Here's my tip. When using Max Tracks I attach them to the back of my vehicle with para cord, so as I drive out of the mud, I pull my tracks out behind me. That way I don't have to stop until I'm well clear of the obstacle. And I don't have to dig around trying to find them.
Iv been watching heaps of the 40psi club at Fraser island and was thinking the same.
Cheers for the idea! I was just getting started on new rock sliders. Think I’m gonna put a couple rings on em to tie my tracks too!
That's a super useful tip for soft sand driving on beaches as well😎.
As an American, I watch more Aussie 4wd content than American 4wd content. Keep the good content coming.
Make this a regular series. Mods, hacks and DIY is what I trawl youtube for legends. Cheers
I agree!!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Yes!!!
Couldn’t agree more! Would love to see more of these videos.
Shauno and Graham sharing a pair of Airpods is my favourite cheap DIY mod.
More money for beers!
@@4WD247 can't argue with that logic.
Hello Dean
Loved the solar panel slide out on the Suzuki
Would totally do this on my trailer, but worried that part of the panel will remain shaded at times and drastically drop output
Wait for red dust or sand to get into those sliders
When is the farm truck Cape York episode coming out?🤠
That good that I plan on doing the same thing with my pajero
Loved the air plumbed behind the filler flap. Neat and functional.
Thanks for featuring my zook 31:05
Appearing in your video has made my sons year! Thank you so much from one extremely proud mum 😁💙
Hello Lynda
Great show guys … this was exactly what I mentioned in one of my previous comments … Well done. A cool diy mod I saw on RUclips was 100mm pvc pipe used inside the canopy in a H style pattern. The guy put a tap at one end and a pressure valve at the other. He pumped 30psi of air into the pipe and had pressurised water on tap. Great idea.
Did you guys go halves in one pair of earbuds? 😉
Good afternoon Team. I have recently retired from the Army and found your channel. I just wanted to say that I thoroughly enjoy your films. I miss my old mates from the Army but seeing you lot muck around bring back tonnes of memories of mischief and skulduggery from the buggers in the Army that I have worked with over the years. Thanks for the laughs Grahame, and thanks for the cooking tips Shauno, you are a real fitter and turner mate. I look forward to your future endeavors and laughs. Kind regards, the Grumpy old Platoon Sergeant.
Loved it!! Done a few mods on my 80 series. Made a draw for under drivers seat, twin swing out tail gate tables, fridge cage, cup and phone holders, adjustable solar panel on roof rack
Graham, I grew up on a cattle station just outside of Carnarvon, Brick House Station. The original race used to run through our property and we were heavily involved with the race, my mother in race command, our aircraft as the mobile repeater station, my father chief comms. officer along with Garry Larsen and I was in the timing office as a 9-12yro! I'm not sure how long you've been going, but I'm guessing you fell along with the bar in a show of increased confidence and exuberance one night after racing was complete? Maybe not rated to a mass quite as much as you were expecting haha. Many shenanigans have been had and will continue to be had. Hahaha, love everyone's work at 4WD 24/7.

@@ryanoneil8753 Sorry?
Lol I spent the whole Summer during the lock down in the man cave modifying my Zuki sidekick. Lifted it, new suspension, 30 inch tires and rims, snorkel ECT. Then I went camping and fishing in the bush.i could not have been more isolated being in the bush with my family. The pandemic had little effect on my sanity, being in the bush does the mind and soul good!
The Bush is good for the mind and soul, both for you and your family when you are together. Children today mostly never get to know the bush as a positive thing, only something foreign to them, something scary or uncommon to them. People who watch this channel know for a Fact that the bush and being away from the 24-7 hectic city life is beneficial to health, both physically and mentally.
Taking your kid's bush is probably one of the best things you can do for them at this point in time given the current dogma. Oh and Suzuki's can go anywhere with a competent operator even as stock standerd, a friend and I once got a Suzuki Sierra soft top up to 100 Km an hr up in the NT. And I have seen them climb some incredible inclines. Going Bush with your kids is one of the best things you can ever do for them.
@@surayagriffey1568 Amen, and there is something about cooking over a fire in the bush, the food never tasted so good, I hated to come home and hear the depressing news on the TV.
Got the twin ARB compressor mounted inside the rear panel on the 200, the air outlet beside the fuel inlet, inside the flap is brilliant. Thanks Jocko.
Awesome episode but it also reminds me of when you could take Shorty out on trips.
Yes the latest D-Max is flash but it's just not the same Graham.
Really loved the slide out solar panel set up! Our fav DIY mod has been to grab a $2 curtain rod that runs across the top of our canopy to have shop rags and paper towels on.
Great idea!
Some unreal ideas for my hzj105 that I’m building at the moment, as I’ve spent heaps on rebuilding the engine, gearbox, diffs and suspension. I’ll have to do the camping set up on the cheap and these ideas will help me achieve that instead of relying on my mates set up every time we go 4wdriving. Absolutely rate the clothes line definitely the best idea that no one thinks about.
