No plastic. No blow ups all over the yard. No Christmas sweaters that light up. It is very nice to see someone decorate classy and still festive for christmas
I accidentally poked a hole in the neighbor’s 15’ plastic blow-up Rudolph with flashing lights and sound that played 24/7. I apparently was wandering around my block in my pajamas, snow boots, and puffer jacket with a big nail in my pocket one December about 11 years ago! Just a vague unfortunate memory. 😳 So glad my mishap remains a mystery.
I was smiling throughout the whole tour. Brian’s excitement and Christmas spirit was so beautiful. I connected to his comment that he buys what he likes then finds a place for it. His home is so magical with eye candy everywhere. Thanks Brian, Merry Christmas.🎄
This was a delightful tour. I appreciated his humor, sweet demeanor, and exceptional taste in decor and fashion. Also, can we all agree Oatsy was the best part? Her calm and loving personality is proof that a beautiful and joyful environment completely influences our lives. ♥️
What a lovely thing(s) to say Angela .... so refreshing to see. A positive and gracious thought shared. I too love this episode of Homeworthy, I found Brian's narrative joyful, honest, intelligent and fun - thank you for sharing your home with us. It was a pleasure
I've been having trouble getting in the holiday spirit this season after the death of my mom and my beloved 13 year old cat. This home tour has inspired me to pull the decorations out and get decorating! Thank you for this lovely tour!!! ❤
I understand how you are feeling right now, my condolences. Good for you to take care of yourself and decorate! Your mom and kitty would have loved that! Mom, because she'd want you to be happy and kitty because he/she would love to knock the ornaments off the tree!
God bless you Ann. Your mother would definitely want you to pull those decorations out and allow yourself to embrace life. She's smiling down at you from heaven 🙂
Your mom and your kitty are still with you in spirit. Holiday decorations bring good memories - enjoy them and don't forget to create something new and special this year. Life goes on, it is up to you to find ways to enjoy the seasons and your time on this earth. Leave a little sparkle everywhere...:) and celebrate whenever you can. Honor their memories and think about the wonderful times you had together. Best wishes for the holidays and going slowly forward.
This man is so lovely and so animated. He is so charming and snuggly in his plaid pants and cable knit sweater. Everything about this house is to die for. The collections are curated in such a way one would believe he has lived here forever.
This man could have his own television show! What a great guy he has for Antiques, and putting them together in just the right fashion. I have watched this video numerous times and see something special each and every time I see it. Please consider doing more videos. I would love to see any recipes you might use during your entertaining. I bet it is fabulous. Thank you so much for giving us a glimpse inside your beautiful home.
This was such fun. First of all, Brian clearly loves his home and knows his own style. Second of all, Brian has excellent taste and is an amazing decorator and his home proves it. Thirdly, I am so thankful to find out that I’m not the only weirdo that puts custom stationery with my farmhouse’s name on it in our guest bedroom. I could watch hours of Brian - he comes off as ver cheeky and charming!
Such an interesting, fun gentleman - love his passion for his home and Christmas! I especially appreciate how beautifully he designed his kitchen with the wood counters and brick floor, the incredible story of how he bought the house and could see its bones, the cedar bannister garland, the bedroom wallpaper, all the meaningful family things, the choice of Farrow and Ball paints, bamboo chairs at the antique dining table, the antique look ribbons, his auction habit…and I haven’t even finished the video yet. LOL - all my beds are the smaller French antique ones so I get the comment on not having queen - love the faux bamboo one!
Anyone else wish to be invited to Brian's Christmas party? 🙋♀ What a stunning, classy, but inviting home. Next time I'm down in Old Town I hope I see this lovely old lady of a house. Thank you for sharing this with us.
I love Brian!!! What a beautiful home that he has made for himself. I had a laugh when he said he's too cheap to hire someone to paint...he's a brother in spirit on that one!
This is the best Christmas present! Not only is his home spectacular, Brian Branton is incredibly charming and likable. I enjoyed every second. Merry Christmas and thanks for a wonderful tour.
I've decided I'm going to make a concerted effort to watch this video annually to inspire and put me into the spirit of the season. There is such a genuine charm to Brian's character. He knows what brings him joy and there is nothing pretentious about his home. Thanks for today's tour. Merry Christmas! Darryl
