- A year ago i challenged myself to make an 80s cartoon crossover (I just LOVE video editing!), and i made a Transformers meet He-Man (and GI Joe) mashup.
I then continued the ongoing story with Universal War, and then the Christmas Crossover.
Now comes the next story in the series, Time War.
This video has taken over 4 months to produce and has been so much fun! I hope you enjoy watching it as much as i enjoyed making it.
Some characters appear as a brief cameo, others have more scenes, see how many 80s cartoon characters you recognise. There were some characters that i wanted to have more screen time but sadly i had to cut some scenes due to copyright issues.

Great cross over again :), Poor Mensor forms only to get a punch from He-man lol, loved how megs say Guardian Robots talking about the gobots then Cy-kill tell him dead bots. The 80's the only time when so many universes could join to get in a huge fight and everyone would love to see a movie done for it.
Thank you! I realised that i needed something BIG for He-Man to do that was worthy of the most powerful man in the Universe, so poor old Menasor became the sacrificial lamb! Going into this video, I always knew I wanted Cy-Kill and Megatron to interact, and when i found the clip of Megatron saying guardian robots, i knew id hit the jackpot. I would have loved to do a Transformers vs GoBots, but someone else has already done that and did a great job, so I'll leave it alone and just do a few small interactions in my videos. Thanks for you support.

Thank you, so glad you enjoyed it. There really were so many awesome characters that I could include, i had to trim some characters down to a mere cameo in order to keep the story flowing and not have an hour or so extra run time of tons of cool characters doing cool stuff just for the sake of it!

Matthew, this is Ryan. Im the producer of Dungeons & Dragons Requiem. Youre my brother in arms here man. I am so thrilled to see this. Especially the D&D charactors thrown in the mix. I know first-hand how difficult this must have been. Splicing the dialog (and having it flow logically)...Accomplishing that would have probably shorted out my last remaining braincells. I don't know how you managed it. I tip my horned helmet to you sir.

I'm really pleased you liked Time War, it certainly did take many, many hours of work in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop (trimming out unwanted backgrounds etc. and for re-animating shots). The most time consuming part though is the research especially finding the exact line i need to finish a conversation... i listen to episodes of the relevant show whilst walking my dogs or when driving in my car until i find the right line... its a long winded way of doing it, but i dont want to use AI, so it must be done!
Since January i have been working constantly on the follow up to Time War and as yet im only about 70-80% done, its hard going and the more of these crossovers i make the more particular i am about all the backgrounds or lighting in shots matching... lets just my perfectionism is making my job way harder.

ElevenLabs might make it possible to recreate the old voices, to enable more flexibility with the dialogue.
This was fantastic. Excellent splicing. My favorite was Chris Latta arguing and berating himself.
Thanks very much for your comment! The Chris Latta character interactions are always a joy to make when i do these crossovers, and this time i was able to add Cravex to the mix! i could literally make a cartoon about Cravex, Cobra Commander, Starscream and Chris' other characters, its so much fun!

At the start of the episode, i deliberately had Krang say "there's no telling what might come through that portal!"... so Unicron's arrival was Shredders fault due to his quest for ultimate power!

"Time War" has a 99% audience score. Only in theaters may 18th. Ok but seriously the Rescue bots bit and all the primes came together caught me off guard.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! Glad you werent expecting the Transformers Cartoon Multiverse part, i enjoyed crossing over the various Transformers cartoons as well as the 80s ones. This series was always meant to be my version of an 80s Cartoon characters 'Avengers End Game' like story with heroes from tons of series coming to help for the greater good.

All I can think of to say is that you really outdone yourself with this one. The way you've managed to clip different pieces together from different cartoons it's quite outstanding. Between some of the humor with starscream arguing with himself, and some of the unexpected story elements along the way, very truly a great cartoon to watch.

GI Joe exists in same world as Transformers G1. There even 2 characters that crossover (1 was an illusion based on memories of the daughter of 1 but still)
Yes, i realise that. I have been planning a straight Transformers and GI Joe crossover episode which due to them existing in the same universe won't need to rely on portals and magic!

This is simply beautiful. The editing for the most part is immaculate and the composition of the shots is very good considering the fact that all the franchises have different styles.
Thanks so much for your comment! The biggest struggle i had merging together cartoon of different styles, was the differening backgrounds, so straight shots cut together just didnt look write. To get around that i often had to remove the background from each frame of a cartoon sequence that didnt match the Transformers style, then insert a standard Transformers 'rocky' background and re-animate them in Adobe Premiere. It meant that the whole production took much longer than i first thought, but i got pretty quick at the process by the end.
I also found that the cartoons of different styles seemed to work better, when i made group shots with characters from different shows all stood together.

@@cheeseburger12 Thanks, I've always been a huge time travel fan, so this episode was so much fun to make. I love it when a moment keeps getting revisited through time travel! I worked on this episode until i was 100% satisfied (by which time i had added about an extra 10 mins more than i was going to), but strangely i miss working on it now ive finished!!!

@@MattMeadowsDesigns Stingray is a submarine, the Thunderbirds are rescue vehicles. Other cartoons will crossover with Transformers. There's Kangaroo Beach and the Octonauts, for example.
