You guys are so much more intuitive and realistic than all our pavement knickers here in the US. Got my Tacoma and everyone just asked when the 33s coming. I scratched my head.
Being from Austria rather than Australia it's not easy for me to guess the most demanding track in Australia, but from what I've seen on your videos the Old Telegraph track is top of my list. I drive a Pinzgauer 712 6x6. It has a clearance of 37 cm underneath the diff, so I guess I can do without a lift :-) Cheers lads, and keep on doing these great videos !
I’m an absolute novice and I’ve been searching for a video that gets me heading in the right direction from the get go. Dead set best video I’ve seen mate. Straight up good advice and in just 15 minutes I have my priorities right and my budget sorted. Subed and liked. Bloody champion
2019 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport. We took it 4wding about 2 months ago completely stock and the factory bash plate is bent in exactly like the one you guys showed in the video, we luckily got a way with no drivetrain damage but we don’t have the money to replace them and when we do we will most likely end up bashing them again, we would love a set of underbody protection so the next time we go out we don’t have to worry about potentially going home on the back off a tow truck, cheers Graham and Shauno.
Around 6 months ago my dad and I were driving north up to Rockhampton and didn't have a uhf. We came over a hill and a western star with a 6 meter wide cat d10 bulldozer on the back was coming right at us! (if we had a uhf we would have been well prepared). Would love to win that awesome uniden uhf, it looks so good! Loving the new videos by the way!
Q: When did you wish you had a winch? A: Got stuck at Cruiser Park only needed to move half a metre forward but had to walk about 10km back to camp to find someone to pull me out.
Really needed a winch when at age 12, I got my best mate’s dad’s 4x4 stuck in what I thought was a creek and turned out to be a 5ft deep bog hole hahaha. Didn’t have any vehicles on the farm to recover so we had to wait a few hours for another mates truck to pull her out. Plenty of winch worthy trees around that hole
I have a 2019 Holden Colorado. And one time I was out at the Riverstone tracks and there was a bunch of people in their underpants running towards us covered in mud and there said they where stuck. And somehow they got a brand new 4x2 Toyota hilux stuck head first into a bog hole. And we had no winch so we got a ratchet strap and hooked to the rear tow bar and tried to pull them out but no luck. And that’s why we needed a winch.😂
A Poem about BashPlates: There once was a man called Aron He had a Pajero called Kar-en It was quite bare With no under (bashplate) wear Until Graham fixed him up with a new one
From Colorado in the US. Not sure the hardest track in Australia. But, I love seeing how everyone approaches the tracks down there. Would love to be blessed with some off-road parts from the manufacturer’s you gents use in Australia. Love watching everything you guys put out!
Happy to be the Kook of the day and look after that Runva winch for you. Was on a trip up to charters towers with my dad and brother after a helluva lot of rain. Pulled off on the side of the road whilst checking the map to make sure we were on the right station road. We sunk straight into the softest clay you’d ever see. Thank goodness for RACQ and their winch, got us straight out... 5 hrs later.
Thanks, Graham, for featuring this useful topic on modification and the things to consider. I am very keen to do some mods to my Isuzu D-max but do not know where exactly or how to start, and the considerations to make without unknowingly 'harming' my D-max in the long run. And this video answers my questions. Wonderful, beneficial video for 4WD enthusiasts!
2015 Isuzu Dmax. Most corrugated road I’ve ever done is through the Gunderbooka National Park in northern NSW. I would love a set of quality bash plates as I am constantly scrapping my underbody. I need to protect those crucial parts. Check out my Facebook Page, Budget Off-Road Touring
I own a ln106 hilux. The time I could of used a UHF was when I got bogged on high tide in my old jackaroo, no reception so I had to set up camp and watch the car get hit by the waves. Woke up in the morning and recovered it 🤣
Theres no better place to pull up for a beer on a friday afternoon after a massive week at work then Redhead beach in Newcastle, pull up with some mates and set up a bbq with some tunes and well, the rest sells itself.
