I got my dog from a breeder at 8 weeks old and still deal with separation anxiety and other issues. Dogs are just like people and have different personalities. I know you never really know rescues full “stories” though. But then I rescued a cat and hit the jackpot. Found a young Siamese at a shelter. Full Siamese and he was just wandering the streets. But he’s the most social cat I’ve ever seen and sleeps right next to me every night. You just never know !
I water at night 80% of the time. I transplant when my plants need it no matter the season. I mist when I feel my plants need it. As you said there is not enough time in the day to do everything that needs to be done. Also a person has to do what works for them not every thing we do is right for everyone else
I think like you do as I go with what I think my plants need? But I am still learning. One of the things that confuses me though is how some houseplant enthusiasts say to never repot during the winter months (they say it may shock the roots), and some say it’s perfectly fine to do so. I have repotted at least 5 plants this winter, and I am waiting to see how they turn out. Fingers-crossed!😊🪴
Claire, you may be stressed and thinking your content is not up to your standards however, it does NOT show on our end. You are being hard on yourself. If I had to guess, we are all happy to just follow along in your plant journey. Keep being you…the real Claire.
Continue being yourself, Claire! That's why your followers adore you so much. Try not to let the pressure of increased social media commitments shape you. You have such a joyful personality and you are such a natural. You are very knowledgable to boot! On another note: I adore that smaller leaf shaped trellis!!!! With that hoya...perfection!
Begonia roots are fine. I never break up the soil because the one time I did my huge beautiful hanging basket died back so fast. Your turned out gorgeous.
Bringing a dog into your life is comparable to bringing a child into your life. It's a commitment. My rescued Pit mix has been wonderful. I saw her through Heartworm and she is seeing me through Covid. We have good days and not so good days. She's my best friend. And she's careful around the plants. Bless her heart!
Hi. I thought those trellis' were so cute and ordered a pair for two monstera plants. I received the cactus package instead and they both had cracks in them. I asked what I should do and was informed the cactus package was B stock and could have flaws. Well, the website says satisfaction garauneed not "b stock could have flaws". Anyway, what I hoped would be a fun planty thing, ended up a sour note on my saturday morning... just thought there might be someone that would want to know. Going to plant ferns now and get my mellow back.
When I moved the mover refused to take any plants in the truck. I had to take them all in a car. Fortunately nothing was too tall. Everything survived beautifully. It is spring in Australia and two months after the move all the plants are bursting with new growth. Don’t be anxious about the move, it will all be wonderful!
Enjoy your videos so much! I bought a wee baby Monstera Thai Constellation yesterday!!! It's very small but has good roots. Hoping it will grow into a lovely big plant!
Somehow whenever I’m thinking of something I want to try with my plants, Claire manages to make a video on it or where it’s incorporated into the video 🤩🥳
I just LUV your videos and personality! One concern I have about using trellises and poles is the prospect of having to remove a vine when it grows beyond the trellis. I've got a heartleaf philodendron with a small, bendable pole. It's not yet climbing it but I think 2 stems are finally long enough to tie on. My other vine is scindapsus pictus Silvery Anne, actually two of them that need to be potted together. I'm still trying to decide what to give it to climb on.
I spent a couple hours today finally cleaning out my greenhouse and doing some much needed repotting. Feeling accomplished and so much better now. Listening to this while doing so was a gem!
Confession- Husband was admiring a pitcher plant in the conservatory. “You’ve done really well keeping this one going when all the other carnivorous plants died. It’s got lots of new growth too” Me (thinks)…..Yeah, the one you think it is died too, I bought this in the garden centre sale last week 🤣
Ahh you read my question (funniest planty moment?) yay! Thank you for answering, gutted their isn’t video footage 😂 sounds devastating at the time, but definitely one to chuckle about now lol! 💚 xx
Love your pot and chat videos💚. This week I got a variegated macrorrhiza corm, and the seller sent me some free marble queen cuttings with it, so it was great to see yours. I’d love to see how you propagate corms. And I’ve ordered my first anthurium, a clarinervium so I’m excited to get that🌿. My dream plant is a variegated Frydek but I need to seriously save up for it, even the babies are just so expensive.
Regarding rescue animals, in my case it’s cats but I can very much relate. I much prefer rescued, as they r grown they have lived and see things and the trust was earned/ they choose to trust you. The bond really is something else ❤️
oh yay! this video is perfect for when I need to do my plant chores later! I've bought a string of pearls yesterday and the garden center must have had it sitting in water for way too long so it's got a bit of root rot and is desperate for a little repot.
