"Four doors are for people with lazy children"
I will forever use this quote!
Sarah, I'm so happy you love your Pokey. I was part of the hundreds of people who worked hard to bring this vehicle to life, and your reaction was worth all of the effort we put into it.
I don't believe you. You work at Seven Eleven!
That's really cool! Keep doing what you do!
You work at my local McDonald. I saw you :))
My compliments to all involved with developing this offroad beast.
Nice work jcolif. What a nice vehicle. I hope the manual transmission is tougher than my jeep nsg370 manual.
I love the way you spec'd out your Bronco. It shows that you don't have to option one out to $60k to have something cool.
Yeah it’s perfect congratulation
Yeah, I think I'd even consider just the base model, and maybe adding the sasquatch package. I don't need all the extra junk. Probably don't even need the sasquatch package. It would take me anywhere I'd want to go without it, just like my stock Tacomas have, which is pretty impressive considering the places I've taken those.
Exactly how I would option one.
Even a base is super cool.
I got my new 1988 Bronco at Jim Clicks. Eventually, you know the monsoons?? I decided to go into the Pantano Wash after the water quit running...but hit a patch of quick sand....I had no idea that tow trucks had such long cables to reach my truck. I really love your new Bronco 100%, everything about it. I really love your Gumby sense of humor.....Have fun!!
Ugh, I've built your exact Bronco countless times, down to the color and everything.
Congrats, now I can live vicariously through your experiences. 😊
I owned a mint 1970 Ford Bronco with a 302 that I purchased in 1980. I loved that vehicle but I modified it so much for off-road that I destroyed its ability to enjoy it on the street. (My Dad tried to warn me but I didn't listen). I love, love, love your choice and can't wait to see what's next! Ford if you are listening... Please offer a naturally aspirated V6.
Congratulations! That’s awesome that you got the two door model, I think the proportions of the four-door look kind of goofy
Goofy. Like Land Rover goofy?
@@morthomer5804 yes
Like updated (sort of) 90's explorer goofy !
@@tednewcomb1048 yes
@@MarioSantana1335 No one said that they couldn’t buy what they wanted.
A basic Bronco with a stick, well done! Congratulations Sarah.
"baby moons" don't have any stamped lettering or anything on them.
gratz on the Bronco.
it's the color of Eeyore.
Eeyore lol 😆
I've seen like 800 Bronco reviews but you still managed to make it interesting; Respect.
Haha, this wasn’t a review. Thanks though!
I love that you literally specced this like you were an enthusiast a couple decades from now. Any time we look for a used car to buy now, we want the stripper model with a manual transmission. So cool!
James May in the back judging the whole time is 10/10
Beautiful! Especially with the 7-speed. And no, don’t paint that top!
I’d leave the top colour as it is. It contrasts nicely with the body colour.
Congratulations on the new addition! This version actually looks like a Bronco, and who needs a bunch of extras on an off road vehicle. Looking forward to seeing the build out, because we all know with your attention to detail, it will be top notch
Mad respect for your choice of the 7 speed, and choosing that over the sasquatch package 💪
Thing about the sasquath package is that it's just a lift, fender flares and bigger wheels/tires. Which is a lot easier to do yourself down the line than swapping in the 7 speed haha.
Not much more than lift, but front differential definitely an upgrade for squatch package. It's locking and actually a bigger heavier duty differential, otherwise same front diff as ranger gets
Congrats, Sarah. I know you've waited a long time for your Bronco. Glad your dealer didn't try to screw you with a markup. They earned the shoutout. Can't wait for your full review.
I bet that some of their guys watch her channel. They better be nicer to her than us regular people.
@@1slotmech it would be wise to offer considerable considerations
Dealers can't add any mark up on broncos, mach e, and future lightning that have been ordered through ford.
That "dealer mark" stuff you have is totally weired. We dont have something like that in europe. When it says x € it is x € not more. And tax is always included in every price tag.
@@didiermejia780 I mean I just tried to buy mine from Marina Ford in Marina Del Rey and they said it will be a $2k markup
I just picked up my 2022 f-350 two weeks ago. Great experience from Bear Lake Motor in Montpelier Idaho. We spent only one hour at the dealer and then traveled back 200 miles to our home. Great experience.
Congratulations Sara. We look forward to seeing where the adventures take you.
Really like the Black Diamond package, two door, steel wheels, looks awesome. Hope the roof don't leak tho.
I think you will have some fun with that bronco and I love the name, it made me giggle. Maybe you can make a sling for the roof that attaches to your lift to take the roof off easily. I think a nice Sarah-N-Tuned vinyl decal on the roof would be nice if you have a wall mount for it, kinda like a banner. Get on that horse and go for a ride.