Would love to pull up at shaunos bar in the Vic high country for a beer, living down in Vic I often feel a bit left out in the 4wd coverage so glad you boys are able to put us on the map!
Re. A fridge... a few years back, I was helping my bro on his property down Eyre Peninsula for a coupla weeks. We ran about 3km worth of stringer posts in a couple of days, during mammoth heat and at the end of the day, sat and watched the sunset with a cold one from the middle of a 10,000 acre wheat farm. Pretty bloody awesome! I need a fridge to get back there and do it again, now the borders are open. Yew!
1997 hilux, I would love a formula 2 inch lift sitting on stock suspension at the moment. I’ve only been 4wding a few times but the most corregated track I’ve seen has to be in Kinchega National Park
2010 Isuzu dmax! this is my first four wheel drive, I bought the car with some very old 2 inch lift already in it, can only assume that is on its way out sometime soon! can confirm I am a bit of a kook, getting stuck in Lancelin almost tipping it on its side with no radio, no winch but only some mates from up the road, but thats just another day in WA.
Front locker is superior as demonstrated in the new video (DMW made it with you guys). Lockers are for restoring a loss of traction. IFS loses traction more than live axles and the rear of the vehicle by design has more traction going over obstacles. Best option is to get both.
We've just booked a year off to do a lap of OZ! Bash plates will mean we're not dumping our oil when we get off the beaten track. Standard 100 Series bash plates aint gonna cut it! Thank for the awesome content fellas.
Have a 2019 Mazda Bt50 and i would love a winch! One time i was mucking around in abit of sand with a bunch of mates in the car and then boom i got bogged bottomed out on a little sand hill and my gosh we were digging for hours! A winch would of saved hours of time as there was many trees nearby!
If its the 4j be careful, I would recommend replacing the sump asap, the clearance from the pick-up to the sump is minimal and will starve of oil if the dent is bad
Pajero, and I believe most corrugated track is Cameron's corner bordering all 3 states QLD, NSW and SA! I love the show just as much as; Graham loves Taylor Swift Shauno loves Patrols And as much as Jocko loves Ponies Cheers guys 😁
Nice video, I just realised it's quite a few years ago now this video was made.. Most corrugated track I've ever been on was the border track Victoria South Australia. So straight but bumpy. Never ending. And UHF, camping with mates years ago, on the backwaters of the Murray River. 9pm my mate and I went searching for wood down a few dirt tracks. But could not find the campsite on our return. Took us till 1am. Funny thing our new car has no USB radio. It costs so much now, to build up a brand new 4wd. My wife keeps going off about what it all costs. Lift, front bar, all terrain tires, rims, suspension improvements. Even recovery points never ending. It's our first brand new car, and when we eventually get a UHF, I want it professionally done. No wires, radio under the dash etc. receiver on a magnetic hook that plugs in when you want it and put away when not in use. You know another funny thing. This car doesn't even have a CD player. It's good for Spotify if you have Wi-Fi range. Haha.
2009 RC Holden Colorado The most corrugated track we've been on is Useless Loop Road on the way to the most Western Point of Australia, Steep Point/Shelter Bay. Was a fun and bumpy drive in towing the tinny! Gotta say there was no better view then coming over that final hill after a couple hours of corrugation to see the amazing beach! Can't wait to go back and crack an iron jack there again, the views are stunning and the sunsets unreal! Next time will be definitely making time to shoot across to Dirk Harthog as well! :)
Need a UHF, because I was in the Vic high country, tetering on two wheels on a nice hill and my old man yelling through the window said don't go but I couldn't hear him properly because of my misso's squeals and amongst all the panic thought he said go and flipped my 80 on its roof 🛑
Afternoon, The time I wish I had a winch would have to be when myself and two of my mates went for a 4wdin a stock rodeo around my family farm near glasshouse, the sun was going down and when were just heading out. to cut a long story short we were driving up a track when we slid of the side of the hill siding into two big trees. one tree was on the rear diver door and the other was behind the tray. this cased us to not be able to go forward and not be able to go back we were stuck. We had to walk out of the track and down to the farmer from Maleny Black Angus who had a winch fitted to his car. we drove down and hook up a snatch block and pull the ute sideways off the trees. After the mammoth of a weekend we vote never to go 4wding without a winch
Such a good vid, showing you don’t need the biggest lift or tires to get places. Love the work Graham. My car is a 120 Series Toyota Prado (2004) - Stock bash plates have absolutely copped a flogging and are no longer useable, so a new set would be wonderful.
