I remember those little character statues from the mid-1970s in Hallmark. They could have been around before, then, though... very 1960s/70s. I remember "independently" shopping when I was 10 or 11 for gifts for my mom and dad and loved those little types of things that were 'allowance' friendly. 😅 ~Laura ❤
Oh my goodness ❣️ you found lots of great things 👍 Jami I really love the blue and white clock and the light house and sailboat ⛵ plates. Zeb found a few great things too 😉 like the tall glass with the Sea shell led that's so cool 👍😍 Jami the glass candle holder I think it's crystal. A lot of great finds 👍🥰❤️
Jami, the domed flower box was for note. Paper and envelopes. I have it and used up all of the paper. Now it is a trinket box. I do love that blue and white clock! You guys did well, even if it did take four stops!
I thrifted a full set (over time) of the German saucer Zeb found. We use them as our everyday dishes. I feel so fancy now 😆 I smile every time I look at them
yes, when she hit the crystal together on the shelf it makes a beautiful bell sound, but recommend the pluck test too. Best to do the pluck test while not holding the item because sometimes the vibrations will be "interrupted" by the way a piece is held. Hopefully that makes sense.
*Jami, you can also wet your finger and press it on the lip of the crystal or glass item and keep circling your wet finger around and around. If the piece is crystal, it will begin to "sing" as you keep moving your finger‼️😉*
*Jami and Zeb, you found some AWESOME things this week❣️ My favorites are the Tall and Slender Godinger creamer, the GORGEOUS Original Fall Trees Oil Painting from 1940 with the gold plaster frame, the crystal and glass sugar/creamer sets, the wooden antique clock, the blue and white ceramic clock, the white nativity set, the artichoke plate, the 2 Warren Kimble plates, the rose blossoms china teacup with its darling 3 little legs and its matching roses saucer. WHEW❣️ What a FUN LIST‼️. PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT PAINT THE ANTIQUE WOODEN CLOCK❣️❣️❣️ And FYI, Jami, regarding the glass and crystal sugar and creamer sets: I come from an Antique Dealer's background, and sugar bowls from that era in the sets you bought did not have lids. 😊 WOW‼️ THEY SURE ARE PRETTY and are from the Depression era - 1930's❣️ And the crystal (I think it may be glass - I would have to see it in person to be sure) candle holder for 2 candles (with the pretty finial in the center and the etching on the base) is very old. It's most likely from the 1930's or very early 1940's before WWII ended. 😊 Hope this is helpful information for you; I don't want you to "give" those things away, by not charging enough‼️😳😉*
I wish we had a DI thrift store here on the East Coast. The Goodwill over prices their "free donations" i craft as well and usually can find some great wreaths to take apart and redo to sell.
Seth Thomas clocks, they now have a mini museum. Waterbury CT was the brass center, Waterbury brass made buttons that were used in the civil war uniforms. There are some beautiful Victorian homes in Waterbury but the mill rate is so high the homes are suffering.
Wow, that All American canner was an amazing find! Those little statues with funny sayings were popular in the early 70s. About the frame that doesn’t have the stand, you could buy a really cheap on the same size and swap them out. I wish you would have gotten the painted clock, it looks Swedish.
I’ve had my Presto canner for 12 plus years. I can a ton and all year round. I’m only now on my 1st replacement gasket and the canner is still in awesome shape. I paid only $79 for the canner. The gasket just needs oiling every third use. Presto has been around for a long time for a reason. At 68 years old I couldn’t even pick up the All American empty..😂 Good price on the All American though.
Awww thank you I dont feel younger. Especially now that we have two adult children and my second to the youngest just turned thirteen. Most days I’m just tired lol.
DI is one of the cheapest thrift stores I have ever shopped. Most people watching are blown away by their low prices. Occasionally there are a few things I wish were lower. But I’m happy with their pricing.
I am surprised you are finding inexpensive items for resale at your thrift shop! For the last 5 to 10 years the thrift shops I've been to are very very aware of resellers and check any item that might look remotely valuable up online and they even have some former resellers as the clerks/cashiers and mark the prices up! I'm not a reseller. The Goodwills I've been to, it's not one of more favorite stores, overprice everything whether it's junk or not. You 2 must be fortunate enough to be going to those stores where the sorters and clerks are clueless about pricing!
Excellent motto, “If at first you don’t succeed, shop, shop again!” Love it!
People not being able to buy your finds quick enough before they sell out is a great problem to have, I'd say! I'm glad your finds are so popular.
It’s good but I always feel bad if it’s something they really wanted. So we’re always trying to find more of the popular items.
You make me love Mondays! I look forward to it every week! And Wednesdays, and Thursdays and Saturdays!!❤😂❤! Lol
@@sillimichelle thanks for supporting us!
Love the blue and white clock and the artichoke plate 😍
I like Mondays with you guys! 😊
You two are the best shoppers and you shop with a great attitude Thank you for sharing😊
That bright basket next to the elephant looked like it might have been really cute.
The etched two handle is an open sugar that goes with the creamer you picked up.
Yes, and I don't believe those type ever had lids for the sugar dishes if I'm not mistaken.
Yes, open sugar.
*Yes, you are BOTH CORRECT, LOL. 😉*

