- Episode 603. This Dingle Batch No. 6 Single Malt finished in Tawny Port Casks is fantastic. I'm not sure why I did not try this earlier! As for the New Zealand Scapegrace? It is good, with some very interesting oak spices near the finish. A little young though, so I'm hoping for some great notes on the next release with a bit more age. #dingle #scapegrace #whiskyneighbour

Dingle ex-b/ex-s is occasionally found here, haven't seen any other releases from them.
From everything you've said, I know I would like the Dingle Port as I'm also a BIG fan of Tomatin 14.
Keeping a watch out, just in case. If it turns up, it's coming home with me!
Scapegrace Black Gin has been around in Ontario, but not their whiskey...yet.
Looks like your temps have dropped to a more reasonable level. Glad to hear it. Now you can enjoy being outside. I'm much happier in the low 20s as well. This 33C with +40 humidex got old FAST! Finally easing off over the next few days.

Like my standard triple distilled Dingle Single Malt aged in bourbon and sherry casks! The Cask Strength Batch 6 is still available on their website for 150 Euros!

Dingle is amazing. Delicious! Love this expression. I got it on a trip to visit my husband's family in Ireland. The distillery tour is awesome! I don't mind the Scapegrace! I don't mind getting roughed up a bit with a young single malt once in awhile! Best with a terrific higher ABV Islay!! If it's the same distillery they make terrific gin! Fab video Jon! Cheers! :-) Not sure if you have seen/tried the Crown Royal Single Malt. I think it's a new release. I haven't had any but my husband is not impressed. Let me know if you have tried it! Tonight he's having more fun and enjoyment with an Ardbeg An Oa that he got last week at the BC Liquor Branch's Special Release Day!
I love Ardbeg of any kind! I have not had the Crown Royal Single Malt, but your husband's reaction more what I hear too. Not great. Glad you like the Scapegrace, I feel like there are lots of good flavors there, just a little rough up front. Cheers!
@@WhiskyNeighbour Like you I am a dye hard Ardbeg fangirl! Joel reiterated last night to save the $$ on the Crown Royal Single Malt. But hey for newbies to whisky he said it might be nice to serve. @@christinecamley Summer is a great time when the kids come home from school. Suddenly so much more life in the house! I have had Loch Lamond and an excellent 12 year for sure. Yes a bit of smoke it it reminds me more of Craigellachie than a heavier peated dram. Worth trying for sure.

I've never had a whiskey from New Zealand I'll search for one. More for novelty it doesn't sound stellar to me.
Certainly some enjoy this more than I did, but right now, more of a novelty!