I would not consider myself a maximalist, BUT there is not one corner of Bryan's amazing Alexandria home that does not delight! From the painting of Oatsie with the ever-present ball in her mouth, to the gallery walls full of sentimental pieces this man knows how to make a house a home. LOVE the original white color on the walls of the living room and the stationery for the guest room (pen and stamps included) - just one more special touch that is inimitably Bryan. Thank you!
What a home! I loved it Brian Brandon. You are an extremely talented young man indeed. You could be an interior designer or a curator of a museum house in a flash. Pure talent!
I absolutly love this! It’s one of the very rare true and authentic homes , it is so obviously him! So comfortable, colorful, unique and beautiful. Love the cute dog!
I live for this channel! The wreaths take my breath away! I lived in Alexandria. They have the most beautiful historical homes. It reminds me of the holiday historical tours in Madison, GA and Atlanta, GA. This is the best channel. I know the holiday smell of the cedar in your home is magnificent. Yes, diamond testing was done by edging the windows. That nativity is stunning!
Agree with Theresa, this literally made me smile and laugh out loud. I watched every single second and lapped it up. Will watch it again. Brian is a lovely gentleman and his enthusiasm is infectious. Wish he could come decorate my house!
I'm so delighted to see Brian showcased here! I have followed him for a few years. Such a lovely, genuine man. Appreciating his gorgeous decorating has brought joy to my own holidays. Thank you, Brian, for sharing your home and passion for decorating! 🎄Merry Christmas!
I watch and/or listen to 99% of RUclips videos at 2x speed. Within 90 seconds I realized I had to watch this in normal speed and often had to rewind to reabsorb the beautiful rooms. What a beautiful home he’s created. Masterpiece!
I too thought they were going too fast! And seriously wonder what kind of camera they are using. I'm not a videographer by any stretch but there always seems to be something glitchy and hard to watch about their videos! Camera person please SLOW down.
@@lyric8529 I’m not quite sure what you are referring to. The video was fine at normal speed on my end. It’s just that I normally listen to most videos (news, commentaries by various folks, and even decorating videos, etc., at 2x speed), but his house was just so warm and lovely that I had to enjoy it at normal speed. Just so you know, you can also slow the video down far below the normal speed as well, but I have to turn the volume off as I can’t listen to the sound of slow videos.
I also display my old Christmas cards year after year. They get pinned to a wide red ribbon that is hung vertically on the wall. He made me so happy when he pointed his cards out!
He’s so lucky to have such a large number of happy memories! What a joy he is. He makes me want to be his best friend. Or at least come back as his dog.
One of my favorites on this channel! His delightful and charming home, his welcoming personality - you can just see yourself over for dinner and cocktails, having a nice time. I love seeing homeowners incorporate childhood treasures into their home.
What a stunning home and I love all of the collections and how well presented they are. So fun to see how someone else decorates for Christmas and some of the stories behind the sentimental pieces used. Plus a huge shout out to Oatsy for how well behaved she was throughout. I can't imagine either of my two terriers not bringing a tree down or something if ever filmed!
Wonderful home! It’s so lovely to see someone who loves his home so much, that it still excites him to tell the story of his home. His personality and style shine throughout the home. You can tell he comes from a very loving family and that Christmas holds very fond memories. This is exactly how it should be!
Such a lovely home, and such a charming man. Wonderful sensibility. I'm grateful to have been introduced to the movie The Gathering, starring Ed Asner and Maureen Stapleton. It's available on RUclips!
If I saw this house as the law firm, I would’ve turned around and walked right out the front door. It amazes me the vision that you had and what you did with this place. I absolutely loved your gallery wall. I loved Katherine Hepburn’s table and the picture of her on it. I think my favorite room of the house was the living room and my daughter loved your library. Thank you for sharing. One more thing,I loved the portrait of your dog.
Brian, you are a gem! Your spirit is infectious, your decorating exquisite and your soul sings in your home. You go to great lengths to make others feel important to you and at ease. Any one would be fortunate to be your friend and share your joy with you. You made my Christmas a little bit happier! Thanks so much for sharing! Have a blessed Christmas!