Onya Graham. My winch story is from Mcbrides Beach, NSW in 2018, solo trip. Bit off more than I could chew. Got stuck less than halfway up on a small angle and thought it was all over. Front locker didn't engage so ended up having to back down 50 metres and park up along the side of the track (in gear of course). Then started the long arduous walk up to the top to get someone to come and rescue me. To make the whole situation worse, id lost my phone fishing a few hours before :O. Taught me a real lesson . Landcruiser 76 series.
I own a 2015 Hilux and have a 2 inch lift installed but sadly I’ve mad the mistake of not realising all the weight that I’m currently putting in it (tray, canopy, top tent) and the current suspension will sag. And with the most corrugated track! I would have to say Watagans. Not actually sure though, Thanks graham😂
2012 Hilux SR5, The Oodnadatta Track in South Aus worst I hav been on, pins and needles in the ass for most of the day, new suspension would be amazing!!
Hilux.. I've just ordered a whole kit out for the back of my Hilux with a brand new canopy from the Perth 4wd show! Minus a fridge! Our recent trip away to Mt Augustus is a prime example of not having a cold beer at the end of the day.. stinking hot day and melted ice in an esky.. after setting up camp on sundown and having that magnificent view of Mt Augustus and sitting with literally a warm beer!!
2020 Raptor mate and the road into Ningaloo Reef here in WA 😁 on a side note, thanks for all the videos. Thanks to your team I was able to save some kids from a beach bog in Lancelin. Why do I need anything...primarily because I’m a noob myself and I need all the help I can get🙏
As far as a fridge goes... Moab, Utah would be nice. However, a three or four day excursion trailing above the old mining towns around Ouray, Colorado would be special. The ability to have a fridge to keep all the goodies, including beer, nice and cold for the duration of the trip!
G'day Graham!! Love your work mate! Only a month ago a mate and I drove billygoats bluff track, while we sat on the edge of the Ridge and crack a beer I couldn't help but think how much I need a fridge!! There's nothing better then reaching into a cold fridge for a beer after a big day on the tracks! Also what I love about the mycoolman fridge is that you can take the whole fridge out the ya favourite fishing spot and you can keep on going with a battery!! Bloody awesome stuff!!
We dragged a 84 viscount onto the 14 mile beach at Warroora station with a 2wd Colorado. MET The best neighbours there and stayed two weeks. Great fishing, clear water and west coast sunsets... missed the wind too.
2015 Hilux, pick it up next week. Lost my job recently and plan to do a solo lap around Australia in 2021. Bash plates would give me peace of mind (though so would Comms). Definitely getting a puncture kit after listening to this and will have to learn how to use it.
I burried my 86 toyota 4runner in a creek one night that I thought wasn't that deep an I was the only truck an was with a razor lol I really wish I had a winch that night. But love what y'all do keep makin great videos. Hats off to u guys on some of the tracks u take an what y'all go through to make these videos
Fridge: I’m new to this 4x4 life but I’ve been watching your videos and tbh Fraser Island looks like the best place to sit back watch the sun set and crack a beer ! I’d love to go there some day , I’m in WA , love ya stuff guys !