I'm sure you realized it by now, but the rear hard top section is one piece, not a top and sides. Comes off by removing the bolts along the inside sides, above the wheel wells. Pretty heavy and unwieldy to remove for 1 person alone.
Awesome! Congratulations to you Sarah! You deserved it...now enjoy it! Keep up the amazing job! ROCK ON! cheers to you on this wonderful Sunday!
Also, nothing like a custom built BRONCO!
Especially by ones own hand.
I WANT ONE!!!!!! my husband made me believe that i was gonna get one for christmas well i just knew that box w/my name under tree was too small to hv a bronco in it
Congratulations on your new acquisition, Sarah. It makes tons of sense to get a base model vehicle for someone who's going to customize the heck out of it. FYI...the hub caps on the woody are commonly called "dog dish" hub caps. And yes. those woodys are all solid wood and came with a flathead V8 engine. I'll be watching to see what you do with the Bronco???
No, they were called moonies hubcaps.
Exactly kinda why I want a 2008-2010 dodge challenger v6 base model because with all the power train problems people are having,,if I'm going to end up changing the main drivetrain in one I might as well be the cheapest option one's.. and I'll just find me a used one somewhere..
I agree with Daniel, the hub caps were called "MOONIES" or MOON hub caps.
Moon hub caps were plain made by Mooneyes an accessory company. These are just standard Ford caps.
@@simplysimon9868 Ah yes, you are right! It's been a long time.
Steelies FTW!!! Looks great Sarah, congratulations.
This is how you order a new car. The right color. The right options. The right wheels. Absolutely no need to go over $40k on one of these. You’ll get 100% of the enjoyment of the higher priced packages. Well done.
Totally love the way you ordered it! I own a bone stock 1969 Bronco and love the simplicity and utility of the Ford Bronco. Congratulations!
I may have just blurted out "Sarah got her Bronco!" to my wife. My wife doesn't know who Sarah is...
Hang the top from the garage ceiling. Easy removal and install and doesn't take up garage space.
Nice Bronco! Excellent color combo. Don’t paint the roof. The hub caps on the woody were often referred to as baby moons, later model years, they were often called them dog dish.
Yep,Baby moons is what we called them back in the day.
Wow!! $38000??!! I can’t find any of these for less than $57,000 used in my area. Good for you!
So friggin cool!!! Congrats on yer new ride! One day I'll have one. Can't wait to see what you do with it. And yes, your fenders come off it's a process that makes it pretty simple. And your fender flares and all that stuff too. You can take the fenders off put on an off road kit for the weekend and put the stickers back on for the work week. Pretty schweeeet
Oh yeah thanks we know that's coming now. It might even see her off-road buggy what happened to that did I miss something
Congrats! I ordered a 4 door B.D. and just got my build date. I'm still not sure if I'm going to buy it or not.
Glad you finally got it Sarah! I kind of feel like you will be among the minority of owners that optioned it out as a pretty stripped down base model. I think it's awesome. Looking forward to seeing what you do with Pokie!
@@Databyter Totally agree... I was between this spec and the Big Bend. The Base is a great value but was just a bit too basic. Ultimately I opted for the more road focused Big Bend knowing it was going to be a 90% road going daily. 2dr, manual, area 51, only opted for the LED lighting (well worth it to me), a tow hitch and rubber floor mats, came in at $36k... no mark up here either. I think Sarah's extra $1k over my spec was well spent for what the Black Diamond delivers.
Congrats, by the way the rear camper shell does not come off in pieces it comes off as one unit you have three bolts on each side to remove I believe, and the four door has eight bolts…👍🏽👍🏽
Love it when car enthusiasts actually get a manual! Great job!
Regarding the 46 Ford, those small hubcaps are called "dog-dish". The "moons" are aftermarket and are smooth.
Congratulations Sarah. Love the steelies too. Those are dog dish hub caps on the 1947.
We called em baby moons or moonies in the midwest back in the day.....
@@greenhometony I grew up in the day in the Midwest. Moons are very specific smooth curved shape, dog dishes have steps in them (just like the ones on the ‘47).
@6:16 easily the best piece of comedy of the modern era “its got the ford ding ding ding” 😂
I'm jealous of your Bronco. Glad you choose the 7 speed manual.
True car enthusiasts prefer manual. 👍
Congratulations it’s very nice. I know what you mean I dread going to a car dealership. I had a colonoscopy that was terrible and I’d rather get another one than go to a dealership.
