I have taken this magazine for over 23 years and still look forward to every issue. I have subscribed to many others and let them go but I will always love the beauty and care put into every issue of this magazine. I especially love the British issue each year as my youngest daughter and family lived in England for 16 years and I have such fond memories of my many visits there Thank you "Victoria".

Loved your video and wise parental thoughts. Your message resonated with me today as my wonderful 14 year old daughter, in her rush to get out of the house to meet the school bus this morning, knocked her heavy violin music stand into my antique fire screen and then sent a glass jar of salsa crashing to the stone kitchen floor as she rushed for the hand sanitizer . She apologized on her way out the door, but I did not see the mess immediately...until I came back home from walking her to the bus stop and then had steam coming from my ears! I was also abrupt with her this afternoon and apologized this evening, as we had a good talk on the importance of getting things prepared the night before so tornadoes are not produced on school mornings. Kudos! Your new viewer, Paige

Hello Mary, It is always a pleasure to visit with you and I loved this book review. Somehow you always remind me of me. I was going to put off decorating for Christmas until after Thanksgiving this year however after listening to you.....your right! I think this year we can all use some softening of our hearts and remind ourselves of the true meaning of Christmas. Peace and Love. PS: I love Roscoe! I would purposely leave my bathroom sink dripping because that's the best way my kitty enjoyed his water! Somehow he ruled the roost!! LOL! Have a wonderful week! Hugs! :)

Seeing these books has really given me the inspiration to go ahead now and get it done, so that I can relax during the Holidays also. I would like to see some great recipes that would be good neighbor gifts and prepped and ready to go in case friends should drop by. The roses are beautiful and are a visible reminder to stop and smell the roses along the day.

That book was gorgeous, thanks for sharing. I don’t do Christmas till the day after Thanksgiving.Rarely do I repeat anything, that I did the year before, that’s not to say I get rid of it ,I just change rooms,or places where I use it .But I keep a list of anything I need to buy ,so it doesn’t take me long to decorate,I do decorate the outside the week before Thanksgiving, because we have our outdoor lighting party.Thanksgiving night We have leftovers from lunch and friends just show up ,we started that when our grandchildren were little. It took me years to learn to be Good to my self and to give myself Grace .So I could enjoy both Holidays. I realize everyone else was going places, having fun with friends except ME ,I have no guilt about it now .I can’t say I always loved Thanksgiving and Christmas because I was exhausted, and missed out on going or doing things I wanted to .Things change with age and so did I ……..🎈 You deserve the roses ,they were perfect with that room 🍃

I have to say of all the books you share with us each week this Victoria traditions is on the top of my list of favourites, I just adore the beautiful photography. I have lived in 10 different countries in my 73 years so that has included many a Christmas and taken in the many ways it has been celebrated even in Singapore with little colorful Chinese lanterns put on the small Christmas tree. The Dickens style christmases celebrated in my home country of England 🇬🇧. Because you call your video "The Tarton Topary " I'm wondering if you have a scottish ancestor in yours or husband's family. I look so forward to your book reviews every week, take good care until next time.

That was lovely. I have started re watching a few old ytube Christmas videos. Kirsten and Joerg on their Christmas trip into York in the U.K .visiting the German Christmas shop. Then Miranda Mills walking around Castle Howard looking at the amazing Narnia display. Must be one of the best they have ever done. I think with everything happening in the world, perhaps preparing for Christmas a little earlier is a good idea. Thank you for your wonderful videos, you have a beautiful home.

Mary, I bought the book you recommended on Christmas Traditions when you featured Part 1 off Amazon. It was a little cheaper than you had said and so I treated myself. I have enjoyed it so much that I will be decorating for Christmas before Thanksgiving for the first time. I agree it will be more festive at Thanksgiving and give me a chance to sit back and relax to enjoy the Christmas season with a few more things already done. I love your videos it relaxes me to hear your voice and your slow southern draw. I’m a southern girl too so no pun intended. Thank you for all the time you put into your UTube videos.