I personally think the best place to pull up for a beer would be a nice afternoon sunset at glasshouse after tackling all of the intermediate type tracks. After a few hiccups with all the lads getting stuck, snapping bits and pieces or even a punctured tire. There’s just something spectacular about cracking open a cold one with the 4pm sun glistening off glassies gorilla rock. Cheers 🍻
I got stuck like a kook out by myself when I was 18 or 19 with a 2wd Isuzu Rodeo on some bald 33’s and a parts store shackle lift and cranked torsions. I decided I was going to be a cool guy and go blast through this local trail after a good Florida rain and boy oh boy did I find out this thing also had an open diff quick! I somehow buried it up to the hood thinking if I just went faster.... hahaha I’m thinking about that phone call now. What a rough night! I need that winch for my new rig! It’s currently in process of an engine swap (2013 F150), waiting on the new long block as we speak and this would be the perfect time to install that bad boy and relocate the intercooler with a nice new piece of kit too!
Great suggestions that make sense. My trick is to apply trail mods with vehicles in the full-size class like the Ford Super-Duty F250 or F350 (new or used), especially the older diesel models prior to emissions on them which plugged their power outputs up. Although the durable big petrol V8 engine or older V10 made for good off-road torque with hauling grace, too. Being over 6 feet tall,I like my full-size trucks better over smaller double-cab rigs due to leg room constraints, as well as headroom.
The worst track I have done in my 2005 Holden rodeo was the Cardabia-Ningaloo road!! 50km long track that takes you from the Minilya-Exmouth road to the stunning ningaloo coast line!! This took its toll on both car and boat, with canopy, bulbar, spotties rattling loose, boat and trailer moving all over the place!! This has to be the roughest 2 hours on corrugation yet so this lift Kit would go a long way!! Cheers Graham
The corrugation on the road into Weipa, in the same trip I saw a boat trailer snapped in half and my brothers GU TD42 shattered the tie rod end and lost steering while at 100km/hr on the dirt. Where he went off into the bush it was a miracle there were no trees. I've got the dash cam footage if you're interested. That same corrugation detached my UHF antenna, it was carnage.
Cobra - Mount Augustus rd. Near Mount Augustus national park . Most road that lead to that from the coast. 2012 vw amarok . Still on factory springs and shocks . Love this channel . 👍
We're going to the cape next August in our 2011 D'max solo. Thought i'd have a crack without a winch, after your comment, i think i should grab one. For piece of mind.
Going up the James Price Point road north of Broome early in the season, got through a couple of big waterholes across the road, third time was unlucky, went in and bellied the Colorado in some deep ruts, spent 2 hours trying to dig it out, water pouring into the ute. Finally someone came along and dragged me out, a winch would have had me out in minutes. I'll need one for my new Cannon ute.
Hey, I would absolutely LOVE a full set of bashplates! The reason would be that I don't have any, and it's definitely made me turn around more times than I would have liked. I have a 2014 PX Ranger XLS. Thanks so much for the opportunity!
I was on a trip with mates out bush NSW. We were in a convoy of 3, me being the last. We had four cases of beer on the back of my mates tray who was driving in the middle. I saw his tie downs coming loose then watched one case fall off followed by the other 3 over a period or 2 or 3 minutes. There was no mobile coverage and I couldnt call him because I didnt have a UHF in my car. A UHF would have come in handy then lol I eventually got him to stop with the horn but the damage was done.
Definitely needed that coolman out in Licola, perfect little camp spot, down in the bottom of B2 track on the way to Mount Margaret. There is a river down the bottom and on the 36 degree day we camped there all I could think about was a thirst quenching beer to have while sitting in the river 👌🍻
I wish I had a winch when I ran into some deep mud when going to church with my mom on her 2014 ford ranger wildtrak. I really like the videos and the kits for 4 wheel driving. The lift isnt as much of a big deal like the other mods. Thanks mates.
