Interesting in all aspects. The collector's technical skills and knowledge are awesome. What a unique collection. I lusted for these cars as a teenager, too young to drive, much less able to buy one. At 19, I did have a '55 belvedere, 2 door hardtop, fire- engine red/black, spoke wheels, a white Chrysler steering wheel, clock up on the top of the dash board (like a tach), power steering, power brakes, a 3 speed manual, with a custom red and black interior. Oh Lord above, I felt like a stud with that car. That was 59 years ago!
What an amazing collection of beautiful cars and what a knowlegable and humble man John Lazenby seem to be! Well done sir! P.S. My father worked at Chrysler in Melbourne during the 60's and 70's, where they built the Valiants and the Dodge cars. I remember as a kid going to the family Christmas parties in the factory! Unfortunatly, I was too young too appreciate what I was looking at!
I grew up with and learned to drive in my parent's station wagons, bought second hand for pennies on the dollar, one of the last being a 440 era Town and Country. They parked it when the gas crunch came, and sold it still in excellent condition to a friend for $50. Fastest EZ boy recliner in town.
My grandfather had a ‘56 Windsor same color as the gorgeous New Yorker wagon which cried out “Sky King!” Always more into top of the line wagons than “Songbirds!” Thank you.
Excellent show on the Forward Look Chrysler cars. My dad’s first Chrysler was a 1950 Chrysler Newport two door until he fell in love with a new 1955 Chrysler Windsor Deluxe Sedan. He couldn’t stop talking about the Rhapsody Metallic Blue color under the dealership’s fluorescent lights. In 1961 he fell in love with a Chrysler New Yorker four door hardtop with an Arctic White top and a Tahitian Turquoise bottom. I now own the 1955 representing the first year of the Forward Look and the 1961 representing the last year.
This man has the most fantastic collection of Chryslers ever. All of them are the perfect years as well. These cars were so solid and built like a BSHouse. Look at the chrome thick solid. Back in the day, my dad had a 56 Desoto it was a 4-door but top-of-the-line in the sedan line. I remember that car being so solid. Close the door on one of these vintage years for Chrysler and it was like a bank vault. He bought a 62 Imperial crown coupe and I didn't think it was built as well as these years of Chrysler. Unless you went to the top of the line and more after say...58 the doors were so tinny and they rusted like an SOB. Even look at the door handles VS later years. Also, later years had such cheap low-line interiors except for maybe Imperial. But this man's taste in Chryslers is the creme del a creme for Chryslers. The Station Wagon is so mind-blowing It's hard to put words to describe it. No doubt that the car would bring 3-400+ K at a high-line auction, maybe more. I grew up during these years, and they bring back so many memories. This collection makes my heart melt. What fine taste you have Sir.
This man John Lazenby really does knows more about Chrysler automobiles from memory than most people could state directly from the top of his brain-housing group inside his head's memory recall ability. Which I found to be duly impressive concerning his overall knowledge base about Chrysler vehicles.
I was about 10 when I first saw that eerily luminescent instrument cluster of the 60-61 Chrysler. I'll never forget it. the Chryslers were more sophisticated than their Ford/ chevy counterparts of the era.
👍✅💕A most informative presentation of the most impressive Chrysler’s produced in the fifties and sixties. The owner is a living encyclopedia of detailed information about each of his incredible cars. Much respect indeed for all of the hard work and dedication that went into these restorations. This is the WOW. Factor my friend. Stunning, absolutely Stunning.🍺
I agree that even today Chrysler 300's are still "magic" cars, im 16 now but when I was 9 my friends dad bought the latest Chrysler 300 S with every option available and i remember him putting on launch control and just being put in my seat and it truly was an awesome experience.
Long intake runners don’t act like a supercharger. Long runners are good for low end torque, but not so great for upper rpm. No positive pressure is generated by the long runners.
Chrysler was the first in North America to build a 300 HP engine and was also the first in North America to build a engine 1 hp to every cubic inch of the engine
I was lucky as a teen ager. My dad had a 300D and a 300F. How cooler for a 16 year old. Prior had a 1957 Imperial with the "sparrow strainer" fins and tail lights.
Luther the Roofer in RVA had at least one if every year 300's including several convertibles. I don't know the value of the unrestored collection but my guess is half a million dollars. RIP Luther.
This guy is wrong, For a time Gen 2 Hemi's 354-392 (and aluminum copies) were used in top fuel dragsters. For at least the last 25 years or so Gen 3 426 Hemi's (aluminum versions) are the standard for Top Fuel & Fuel Funny Car.
a guy i knew in morrisburg ont had every year of letter car his 65 was four speed he had the coolest truck i had ever seen a dodge power wagon with a john deere tractor motor in it and it looked like it came with it poor guy had to sell off his collection because of his health i get a boner for 57s lol! norm macintire

Love the 1960 model, just a beautiful car. Great engine great suspension. The interior is world class.
What a lucky guy to own all those beautiful cars.
Excellent show for an under-appreciated car.

1957 Brute LOL!! I love it. The 1957 Chrysler 300 is one bad ass car

Got bit by the Chrysler bug back in 69. Love the Imperials and 300"s of the 50's, but damn, I would love to have his dad's Town and Country !!!!!

1960' car-300, is unreal beautiful

Chrysler made great looking and innovative cars - when did it all go wrong?
I was lucky as a teen ager. My dad had a 300D and a 300F. How cooler for a 16 year old. Prior had a 1957 Imperial with the "sparrow strainer" fins and tail lights.
Wasn't the wagon used on the "SKY KING " series I remember a Chrysler Wagon. , I've owned 2 Imperial , 53 , 55 ,331, and 1 57 Dodge D 500 330 ci Hmi'
the 55 d-500 is the true first muscle car ever
the car is super as always and I would like to drift on it
Friend had a 55 ..300 e conv.w 2..4bbl carbs in the day.
Imperial was it's own make until 1973 officially
The way this was produced i was able to study the car collector's shirt and beard, gee thanks.......show the CARS!!!
Push pause. Google how to do that. You can stare at a freeze frame of a car for hours. Enjoy!
Heaven.

Beautiful cars, Mopars are the best.
Didn't they use the 4 bucket seat idea in the 1st 2 years of the Dodge Charger

The only ugly cars in the video are on his shirt! Great show! Love 300's.
IT'S NOT A CHRYSLER IMPERIAL. THE NAME FOR 1955 IS IMPERIAL. MARVIN FROM UTAH
