Just took delivery of the TR Red 5S, maybe a bit because of your video! Previously had the Red 6x but it's a bit too stiff for me on the course. I have similar speed as you and in testing found the TR Red 6S extremely stiff and it felt hard off the club face. Paired my TR 5S with a G425 Max and at 45,25" got a sw of D5. Fun fact, cut to same length with same allfit adapter and grip/griptape the TR5S is only 1 gram lighter then my Red 6X.
I have both shafts (Red original 6S and new TR 6S). The new TR in 6S paired with my Callaway Paradym AI Smoke is da bomb! I literally hit it longer than i ever did with the original Red. I do miss right with TR when i'm a little off but my misses are predictable versus a 2 way miss with the original Red. I am in love with this shaft!
I have mine arriving tomorrow. Currently gaming Hzrdus RDX red 60s so feel hopeful this works. Weight is a big deal with the Ventus I feel. Couldn’t get on with 60s blue but loved 50s blue. (Also about 100mph SS)
Fingers crossed. I’ll be interested to see how you go with it. Ventus is always a ball speed winner, but I found this one a little strong in the handle in the 6s. I’m going to see how the 5 goes soon.
Love you content! Our Club head speed is similar, I've found that I get along with an X in a fairway wood. I feel like I can go after it a bit harder when I need to with less fear of it going left. Have you experimented with X flex in your FW woods?
Interesting…. I’ve a 5S coming, hopefully it won’t be too butt stiff but yeah maybe a look at the black, even though the low/ low profile doesn’t ’normally’ Suit, maybe it will in the Ventus
My daughter was just fit into the tr red 5s. She was in a helium 5f3. Her club head speed is 90. The tr red increased her distance and dispersion and gave her a more stable ball flight!
Are you still gaming the Ventus red Or did you switch to the speeder nx? I think the Ventus red vs the speeder nx blue would be the greatest comparison of all time!
Hi mate! Thanks for your awesome job and keep going. Please make a test on Stealth2 driver head with Hzrdus smoke red, Fujikura Speeder nx red, Ventus tr red, Mitsubishi Kaili red and Graphite Design Tour AD M9003, all red and 6S. 😉
Thanks for asking but I don’t generally test more than 2 shafts at once and I don’t really test stock shafts. They are all watered down versions of the real shafts. Maybe in the future I might test some stock options.
@@SydneyGolfTech by the way, please tell me between the stock market and the aftermarket shafts, what percentage do you lose in terms of distance and accuracy?
You can add any amount of weight. It is what is suitable for the golfer. I am a club fitter and I adjust swingweight to straighten the shots for my customers.
We are a bit strange here in Australia. We measure club head speed in miles per hour (typical industry standard) but we measure distance in metres. Our golf courses are all measured in metres, so we tend to stick to that. To make things more complicated, we measure putts in feet 😂😂😂
It’s softer in the tip, but the new TR red is very stiff in the handle. How smooth a shaft is will depend on the individuals feel and how they load the shaft.
The TR is fantastic for those with a quick transition or aggressive swingers that need the handle stiffness. Unfortunately that’s not me. Higher swing speeds can also benefit from TR, which again is not me. Quite possibly I could go down in weight and pick up some speed though.
I’m not gaming the black 5S because I drive the ball really well with my red 6s. I can’t see any changes to the shaft unless the next head doesn’t pair well with it. I’m happy to look at a 2 shaft vs if you would like. Thanks for watching.

The red 50 gram line up does have a weight very close to 60 grams (59 and 59.5) so its a great option. You like the 5S paired with the G425?
@NovaScene have you tried the OG Red 6S? How would you compare the two? How' the TR Red 5S been going for you?

I hit the red in 5s in my taylormade stealth plus and tried the red tr in 5r and liked the tr the best. I have a club head speed from 103-105 average.
What’s your average carry with the tr?
I absolutely love ventus red !! You know me Greg this tickles my fancy !! I’d love to know if there’d be a difference
Definitely need to scratch that itch mate. You are aggressive enough to get a benefit from this one.
@@SydneyGolfTech I’ll have to come by soon and sus it out
I think you are going to love the Red TR 5s. My prediction is that it becomes your gamer. Unfortunately the Red TR is not available in a 5x.
I’m intrigued to try TR black 5x too.

Yes I have used Ventus red 7x in my fairway for a while. Loved it but I gave up a little in ball speed. Back in TR Blue 7S at the moment.
So you play ventus red 6s in driver and bleu 7s in fairway wood?
@@SydneyGolfTechare you still playing that shaft combo in your fairways? Any tipping? Cheers, Mate
@@lorenroot7667 I currently have a darkspeed LS with 2024 Ventus blue 7s untipped.

@Sydney Golf Tech can you compare the TR Red 5S with your OG Red 6S gamer?
Nice one GB!
Looks really good

Suit, maybe it will in the Ventus
It’s really butt stiff. I hit the 5S today and was impressed.

TR Blue has been in the bag lately and I have also had 1K Blue and NX Black on the course. Haven’t settled since leaving Ventus red.

fujikura speeder nx red vs Ventus TR Red 5 FW .... 2 of the shafts for the stealth2....which is better and what are the differences ? thx

Great review. 👍
Hi Greg, what are your thoughts on the new Ventus TR blue?
I did a review on the TR blue a year or so on my channel. Worth watching it for sure.
@@SydneyGolfTech thanks! Do you still have the red TR in your gamer?
@@mikelytwyn3578 origins red is my gamer but I’m still testing head and shaft combos currently.
@@SydneyGolfTech what weight of the TR blue did you test out Greg and what do weight is your Ventus red?
Did you end up trying the red TR 5s? Are you still gaming the red 6s?
No and no 😉 maybe I’m due for another what’s in the bag.
@@SydneyGolfTech Interesting to hear you found something better than the Ventus Red 6s based upon your review. What are you currently gaming?
@@mystikalknight I’ll reveal all soon, but I have been testing a number of combinations with the Aerojet head. Still currently in a Ventus though.
@@SydneyGolfTech Found it, Ventus Blue 6s! lol thanks, looking forward to it and subscribed
@@mystikalknight I have moved away from Ventus blue now too. It was in the bag for a few months but not any more.
What if you bumped up the SW with a little tape?
1 gram won’t make a noticeable difference to me.
You can add any amount of weight. It is what is suitable for the golfer. I am a club fitter and I adjust swingweight to straighten the shots for my customers.
These numbers don't make sense, is the distance in meters? The speed is in mph not kilometers so the distance would typically be in yards?