I couldnt afford to buy a canopy for my hilux, so I learnt to TIG weld from a friend and built a full 1600mm long lift off canopy from scratch.
Favourite was the solar panel slide. Hope this becomes a series.
"epitome" love it
That was hard to listen to lol
@@wizzylizzy69 one word in the whole episode 🤣
@@westralianoffroad it was played about 4 times hahaha
@@wizzylizzy69 yeah I’ll give ya that. I thought once as a laugh was alright.
They were purposely saying it as a joke. 🤣
Another great video! Don't forget to get that maintenance you've been putting off done as well as all those great mods! Stay safe and well all
This episode reminds me of the magazine days
I loved this episode, gave me heaps of great ideas! Would love more episodes like this.
hj47 for sure. i done a delivery the other day dropping a rack for roof top tent and a little boy came out and said can i ask you something with out being rude and i said of course little mate,he said you look like graham from 4wheel action,i said thanks little mate but im much taller, he must of been 8yr old showing me his dads 80 bless him
I'd done the slide out solar panel on the roof rack of my Rangie back in 2002, but I made em easily removable so I could park in the shade and put the panels in the sun.
That was a good episode showing off the diy mods we do to our fourbys.
I've built a drawer system in the back of my fronty that combines diy with store bought. One side is a bcf drawer with fridge slide and slide out bench and the other is my own design drawer slide made from formply. I also have a party that holds my second fridge that I take out my rear seat and it fits kn neatly there.
Bloody brilliant video! WOW there are so many really clever blokes out there! Thanks for the awesome ideas! Cheers!
Was in lock down in SA but out of work as I work in hospitality. But watching you guy help past the time.
In NZ we put Vinyl or nylon carpets on mostly Hunting Vehicles Hood/Bonnet. When your cruising through the bush tracks your dogs can be up front and scent.
Man I’ve spent 12 years piling up bags and jackets to support my dog between the seat and the front center console. For my next dog I’m building that support bench ASAP! Great mods fellas!
Great inspiration, guys! I hope you keep these user submitted modifications coming.
A good clothes line idea is a magnet. Perfect for a pair of board shorts once they’re rung out, just hang them inside and they’ll dry quicker than in a tub, and won’t get forgotten.
More of this. This was an awesome vid. Thanks boys. Cheers
Hey guys really love the videos you guys make and your 4wd camping and adventures. It's really great to watch your channel. I have just purchased my first 4wd and I'm planing to build it into a turing vehicle due to me wanting to travel around Australia and see this beautiful country that we live in. Thanks for another great video and I can't wait to see the next one. Stay safe.
Thanks 👍
What a crackin' good show that was. Shauno seemed reserved from his usual cheekiness. On good behavior with no beer :)
Hi guys happy Thursday doing my head gasket an extended shackles this weekend with mates and ones a qualified mechanic so be back on the tracks in no time
Graham can you bring your mtb on a trip please? Love to see some mountain biking!
LWB GQ with sliding rear glass windows- on the fixed half i have a 250mm LED 3m taped on strip at the the top of the glass (both sides) hardwired into a switch in the dash. Super bright and mimimal shadows for using the rear at night. Also very handy to quickly check on the dogs if we are driving in the dark.
Definitely the solar panel. I’ve already ordered my slides. What a great project.
Some great ideas guys thank for sharing
Soo many great ideas, awesome stuff 👍
Mates you are awesome like always. Your show is growing so nice. I am almost 6 years with you.
love these Mods! will be implementing some!
Awesome video for some DIY inspo! Keeping the community connected by sharing everyone's ideas to get our setups the best they can be! No doubt with all the people tinkering during their lock downs, we're going to have some well setup rigs hitting the tracks once they open up! Keen for more of these style videos! Definitely gave me some ideas for my setup!
The on-board air cylinder or outlet mods were definitely my favourite and helped me come up with a plan for my rig 🍻
I've got a full bbq mounted on a fridge slide inside my canopy.. best mod ever
Love it! So many great ideas!
Perfect change up episode, many small mods good but the go with trailer build gets it for me
Dusty from WA Love your work I have a 2012 BT50 tray back the wife and I do a lot of off road trips and the one thing I put on my ute was two winches front and back so if I can’t winch out forward I can winch myself back out I have used the back one more times then I can remember. Keep tracking boy
Love that disco rear setup with the twin fridge draws 👌🏻
Awesome. Thanks again ! Building up my 2021 F150 at the house. Working from my garage, while Covid cases spike again here in SoCal. ugh ! Stay safe my friends !! Got traction boards, FRS radios, recovery straps soft shackles, adjustable deflators, etc off amazon. lol BFG KO2's next. Fox finished engineering new 2.0 coilover kit but not in production for couple months still, Thanks Corona. Grrr... I igned up for a 2 day off road course in Sept. I'm still a newb ha ha. :)
Loved all the great ideas guys pretty schmick work
some awesome mods there that have given me some top ideas to deck out the old truck but got to say that HJ47 is by far the best what an awesome rig
Fantastic!
