    Love, love , love all of them! Silver is my favorite metal. Would rather wear silver than gold. Like you, I am always looking for the older, hand forged pieces.

    Hi Sandra! I love your videos❣️ I think the pearl and unknown stone bracelet may actually be slices from a conch shell? The beautiful cream and pinky-peach colors with the swirl remind me of that shell. Definitely an awesome haul. Have a great week!

    Hi Sandra. i am such a fan of your videos! I have learned so much from you so thank you for what you do. The turquoise ring near the end is set with a technique called intarsia stone inlay. Can't wait for the next video!

    The abalone jewelry is gorgeous, especially the brooch. It's simplicity in design really shows off the beauty of the shell. The Celtic knot is lovely. I especially appreciated the little locket, what sweet pictures. Always love to see the charm bracelets.

    Cuff links. Unfortunately, men do not dress in the exquisite way once expected of them. Tuxedos are only worn for weddings, and mostly rented. My first husband was a military officer now retired, we were expected to attend some type of formal function monthly, weekly depending on the season and the soldiers occupation. I absolutely loved the formal era and am waiting for it to circle around again. My current husband has three tuxedos in his closet. I have a mountain of formal evening gowns. Tea dresses galore. The age of elegance has left us unless you are a movie star or fabulously rich. How the women would glitter and the men have so few ornaments to wear. The cuff links and tie clips (civilian wear) were the dazzlers for men. So exquisitely made. I collected tie clips for a while, such an interesting piece of jewelry to keep your tie out of your soup! Lol
    Enjoining your channel, new to it.

      So, so true. My husband wears cufflinks very occasionally on his business suits. I love the oldskool dress - hats and suits for men, dresses and heels for women. Times certainly have changed! It’s not unusual to see people at a funeral wearing jeans! Times have changed… it’s more of a come as you are world now. Maybe that’s better in certain ways? Don’t know. Cheeeeeeers!!!

    I think the beads in the bracelet at 11:20 are a type of coral, maybe Angel Skin?. The inclusions look very much like those in the beads of my red coral necklace.

    Happy Halloween Ms. Funky Pickle Thrifter! Not 100% certain but you never know. The stone in the necklace at about 12:00 might be a natural stone that is mined in British Columbia, Canada. Look up Ocean Picture Stone. One of my all time fav`s.

      @@TheFunkyPickleThrifter You are most welcome. Even if it is not that stone...it would be worth checking out as some very interesting pieces are coming onto the market with it. It has only been a few years since it was discovered by a prospector who has a youtube channel that I have followed for years. (I`m a rock hound, gold flake and a crystal nut lol) I watched the episode when he found it, and got so excited I had to go and see it in its raw state. Breathtaking as it is...Beautiful, Beautiful as our Nurse Flipper would say ;) You all Rock🤩💍📿🥰 Oh...Dan Hurd Prospecting is his channel. He`s refreshing...get a kick out of him.

    Hi! Happy Halloween 🎃 The mallorica bracelet is beautiful. No, they are not real though. They use a process to cover a glass ball with nacre and fish scale they layer it in.

    I believe the piece with the inclusions may be Tagua nut. It looks like it when it is sliced and made into jewelry. Don't you just wish jewelry could talk? It would be so neat to know who owned it, what their life was like, etc etc...

    • @TheFunkyPickleThrifter
      @TheFunkyPickleThrifter  Год назад

      Agreed! I wasn't thinking tagua nut, but it's possible -- somebody else said that too. I'll have to look with my loop. They usually have stripe-y looking things... Thanks so much for your input, always appreciated. Cheers, SANDRA