His Home is Charming! Kind of American version of English Country. Elegant, yet Cozy and Inviting. Not sure they get Snow down there but - that would be a stunning Snow day to spent in this house!
What a handsome host, and very well dressed "for the party"! 😍 Thank you, Lord Brian, for inviting us into your lovely home, and gracing us with your presence. Merriest Christmas to you and yours🎄 Washington State💋
I saw this video lot of time. Everytime it's make me feel to found authentic Christmas shop in a old town . And sit in sofa look the snow outside and have a good playlist with a warm drink... I love these momemt 1 million time more than the Christmas day . Preparing Christmas is a confort break time .... what a majestic home tour
Wow, this house is so beautiful. I love every room in it. Brian is extremely talented and very creative. I love that he is so sentimental about his childhood and things that he grew up with. He has a great sense of humor too. One of your best videos. Thank you 😍
This was just what I needed to get in the spirit of the season! My husband and I are getting over (what I feel) is the worst cold in the world. As a result, I haven't been able to even start my Christmas decorating and it's made me more than a little depressed. We currently live overseas (Germany) and this is the time for Christmas markets and fests. Being sick has taken that joy away right now, and the clock is ticking. But I came upon your video while I drank my cup of tea. You brought me back into the season! Your home is a pure delight. We are "clutter" people. After 35 years of marriage (half of those living in Europe working for the government), we amassed quite a fun and quirky collection of vintage and antique, items (including ornaments). My husband declares that he's hard-pressed to actually see the wall behind all the treasures I have hanging. I spent 7 years working in Alexandria and my husband in DC. So, we are no strangers to that wonderful area. Brian thank you for sharing your lovely home with us and bringing back my spirit of Christmas! BTW, Schönbrunn Palace really does look like that, but it's about three times as wide as Mount Vernon. I guess there's only so far you can stretch a building size on a glass ornament. 😊
YOUR FEDERAL ARCHITECTURE HOME IS SUBLIME.! OH, TO BE A GUEST WOULD BE DEVINE. YOUR HEART WARMING TALE EXUDES YOUR TRUE LOVE OF CHRISTMAS AND YOUR ECCLECTIC COLLECTION OF ANTIQUES ART, BOOKS , DECOR, AND TREASURED MEMENTOS ARE DELIGHTFUL!. I AM STILL LAUGHING WITH DELIGHT WITH EACH AND EVERY CORNER. EVERY ATTENTION TO DETAIL IS NOT TO BE MISSED. I AM A DECORATOR AND ONCE OWN😢ED A CHRISTMAS SHOP. AT 74, I STILL HAVE A TREE IN EVERY ROOM. THANK YOU HOMEWORTHY, FOR SHARING HIS FAMILY HOME. AS USUAL, YOU DID NOT DISAPPOINT! THANK YOU BRIAN, FOR SHARING1
Ok, O…M….G…. This was THE MOST gorgeous home - what a tour with all those antiques- he is so incredibly talented I was just ohhhing and awwing the whole time. I also loved how beautifully organic and old fashioned he decorated for Christmas- didn’t miss a thing. Some people just ‘have it’ and Brian is one of those people!
I hope you wait awhile before changing out your bedroom paper. I think it is marvelous!. Closeup it has texture from the inks which is so rich. And I love that the trim is not too matchy. The pattern is bold but subtle at the same time. Also love the beautiful citrus on the tree on the excellent green room off the kitchen. The whole tree has a wonderful glow. I guess you succeeded in your goal because I'm a 70 year old woman. I'll have to watch this again. Thank you.
I love your home. I love all of the combinations of colors and textures. It is beautifully done. I find myself disappointed when I look for Christmas decorating inspiration on RUclips. This channel truly showcases lovely homes. Not homes that are trying to follow a trend. Homes that are loved and lived in and tell wonderful stories. That is how I try to decorate my home. I feel much a kin to you when you said, “If I love something I buy it and try to find a spot for it”. I hope that someday my home, although probably done on the lesser budget, will have a similar feel of warmth and coziness. Thank you so much for sharing your home. I just loved it.
Hi, I'm a 70year old granny from Germany and just watching this. He seems a bit crazy but in such a nice way. I like him so much, he makes me smile. And I like the sweet little dog, too. Such a colorful home, it's such a joy and a pleasure to "walk" through the rooms. Let me say Thank you for sharing this with us (please excuse my poor English).
Loved his joy about Christmas, and that he decorated for the enjoyment! Wow a beautiful home! A revisit for his next seasonal decorating would be great!
The pineapple is the symbol of Southern Hospitality! I'm obsessed with this house! Gorgeous! I love this man's enthusiasm and passion for his home and decor!
The Gathering...I love it with Ed Asner. And they had part 2 when the wife met someone else after her husband died. What a great movie and so good, I bought the DVD's.
I enjoyed the stories you added with certain pieces in your home. You are a joy to watch and listen too and your house is beautiful and homey. Thank you for the tour!
❤️ I absolutely LOVE his eclectic and cozy style of decorating. He has a great personality too, and is very entertaining. I love his love for his dog. 🐕 😊
what a charming man. I like his taste so much that If he abandoned the house I could move in without changing a thing. I am sad he is changing the bedroom wallpaper, but I envy his Hepburn piece. Thank you for the programme and a to the owner for sharing his lovely space.
Great episode! I love getting a peek into these amazing homes as if I were a guest in their home and hear their stories and see their ideas and collections making their homes so special and unique. This is one of my favorite shows and I’m always excited for another episode. I’m also so glad they are not short. I like having longer episodes and longer tours and interviews. You’re doing an amazing job!
What an absolute gorgeous home. When he was explaining about the color in the living room I waited with baited breath to see what color that Coral is and he never said it love how it went with the soft Gray beautiful combination. Especially curated all the items very Tastefully done home 👍
Utterly charming home and homeowner! Oatsie's portrait at 23:34 and the WOW bedroom shot at 30:00 were especially gorgeous! YES to being obsessed with Christmas, books in every room, buying one-of-a-kind treasures even when broke, and doing whatever it takes (painting three times, redoing wallpaper, and even buying a whole new house!) to create a living space that feels just-right. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home! 🎄❤🎄
Just want to thank Brian for mentioning the Hallmark movie The Gathering. I just watched it on youtube... loved it.. cried and felt warm all over. Thanks Brian

