For my second and third catch today was a near meet of both Amtrak California's #712 & 713 at the Stockton San Joaquin Street Station in West Stockton. The station is close to the crossing so it stays down when an eastbound Amtrak stops here. This crossing is an Old ATSF install from I want to say the 1940s to 1950s with US&S Cantilevers which you know for sure originally had Teardrop Bells and also the bells mount gives it away.
Amtrak California San Joaquins #712 eastbound arrives at the Stockton San Joaquin Street Station then departs passing through the South San Joaquins Street Railroad Crossing meeting Amtrak California San Joaquins #713 westbound arriving at the station on the BNSF Stockton Subdivision main line in Stockton, California.

I actually saw this train the same day as you did. It kinda sucks to see the SC44s replacing the aging F59s on the line. ( I caught it at North Fresno )

This is definitely a very classic signal! I originally wanted to get a train there but the station seemed to have a lot of gang activity, be careful there especially considering us railfans lug around expensive camera equipment around with us.
The station has security standing around it now for the past few times I came through here. So far it seems good but I can't say the same for the evening time.
Thats one of the sketchiest parts of the sketchiest cities in california, i absolutely hate going there

sucks that there aint no teardrop bells or at least US&S e bells. go good with US&S cantilevers. track amount signs are under the lights like canadian railroad crossings
