The first time in three years that I'm able to catch an Sacramento originating San Joaquins Train since they were shut down when the pandemic hit in 2020 and when they started back running in 2021 they had new times one 702 being to early for me and 703 coming to late at night for me which lead me to not film them at all. This day however for some reason 702 was very late and being pushed by two Siemens Charger locomotives as my second catch this day which was cool to see as I haven't caught an Amtrak train on the Fresno Sub in Stockton before. The train did a touch and go at the station for a quick stop to keep the train moving.
Amtrak California San Joaquins Train #702 southbound arrives and departs the Stockton Robert J Cabral ACE Station passing through the East Weber Avenue Railroad Crossing on the UP Fresno Subdivision main line in Stockton, California. This crossing owned by Union Pacific is an mixed install with the cantilevers and left gateless signal being an SPRR 1970s signal build install with the bell, lights, mast light heads not being original and the right gateless signal being an SPRR 1990s signal build install with its bell and lights not original. The gated masts are an UPRR late 2010s signal build install with changes to its gates.