Graham Ive got a 2015 Dmax single cab inspired by you of course. Me and my mate were four wheeling out at glassy we came across a big bog hole just at the end of the track we were finishing, with out hesitating I didn't check the depth or what was in it and paid the ultimate price of hitting a rock that some one had rolled into the hole as a joke this punched a big nasty hole straight through the sump resulting us waiting for a tow tuck and lots of oil missing. this wouldn't of happened if I had a good quality bash plate like in this video. Cheers fellers love the content keep it up.
I just bought a brand new LDV T60 first 4x4.I would love to get into 4x4ing and camping as I got a baby on the way and would love to take him away camping for our family getaways. I don't know much about tracks as such but ive heard the Googs Track in the simpson desert is pretty damn corrugated. Love the show boys! I watch you's nearly every night. So pumped to finally get out there.
Q: 4wd I own + why I need a set of bash plates? A: Gen 4 Mitsi Pajero SWB, this channel kick-started my interest in Touring and last week I sold my previous pride and joy (Subaru Forester STI) to replace it with something that could get me a little further off the beaten track. I have some bar work and a snorkel in the pipeline but the old girl could do with a little more body protection while it waits for funding for a lift!
Most corrugated road I’ve hit is useless loop road on the way to steep point😂🙄 I think I’ll listen to you boys and put my name down for the suspension lift, started watching a while back and have already picked up my first 4x4 Nissan Navara d40 love your work boys keep it up 👍
I live in Texas but love y'alls show. I own a 2020 Ford F150 4x4. The truck I bought didn't come with bash plates. It would be awesome to get some. Over all thanks for the Entertainment and education on off roading. Keep up the awesome work.
I drive a Defender now but a few years ago we had a 2wd Colorado. We got hung up in a steep creek with a group of other families on our way to a secret waterfall in the east Kimberley. Luckily they all had winches (not all in working order) and enjoyed the exercise of pulling us out. I’d love to put a winch on our new beast to tackle the tracks of Cape York.
Re the Fulcrum lift kit, last November had Fulcrum replace the springs, shocks and bushes on my 2003 Nissan Patrol and couldn't be happier as this car took me over the Telegraph Road to the tip of Cape York and if there is a more corrugated road I haven't been on it. But now I have just purchased a brand new Ford Ranger (2 days ago) and am about to go through the setup procedure. Already ordered the Bull Bar, Winch, UHF Radio, Snorkel and a Canopy to replace the tub. Next is the LIft Kit and power in the canopy. So a Fulcrum Lift Kit from Fulcrum would be fantastic. PS: So are many great tips in this video that I saved it.
I got stuck in my old LN107 (without a winch) on my own bloody driveway after a big rain. Went to go around the corrugations to save myself from being covered in coffee and ended up dropping the left wheels off the shoulder and instantly ended up on the rear axle and front lower control arm. Lol. In the moment I lost my coffee out of the holder and it ended up through my air vents. Everything smelt like coffee for months. 😂 What a knob!
One of my biggest dreams has always been to go to the tip of cape york with a group of my closest mates. take a chair up, a few rods and definitely a cold beer. Watch the sunset and just like most times we go fishing, catch nothing. But, fishing isn's always about catching fish, its about the experience. The experience of being with your best mates making it all the way up to the tip, and taking the my coolman right to the tip with the battery pack and have perfect ice cold beer is the biggest dream ever!
2020 Hilux - have only just brought the hilux and would love to fast track some of the work needed to go off road and create memories with my daughter like my father did with me. Love your content grew up watching you with my dad and reading the 4x4 action magazines, great to see you guys still going.
2013 RG Colorado...I got stuck on ‘Bob’s Track’ in Margaret River during winter. With many solid Karri trees around that area, I would have benefited enormously from a winch. I had to walk nearly 2 hours to Caves Road and hitch a ride into Margaret River to get the Colorado sorted 😎😎
Just bought my first 4WD, a Nissan Navara D40 series 6. Bash plates are one of the first mods I want to get as I took my dad's car out to the Flinders in SA and bottomed out a few times. Did no damage, thank god, but knowing that its something I'm a bit clumsy with, definitely going to protect my own cars undercarage!!