Woo hoo on the canner! I have had mine almost 50 years.

I found small afghans work well on Sunday Mornings. Especially if you’re seated under a vent! In a dress my legs get cold.
The cows are my favorite 😍
Those blue flow tea cups are amazing. I love blue flow. Don't have anyblue flow, but I love them.
So much goodness! Love all the finds
You got some beautiful stuff. Thank you for sharing.
You thrifted some great stuff ! Thanks for sharing 😊
Jami, the pc that matched the cut glass creamer is an open double handle sugar
*Yes! That IS a double-handled sugar bowl. You beat me to telling Jami that, LOL. 😉*
Aw! The cows are so cute.
LOVE the big black clock...
I agree good reason to go shopping again!
Gorgeous afghans!!!!

I love that! Eat off the fancy dishes. Makes life fun.
A good rule of thumb to check if something is crystal is to pluck it with your finger if it rings it is crystal. the last store you cleaned up...

I recently found your channel and love how disciplined you are and how you work together as a team.
I have 2 All American canners and I love them. What a deal. ❤

3rd store was a charm!!
The funny little statutes were around in the uk when I was about 12 and I’m 54 now😂❤
Please demonstrate what a French country pumpkin would look like.
Kmart had some good Christmas ornaments!
Seth Thomas clocks, they now have a mini museum.
Waterbury CT was the brass center, Waterbury brass made buttons that were used in the civil war uniforms.

Awesome video ❤️❤️❤️
We have KMart in New Zealand thank goodness but I wish we had Thrift stores like you have 🤞😍

I saw something blue & white on your short video. Couldn't see what it was. Darn it!
There was a clock and some cup and saucers
Those little statues were big in the early 70’s.
Thanks for sharing!
i love the piggy bank. have you ever considered having a piggy bank for you craft kit project? i can never find them
We usually make what we create. I don’t think we could make those. If i could source them already made that would be good.
Love to watch you thrift!
Zeb you should've gotten that woven basket next to the elephant.
😮😮 wooow. In my hometown laredo tx goodwill its more expensive than walmart...no kidding
Same in Phoenix area. Very discouraging.
The doubled handled glass piece is an open sugar bowl. Not all silver-plate is created equal. The heavier pieces are usually higher quality.
*Correct, Barbara. 😊*
It's summer guys, people are having garage and yard sales and flea markets ! That's where all the goods have gone !😊

You aren’t kidding lol. We have a double canner and it’s so heavy. But it does 14 quarts. I have had it almost 20 years I think and we love it
Way do I feel like Jami is aging backwards? 🤓😍🙌😘
Awww thank you I dont feel younger. Especially now that we have two adult children and my second to the youngest just turned thirteen. Most days I’m just tired lol.
Great haul
I'm interested in the painting from the 40's , how much will you be selling it for?
I’m not sure yet. I will have to look it up
Jami, K Mart is gone and I think Sears finally closed up for good too. J C Penny and Macy's are teetering on the edge.
All thanks to Walmart!
No Kmarts in North Dakota anymore
What was the name of the pressure canner ??
FYI, Jack in the Box is coming back to the Chicago area 2025! YAY!
Yay!!
How to find your selling sites?

😊👍👋
Did you find a bike?
No but I’m sure he will. Zebs always shopping 😂😂
Di.. is so expensive sad that the church raised their prices