Such a cool truck! You work so hard, you deserve it!
When ordering these Vehicles make sure the prices matches the factory retail price so you don't get taken for a ride by the dealership. It easy to keep dealership honest buy build your own on ford websites.
No bully bars! They enhance damage if you get into a wreck! rubber mats over carpet works well. Floor drain is cool- always felt my old xterra should have had one.
Dealer mark up is usually done on limited production models such as the Ford GT or Roush tuned vehicles.
Pokey looks awesome. I remember how much joy a brand new car brings.
needs some pizazz how about a targa top paint job of contrasting blue color?
Those hubcaps were sometimes called baby moons not sure about the 40's but in the 60's for sure everybody wanted those things
Congrats. I've been tempted to order one myself, and it seems decent. The manual availability is a plus, can't get that in a truck unless you buy an old one.
"I'm living high society now!" 🤣
Congrats on the new Bronco! Can't wait to see what you do with it
Yay, congratulations on acquiring your new Ford Bronco, Sarah! That looks like a nice Bronco and the name that you chose for it is indeed adorable. It is cute how it has the name of the horse and a similar color to Gumby, the horse's friend. 🙂
Gumby was much greener!
Custom orders will never be marked up, if they are, run far far away from that dealer. Only dealer vehicles that are sitting on the lot can be marked up. Congrats on the Bronco.
Awesome old school look, best combo I’ve seen. Love the wheels.
Awesome, congrats! '88 Eddie Bauer Bronco II was my first vehicle... Miss that thing. I really dig these new Broncos, wish I could afford one.
Go Bronco!! Thank you for holding out, Sarah!!!
I agree....we need to get rid of the sales department at dealership. My last dealership experience ended with the dealership forging my signature on state rebate forms trying to steal $2000. Thank goodness I contacted the state looking for my rebate and they discovered the forged signature.
Congrats on Pokey! I like how you spec'd it and glad the dealership did the right thing.
MSRP in 2021 is considered to be a heavy discount ..
Inflation is transistory ? -_-
p.s. the EST 1966, means that the estimated delivery date was 1966 ..
Pokey, ❤️ it! You spec'd the best package for what you do. Let's see, to start, seat heaters, oem led taillights, front locker and a tune. Upgrade ready makes it "channel friendly!"
A new car, any new car (almost), that glorious smell inside. Holding the wheel and saying "it's mine"
Congratulations! It’s fantastic just as you ordered it. Simple is better. I love that it’s a two door and a manual. That’s a lot of truck for the money. The roof looks great as it is.
Congrats on your Bronco. There are a variety of hoists you can mount in the garage so taking the top off by yourself. Now, get to modding.
Congratulations Sarah I love your rig. You should get a personalized plate that says Pokey.
My dad had a 87 blue ranger XLT. I Remember the vents and they did look very similar to those vents!
AAAHHHH!!!! That's so awesome, Sarah!! Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! I look forward to seeing you play with it! Congratulations! I love the putty grey colour, the steelies, and especially since you stuck to your guns and got the standard transmission. Jealous!✌❤🙂
YES!! I too would like the optional toaster on the front bumper. Can't imagine a picnic without wine and warm toast.
Looks sweet, I like the colour contrast of body to roof. Will be looking forward to see his underpinnings.
"4 Doors are for people with lazy children ." LOL , Love that . I have a 2dr Badlands on res/order since 7/20/20 and who knows when I'll see it . Happy you got yours . Oh and that is a crash bar in the wheel well not part of the rock slider . You can remove those to fit larger tires . Rangers have them also .
As an owner of a green 95 Ranger (and 4 other vehicles) I've watched your channel with much interest. As someone looking to purchase a Bronco, now I've another reason. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, experiences, and ideas. (I discovered your channel from your plug-in electric Jeep review. Like them or not, electrified vehicles are the future.)
Dealership near me in NC has a mark up or Market Adjustment as they call it, of $10,000 on their Bronco's! They had a model MSRP for $50,000, had added $9,000 in mods = $59,000 and then added another $10,000!!!!!! Asking price $69,000! The Sales rep told me it's because of low stock and high demand. So you mean price gouging! I'm not paying that! I'll wait.
Omg it’s beautiful!!
You deserve it!!
That's the one I want! 7-speed 2-door Bronco. I'm curious how that would compare against a 2-door Jeep Wrangler.