So much sage advice here Graham. Love your canopy and would like to see one this good on my Triton (one day). I've certainly got some ideas from this video on a few worthwhile tweaks to my current setup. One thing I really hope subscribers take keen notice of is Grahams advice about where to put weight. Everything heavy in my ute is over or forward of the rear axle. With the exception of a 30 litre water tank in the back right corner. It might not seem like much, but it's too much weight in the wrong spot and does affect stability. It needs to be moved, at least to the centre line of the vehicle.
G'day Graham! Bought a 2019 MR Triton this year. The most corrugated road I've ever been on is The Gibb River Road in WA. I've moved to Cairns recently and am planning on doing the Cape TWICE next year, so I don't think the factory suspension would go too well. Awesome video, loving the channel!
i didn't get stuck but as soon as i winched my old suzuki siera up a tree for fun it just showed how good they are and now i need an winch for all my cars
1996 Ln106 Hilux - Dual cab Corrugated road - Ernest Giles up in the NT for sure. - closely followed by our driveway😂 Bash plates - Sadly did a radiator somehow when i got a rock jammed up and broke the bottom. Bash plates are at the top of my list now for a mod.
Hey lads been a big fan for years, currently in and outa hospital due to a damn infection had 15 surgerys in the last 18months. Iv just got a 2019 pajero sport my stock bash plates fell off somewhere lol so no off roading till replaced some after market ones will be awesome once im better and outa hospital again. Love ya show guys
Bash Plates - Hey Graham, we have a 2018 N80 Hilux and have just started touring Australia with our first cape trip this year. I have slowly been updating my truck but would love a set of these bash plates to enable me to tackle some of the harsher tracks. We are on the NSW north coast in one of the prime 4wd spots and these would be the perfect addition to my rig. Love the show lads! Cheers
2014 hilux Planning a trip through the Pilbara to the kimberlys Bash plates: I’m still learning to pick lines right so I’m always hitting the ground Winch: definitely need it to skull drag the Ute over a crest :) Thanks Love your work mate
When I was living in Sawmill Settlement below Mt Buller I decided to check the old track that ran alongside the Delatite River above Merrimbah in my 94 80 Series on a solo mission. Half way across the first crossing I got hung up on a river rock and couldn't move forwards or backwards. With no phone coverage and none of my mates listening to their CB's my only option was to walk 5km back to a mates place and beg for a tow out. That was the time I really wished I had a winch ;-)... Oh and in the process I managed to drop my prescription glasses in the river so had no specs for a few weeks... total Kook move ;-)
When did I wish I had a winch? When I got my HJ61 LandCruiser I got it roadworthy and got rego at 5pm, by 6pm I was bogged in a surprisingly deep bog hole. I had to wait hours for a mate to come and pull me out. After that incident I bought a cheap winch that I never managed to trust. I've almost finished restoring the 60 now after 2.5 years, it'd be fitting to put a nice winch on it this time round incase history repeats itself!
Cracking a cold iron jack out of a my Coolman fridge on the western beaches on Fraser, late afternoon while a roast is cooking , cmon Graham you know that is hard to beat!
Prado 120 Series V6, in desperate need of a new front bashplate as mine is bent to high heavens and I haven't got the money to replace it (the struggles of a uni student). Was great to see you at the Perth 4WD show Graham, cheers mate.
Man, I could do with a winch! 4 weeks ago after I put a Fulcrum 2 inch lift into my 2016 Hilux (yes I watched your DIY Video) I thought I was Mr. Invincible so I set out to do Hayden St, Mount Rascle QLD at about 5 pm... Long story short I got stuck on a rock step and after an hour of rearranging rocks to make a ramp, filling the cab with dust, tearing chunks out of all for wheels I had to humbly call up a mate to pull me out in dark looking pretty red-faced!!
