    The last 10 years I have mostly worn Rolex etc 40-42 and even 44mm watches but lately I have been wearing a 1958 Omega Seamaster 2846, 33-34mm, it’s fantastic!

    You cannot beat the look of a vintage watch. Even the lower priced ones have that certain look that goes with everything. I always say your watch shouldn't have more charisma than you do.

    Hey @Hueguh, what is the lug-to-lug width on this watch? I had this on my radar as I have small wrists, but lug to lug looks big.
    Also, did your wife have to do her own research when buying you this watch?
    As with all vintage watches, and with basic vintage watch buying advice, you're told to tread carefully when buying!
    Great video

    • @robdove8341
      @robdove8341 2 года назад

      Well spotted. The lugs are long in proportion to the case diameter. I have a very similar 34mm Seamaster from 1962 with original bracelet. The case looks exactly the same & measures approximately 41mm lug to lug. The Seamaster is the most liked & commented on watch I have. It's not just me...everybody loves it.

    Hey mate, what strap have you fitted to your seamaster? I’m looking to pick up a black strap for a ref 166.010 but I’m having trouble finding a black strap that isn’t clunky.

    Congrats! Really lovely piece and so special as a wedding present. Do you happen to know the case reference of this model? I have a very similar piece but with slightly different hour indices (with onyx inserts in 12, 3, 6 and 9). Thank you!