All of the videos I’m seeing doing some climbing and whatnot, the stock bronco is doing things modified rubicons can’t do. Ford knocked it out of the park. Now to see if it’s dependable
I'm so happy for you!!! It took forever but it looks awesome!! Congrats 🎉👏
I really didn’t think I liked these, but I’m liking the fact they plum and plan for the upgrades you may want to do. Hmmm
Congratulations Sarah.....if anyone deserves it you do. You work your butt off at your craft and your channel. Hope it brings you years of happiness. Time to hit the trails!!
I would have done the same thing and gone for the manual. Good on you. So much more fun with a manual. Nice Bronco!
I love the two door. You specked it out exactly how I would right down to the color. Can’t wait to see a little more content on this thing. Congrats on the new rig!
looks more like theorigclassic rig
I don't understand why Ford can't match up the 7 speed manual to the 2.7. I know they're targeting different groups - BUT - it should still be an option. IMHO of course. Congratulations Sarah. It was worth the wait.
Yea for the dealer. being better than a root canal and mammogram! ;)
Should be a 2022 model year considering when you received the vehicle a month prior to 2022. I love your enthusiasm on this review and attention to detail.
I love the spec! it's like an all-killer no-filler album. However, you're going to have to wrap Gump to put more color into your fleet.
More like all poverty for 40k trim
Speced exactly as I would, Black Diamond with the Manual, 2-door smaller engine steelies and all I don't know how many times I've built it out on the website
Congrats on the new car!! I wonder what working on a new car without issues is like
I have a Jeep Wrangler, so the only thing I like better on the “screwed up Bronco launch” is the 1/2 doors. Those are cool.
I give a shout-out Cory. I hope we hear more from Cory. Maybe they can even turn into a business friend relationship. Don't be surprised if you hear about that young lady.
Between the Ranger and the Bronco, it would be more likely the parts counter personnel.
I have a 93 Bronco, since they relaunched the Bronco EVERYONE has asked me what do I think about it. Iv just been saying "I have no interest in buying a vehicle new." I can't wait for your review.
Congrats Sarah, your Bronco is so nice and you ordered it with a proper MANUAL transmission! LOVE IT!
Just picked mine up today. I guess I’ll make a video !! Soon!
Congrats Sarah! It's about time they got that out to you! I'm excited to see you build out your bronco!
I love that you made the reference to Gumby, made my day cause i loved that show when i was a kid! Go Pokey!
Finally, someone who bought a realistic new off road buggy! Congrats on the new ride Sarah!
I can't believe that you can get one with a manual transmission, but that is so cool and the fact you got no options. It is actually a cool new vehicle unlike that other "thing" that goes by the same name, but let's forget about that one.
Excellent configuration. As others have noted, you spec'd a classic 2-door stick Bronco without going overboard on unnecessary frills. I'd be very interested in seeing you drive it after taking off the top.
Glad things went smoothly. I got my new Lincoln Aviator (400HP with 10-speed transmission) in March. They delivered to the house with zero hassle. They even called and figured out I qualified for a couple thousand off that I wasn't expecting.
Sacrificing the Bigfoot for the Manual transmission; a woman after my own heart! I bought a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL with the 6-speed - it was like hunting a unicorn to find one, but I'm glad I didn't cave. Enjoy the new ride!
Very nice Bronco I love the color you picked out. At first I was thinking 🤔 oh no, I don't like it but when you drove it into the sunlight it popped and I changed my mind about it! 🤯🥰👍 One thing is I would not paint the top it goes so nice with the body, it looks awesome. But I can't wait to see what upgrading you do to it. I love unboxing videos and I thank you for sharing this with us. Keep up the great shows. Oh, you look so cute in it too.🥰👌
That manual is a game changer. Hopefully, the maverick will have a 2 door manual someday, with a 6 foot bed
Steel wheels are always better on a heavy duty application. I have a 2008 Dodge Ram 5500 Cummins 4X4 and more than once I've had to pound out a dent around the perimeter of the wheel after hitting a pothole. Not doing that with aluminum. Very nice Bronco Sarah and manual is a plus!
Wrangler fan, here, but this is the only Bronco (this exact build) I'd own, without all the electronic stuff on the upscale models. Super smart buy, and you could sell it at a profit, tomorrow. Heat in the seats super easy to add, and you'll have a blast personalizing this rig, as we will watching the process. Happy trailing to you, Sarah.
I'm very impressed with your progress and you deserve every bit of the fruit of all your labor. I also love your anticipation of your dealer experience " I'd rather have a mastectomy and a root canal instead of going thru this dealer delivery". Also the repeated references to your aircraft experience. My Dad was the Plant Superintendent at Fairchild when the A10 was being built and retired when that contract was completed. Did you ever work on the A10s?