It has a clearance of 37 cm underneath the diff, so I guess I can do without a lift :-)
Cheers lads, and keep on doing these great videos !
That’s why you should stop and have a walk through it lol
16 mods you can't afford on the ute you don't have.
😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
Faaaaaaaaaaacts
Some people do😂
Also unnecessary
I have a 2019 Holden Colorado. And one time I was out at the Riverstone tracks and there was a bunch of people in their underpants running towards us covered in mud and there said they where stuck. And somehow they got a brand new 4x2 Toyota hilux stuck head first into a bog hole. And we had no winch so we got a ratchet strap and hooked to the rear tow bar and tried to pull them out but no luck. And that’s why we needed a winch.😂
it will protect your death and your transmission and everything else
A Poem about BashPlates:
There once was a man called Aron
He had a Pajero called Kar-en
It was quite bare
With no under (bashplate) wear
Until Graham fixed him up with a new one
That's hilarious, must be the worthiest winner right here. Yeww
Fixed him up with a pair*
the advice from this video with the bash plate saved my paj from an oil pan delete
I wish i had communications in my last relationship.
r u ok?
+ 1 r u ok?
@@tonymiller5841 Yeah mate she was French 🤣
2015 Isuzu Dmax. Most corrugated road I’ve ever done is through the Gunderbooka National Park in northern NSW.
I would love a set of quality bash plates as I am constantly scrapping my underbody. I need to protect those crucial parts.
Check out my Facebook Page, Budget Off-Road Touring
bro! your funny! i hope you are well. my last relationship didnt have good comm either.
Would love to pull up at shaunos bar in the Vic high country for a beer, living down in Vic I often feel a bit left out in the 4wd coverage so glad you boys are able to put us on the map!
you're a good man dan, couldn't agree more
Bloody oath get this man to Shaunos
Haha shauno!!
struth!!! cold one at shauno’s 🍻 you’ll see me there yewwwwwww
also couldn’t agree more!! it’s no fraser island but the tracks down here are beaut
I dont think i ever click on thing as fast as i do when i get the notification from yous
I'd love to pull up and crack a cold one up the tip of Cape York. Has been on the list for a long time. 😍😍
Re. A fridge... a few years back, I was helping my bro on his property down Eyre Peninsula for a coupla weeks.
Tom Broad oh yeah yeah oh yeah yeah
@@hydrothirst4073 oh yeah yeah
2010 Holden Colorado, I need a good set of bash plates because of the big dint in my sump i found when dropping oils during iso haha.
relatable bro my sumps got a big boy dent think im just clear of oil pickup though
Haha same; RG and broke the front diff housing earlier this year doing Pluto Tk in the VHC. Bash plates on order now. Very expensive lesson.
If I had a fridge I would definitely pull up at waddy point Fraser Island walk up the hill to watch the wales and crack a beer
If its the 4j be careful, I would recommend replacing the sump asap, the clearance from the pick-up to the sump is minimal and will starve of oil if the dent is bad
There isn't a Z71/ZR2 version with bash plates?
Pajero, and I believe most corrugated track is Cameron's corner bordering all 3 states QLD, NSW and SA!
I love the show just as much as;
Graham loves Taylor Swift
Shauno loves Patrols
And as much as Jocko loves Ponies
Cheers guys 😁
Haha.
2010 D40 Navara. Currently on a 2" lift and is still as low as a commodore would love some bash plates!
@@GS-kh5se haha probably!!!
2013 Navvara D40. I need bash plates to keep up with my mate's 6" lifted GQ.
Nah mate you just need a Toyota haha
@@jofi7581 🤣 I don't have a spare kidney to sell to cover the Toyota and Covid Tax combo
UHF
When did i need one?
I was 4WD with my mates at a dam, fell behind and lost contact. Didnt find them for 3 hours and it was dark too.
me and my mate got lost for 3 days, lucky we found them.
2009 RC Holden Colorado
The most corrugated track we've been on is Useless Loop Road on the way to the most Western Point of Australia, Steep Point/Shelter Bay.
