Just played the theme for friends from Romeo and Juliet. We were the same age and eventually I married my “Romeo.” He died. I still can’t get over it. We had four children and now have 18 grandchildren that never got to meet him. Life…

Olivia Hussey is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. She is an angel.
Born in February of 1951, I recently found out that Olivia was born in 1951 as well. When I took my future wife to see Romeo and Juliet in the theater in 1968 or 1969 (right at the time of it's release and showing in Philadelphia), I immediately fell in love with Olivia and Leonard Whiting. One could not wait for Olivia to appear on screen as the film went on. She was so alive and beautiful that she made the movie seem as real life. I like to think that my love for my young wife was deepened by that movie as we both, at 17 and 16, were so innocent and impressionable and just starting out in adult life as Leonard and Olivia were at that time. When I realized that her husband's father, Anthony Eisley was a friend to my father, briefly in Folcroft Pennsylvania in the 1930's I was taken aback. I felt deeply a sense of how we seemingly are detached from one and other but really are connected in little ways that we could not ever imagine. I see these pictures of Olivia from long ago and thankfully remember clearly and still feel the same as I did back then.

In my opinion the finest Juliet ever on screen or stage. Classical beauty, Olivia Hussey. She was in some forgettable films after Romeo and Juliet, but her roles as the Virgin Mary in Jesus of Nazareth and Mother Theresa made up for that.
Totally agree! The finest Juliet, the sweetest Mary and some small but remarkable charachters in less known productions. Always a pleasure to see her on stage or the screen.

@@SnowDreamFlake .... Sorry, she didn't. Like alot of teenagers of the day, she smoked. As an adult she knew when to quit. No physical effects to her or her children. Any natural aging such as loss of baby face from child births, is again natural, mature womanhood who isn't afraid of some sunshine and wind on her face straddling her husband on a motorcycle ride...her face is as moist as her beautiful hair. First time I saw her was when my high school showed Romeo and Juliet in our auditorium about 40 years ago. I remember one of the guys gasped loudly when the nude scene came on the screen lol. Still have this thing for her. Also, that Will Shakespeare writes a good story.