Some great ideas in here that I will definitely be using!
Love the videos and your videos put a smile on my face every day
One of the best beers in the shed good work👍
Love all the compressor setups.
Great work boys!👍
I wanted a light bar on my ute, however with no bar work to mount it from i had to custom fab a bracket to mount the light bar in the grill of the original bumper. Looks great, and works even better
I’m finishing the build on an off-road trailer. I built a small flatbed trailer using independent suspension with brakes and I’ve mounted a fiberglass tray from a work truck to be able to store all of the camping gear for my family of four. Empty the trailer weighs about 750 pounds. Loaded it’s around 1500 pounds.
Loving the GU and 1/2! I have a ute
And 1/2 myself with a poptop camper. Drop it off, set it up and go exploring. Nice work! 🤠
Lots of great low budget ideas in this one!
Hello Matt
Motivation galore
Also, speaking of Safety Sam. KAP Industries are currently designing a fire extinguisher mount for the 60 series. So would be a good thing for Shauno to keep an eye out for!
Got me motivated to do some mods. Thanks heaps
Love this channel.
Keep the vids combing always love the vids
I like the bunnings drawer system. But the best tip/mod was the Velcro system just so simple and so clever.
Favorite ep of all time
I think all the mods are great . Everyone has there own needs .
me working on my 1995 Terrano had from new its manual taking out the box and checking all i build when i got here in 2000 yep 20yrs set up so time to do some work
The velcro mod, cheap easy and it will save me so much frustration trying to find things
One of my favourite episodes.
Great episode. Wish we had more expedition wheeling in the states.
That back door idea is tops 👌
Cheers for the shout out! Graham you're one of a few that can actually pronounce my name 😂 well done!
Hello Claudy, Really loved your D.I.Y! Is there any chance you could share how to build your compressor attachment? I'm pretty savvy but would really appreciate some expert knowledge. Melanie
I have a challenge for you guys, and it’s one I bet you won’t see coming: Lexus RX350. Mine is a 2010 model and I discovered today a switch I hadn’t realized I had: electronic diff locker switch. Now I have heard that the Lexus RX series SUV is a surprisingly capable off-roader out of the box but here are the starting stats as I know them on mine: I have just over 165,000 miles on it, it has a towing capacity of 3500 lbs with 1000 lbs of payload capacity as well. As mentioned the diff locker is already on there since it was an option on my model year. Stock ground clearance is about 8 inches or so (I’m guesstimating with a crooked eyeball). I have a 3.5 liter V6 making just shy of 300 hp. I’d imagine with a two inch lift, some skid plates, a winch, and some knobbly tires it would be a sleeper nobody would expect to see tackling Gunshot. Shauno, Graham, I challenge you guys to make your next build a 2010 or newer Lexus RX350 and break it in on Gunshot. I’m willing to bet it will blow your mind. Cheers guys 🙂
On paper it can perform well with a good driver and can go far. But a key thing it doesn’t have is a low transfer case.
Hate to tell you a rx350 is a Camry platform, also known as the k platform, not designed for off road, great vehicle in the snow and ice, but not good for off road use ..
@@rayjon237 i know its a camry platform. but its also a sleeper off road. it handles far more than it should. ive taken it on trails it was never meant for and it just eats it all up. ive taken it to off road parks, its been on the trails at Uwharrie national forest, and Musterground road. it has a ton of capability out of the box and i get a lot of people on the trail who get a kick out of seeing something different out there. dont knock it just because it isnt the norm.
Stuck in lockdown for 6weeks so we rebuilt the whole rear and of my hilux tray lights rear bar the lot 🤙🏽
Great Job Guys very good ideas :)
Graham " I never get wet "
Shauno *tries to hold in laughter* 🤣🤣

Thanks for featuring me in this episode. Keep up the Good work Boys.
"Ima have a look at shorties back door" has a completely different meaning in the states.
thank you great video
Great episode fellas cheers from the states…
Great job gentlemen.
Hello George
Tackling what i already know will be my favourite mod, warn high mount in the factory Gu winch bar keen is an understatement
Cant wait for this
I reckon under roof rack, slide out solar panel on the zook is brilliant. Up here for thinking.
Thank you for the feature boys 🙏🏻
If necessity is the mother of invention, lasiness is the father 😜
Just watched your DIY upgrades video and thought I'd show you mine. Basic at the moment but added my 12v oven, fridge and pull out 6 burner BBQ 🍻
Loved the winch Free spool switch inside the cab
Hello Double
Plenty of good tips I'll use
i liked the solar slide under the roof rack on the suziki
More videos like this!!👍
Top video boys
Loved the slide out solar panel on the Zuk
Think that one's going on the Pajero Sport
Cheers boy's
some of these are awesome.........but i would love to see more stuff that can be easily chucked in for a weekend away and removed for the daily grind with dogs in the back or loads of wood etc etc
This was great! 4wders are natural engineers, i love it! Can we get another one of these?