7:47 Graham's new D-Max?
Good story
Such a good vid, showing you don’t need the biggest lift or tires to get places. Love the work Graham.
My car is a 120 Series Toyota Prado (2004) - Stock bash plates have absolutely copped a flogging and are no longer useable, so a new set would be wonderful.
Rolled my Lux while out bush alone the uhf would of came in handy, instead I had to walk 5 hours to get to reception
Needed to say to my mate that i rolled me luxxy and for him not to come through. The UHF would have helped tonnes so I could pass the message across.
2001 hilux, my transfer case sits lower than the South Pole 😂
Why even make a Ute in to a car why don’t just drive a nomle 4wd
2005 Holden rodeo, development road up to the cape
2005 Holden rodeo, cause she likes to slide on her belly a lot
Got hung up in a hole with a really steep approach angle
After a sticking hot day driving the Tele track pulling up to the most northern point pulling up a chair, cracking a cold one and watching the sunset
Not actually sure though, Thanks graham😂
i have experienced this before
2012 Hilux SR5, The Oodnadatta Track in South Aus worst I hav been on, pins and needles in the ass for most of the day, new suspension would be amazing!!
Love from Pakistan ❤️
THANK YOU sir.
LOVE from 'OZ'.
Q: When do you wish you had a UHF?
A: Always. So I don't forget to buy bread and milk
My dad just got a 79 series so I’d I win the suspension I’ll give it to him because he needs one
You and I are the same
@@kgositheophilusbakwena3632 yeah
2020 Raptor mate and the road into Ningaloo Reef here in WA 😁 on a side note, thanks for all the videos. Thanks to your team I was able to save some kids from a beach bog in Lancelin. Why do I need anything...primarily because I’m a noob myself and I need all the help I can get🙏
my transfer hangs lower than grandads nuts on a summer's day so I'd love a lift kit or bash plates on my RG Colorado!
Love your work Graham!
Can't beat pulling up the old Army coms hill in exmouth for sunset and having a beer with a view.
Cheers 🍻
Driving all the way to sandy cape in a day to catch the sunset with all the boys on a long weekend. To crack a cold one and enjoy the night!
Prado 150. Already had one close call in the under body and don't want to stop driving the hard tracks! 🤙 bash plate needed!
Most corrugated road I’ve hit is useless loop road on the way to steep point😂🙄 I think I’ll listen to you boys and put my name down for the suspension lift, started watching a while back and have already picked up my first 4x4 Nissan Navara d40 love your work boys keep it up 👍
2011
79 series, bash plates to make sure I get home from the Cape next year. Awesome video Graham.
What a knob!
That fridge tip is legendary now I can vacuum seal ice and newspaper and keep beer cold for weeks
1996 Ln106 Hilux - Dual cab
Corrugated road - Ernest Giles up in the NT for sure. - closely followed by our driveway😂
Bash plates - Sadly did a radiator somehow when i got a rock jammed up and broke the bottom.
Pulling out a my coolman fridge and a beer on on the beach somewhere between robe and beach port is an absolute dream 🍻
I love cracking a beer at the look out at Goobang National Park just out side of Tomingley
Cheers
Fridge would be amazing, I could actually eat good fresh food on longer trips, not to mention having a cold drink always ready after/during work!

Bash plates: I’m still learning to pick lines right so I’m always hitting the ground
Winch: definitely need it to skull drag the Ute over a crest :)

My favourite spot to pull up for a beer, is a secret spot i have on the Buntine Hwy in the NT. Sitting on a beautiful escarpment with views for miles!
Prado 120 Series V6, in desperate need of a new front bashplate as mine is bent to high heavens and I haven't got the money to replace it (the struggles of a uni student). Was great to see you at the Perth 4WD show Graham, cheers mate.
I’m an apprentice carpenter with a 2009 dual cab ranger and land cruiser park tracks are awesome graham