Horrible thing to share and "be proud of". You want traditional christmas but behave like the grinch.

In the first moment, his front door shows off a plastic fruits wreath.
❤ Somebody please give this man his own weekly show! We need more, more, more, more, more of his decorating tips and style for the whole year ❤
Yes, I agree, and he’s very amusing and personable.
I agree!!!!
I was smiling throughout the whole tour. Brian’s excitement and Christmas spirit was so beautiful. I connected to his comment that he buys what he likes then finds a place for it. His home is so magical with eye candy everywhere. Thanks Brian, Merry Christmas.🎄
Me too. I kept smiling and the more he talked about his home the more I smiled. He is magical❤️

Watching this with my puppy sitting on my lap he unfortunately weighs 85 lb.

This was hands down, my favorite episode so far - the owner brings love and joy to his home through design, and with a sense of humor ❤
Beautiful home ❤ I love his honesty about not letting anyone touch his tree decor and painting his own home.
Love that Brian saved his grandmother's crewel needlework piece. Love this esthetic!!
What a lovely house, what a charming owner. I loved this Christmas story. ❤

Thank you.
This guy is adorable, & his home is amazing ❤
I'm in love with everything here, including the sweet dog! How cozy and beautiful. You can see the love put into it ❤
Speaking of Rappahannock, my youngest daughter lives in Little Washington.....my goodness. We have crossed paths so many times...warm hearts..
I love the story about the Mt. Vernon ornament from Austria!
I think Brian is awesome, love his Christmas, a lot of similarities in my decoding,, ❤
The whole house is a jewel box! Also, imitating Gil Schafer is a good thing. I love his magnificent architecture! Bravo to everything you've done!

Your English is far better than most American citizens . Loved your comments .
Loved his joy about Christmas, and that he decorated for the enjoyment! Wow a beautiful home! A revisit for his next seasonal decorating would be great!
Brian Branton, I don't know you but I adore you! Your home and energy can only be described as fun and fabulous, thanks for inviting me over!
Love it! It doesn't look like Santa threw up in there. Very classy and cozy and whimsical. Beautiful home❣
The pineapple is the symbol of Southern Hospitality! I'm obsessed with this house! Gorgeous! I love this man's enthusiasm and passion for his home and decor!
Love everything, Brian, his dog, and his entire home. So much care goes into it all and it all looks just right in his home. Merry Christmas, Brian!
I follow Brian on IG, and I have always loved his style- I love every little detail! And he seems like such a genuine nice person

Love this home! Great decor. U r a great painter too! Pro job! God bless, Merry Christmas 🎄. John 3:16
what a charming man.
That wallpaper in your bedroom is gorgeous. Such a wonderful combination of colors.
What an absolute gorgeous home. When he was explaining about the color in the living room I waited with baited breath to see what color that Coral is and he never said it love how it went with the soft Gray beautiful combination. Especially curated all the items very Tastefully done home 👍
Absolutely beautiful home, and Brian's personality is so much fun....❤
Utterly charming home and homeowner! Oatsie's portrait at 23:34 and the WOW bedroom shot at 30:00 were especially gorgeous! YES to being obsessed with Christmas, books in every room, buying one-of-a-kind treasures even when broke, and doing whatever it takes (painting three times, redoing wallpaper, and even buying a whole new house!) to create a living space that feels just-right. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home! 🎄❤🎄
That’s exactly how I would love to decorate my home. I can watch this over and over again,. Thanks so much for sharing.
Just beautiful….I love everything about this home. You did a fantastic job. It is so elegant, yet so comfortable and homey .
Just want to thank Brian for mentioning the Hallmark movie The Gathering. I just watched it on youtube... loved it.. cried and felt warm all over. Thanks Brian
