@ One of the most classic and memorable romantic themes of any film, Franco Zefferelli's
Romeo and Juliet score, composed by Nino Rota, reflects the tragic passion of the famous story it portrays. When youths Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet first meet it is a bond that cannot be broken, love at first sight. However, with the blood feud between their families still as strong as ever, it is the most famous romance of all time destined for tragic doom.

ROMEO opens the tomb to reveal JULIET inside.

I prayed for Juliet in 1969, after I saw this movie, found my Juliet at the end of 1970, was engaged at the end of 1973 and married her in May 1976! Who says that Romeo and Juliet can’t lead to a happy ending! We now have 4 daughters and 7 grandchildren!

The best review I could give to this film is that it's how I pictures it would be when we rehearsed it as a young man. These two young actors meant every word and we felt it through the screen. It was horrifying and beautiful at the end 😢