I have never had pest problems inside & I’m thinking if it’s because I have an automatic natural pyrethrum sprayer going for flies. I’ve been using them for years & I, my pets or plants have never had any adverse reactions. I also purchase hydrogen peroxide In spray bottles from a company that promotes it for plant care. I spray the leaves periodically & the top of the soil, especially new plants coming into my home. Love your channel ❤️
Hi claire!! Loved the video thank u for the little tips and tricks! Congrats on your new house! Those trellises are so pretty and look amazing with the plants you picked for them....thank you so much for sharing! Have an amazing week💙💙🌱🌱
I actually have the opposite experience with rescue dogs. I rescue pit bulls and every rescue has been so wonderful. Cuddly, loving, smart, eager to please, trainable, good with dogs and cats, just all around perfectly wonderful dogs. But we did home visits first and since we wanted several dogs, we made sure they were dog friendly and did well in our home. The one dog we decided to buy, an olde English bull dogge - is the worst. He’s a sweet boy and loves us but he does not listen and is horrible on leash and needs CONSTANT attention, couldn’t be kennel trained, panics when we leave, just - we got him during Covid and he has been a lovey boy but such a handful. To me, getting a rescue - in the places I’ve gotten them anyways - they were pre trained and socialized in the pound. So by the time they came to me, they were so good.
Lucky you, I've been eyeing those trellises for a while! I have the wayettii as well, I didn't know it was a climbeing hoya I've always seen it trailing. I look forward to see it grow on your new trellis!
I’m glad you’re feeling better even if a bit busy 🐝💚 I found spider mites on one of my plants for the very first time this week after avoiding them for almost 4 years 😭 but it’s been isolated from my other plants since I got it so I’m hoping they didn’t spread 🤞🏼 and I finally made my first moss pole this week too! My Adansonii is on it now and it looks soo nice, I can’t wait to get some nice big leaves 🤗🌿
Hi Claire, I love your videos! You are lovely and your content is very helpful for this plant mom. I was wondering about your plants that have dried out. Do you do anything special to rehydrate the roots.? I've heard they become more susceptible to root rot if they dry out before a repot. ?? Oh, those trellises are beautiful! So unique. 😍
Hi! I love your videos, I have a question regarding your syngonium mojito in this video. There's some yellowing brown spots along the edges @36:20 and I was wondering if you know what that's from? Mine is currently doing something similar and I've been treating it as a pest problem but I can't see any pests and I think I've been making the situation worse. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
Have you ever run into issues with the roots getting tangled in the moss pole? New plant parent here considering putting a moss pole in my monstera deliciosa
Hey Claire , if i had a loads of moneys my two Philodendron Wishlist plants would be Philodendron Black Cardinal Variegata and Philodendron Strawberry Shake . I hope everything goes super well for you regarding the move . Kiss for Yolie too . Have a great day .
Hi Claire, I pack soil in the bottom of the moss pole so it makes it more secure once potted. I’ve treated myself this week to a Thai constellation monstera, can’t wait until she arrives! Do you have any care tips video? Love your videos on RUclips and patreon. 🙏🏻💚
Regarding the moving question: one thing I've heard suggested if you have a large collection and are moving a larger distance is to sell/gift a large amount before moving and repurchase in your new area(especially if it's a plant friendly environment!)
I love the idea of the plant swap, but am a bit nervous as I don’t have any super swish plants. Don’t want to be there with my monstera, Pothos and tradescantia and everyone else is there with rare beauties!
I have been repoting some of my plants too. How do you get Alocasia 'Black Velvet' to grow? Mine grows one new leaf and dumps the old one(s) it is down to one stem & leaf.
From what you are saying, I am pretty much like you. I am either all in or not in at all and baby steps never worked very well for me. If you put me in one spot and leave me there with something that I love to do, I can guarantee if you come back 50 years later, I will be still in the same spot, hapilly doing whatever I was left there with to do 🤣
I love that you talk about your rescue experience. I would like to add that it can be very costly too so.... $ave, $ave, $ave. My rescue cat is at the vet now, I'm hoping they can help my Chester get better 🖤
If money wasn't an option I'd have to build a conservatory first and would love a living wall with anteriums like a big queen antherium, vittarifolium , pallidiflorum, veitchii and some orchids
Smoke boom ur place. I have a cat , just keep them away for 4 hrs an after 3hrs then open all the windows then let it Air out. And you won’t smell anything I’ve done it before and it works on all types of bugs even those pests mites
Sitting down watching a planty video while repoting my ppp and didn't even notice my deaf 14 yo cat Casper begging for my attention until he took a chomp out of my half moon leaf 🥶
Unless your plants that are in just one room we can just shut off that room at the door and put a towel underneath the door and then to smoke bomb that room then you don’t have to take your animals away
The variegated philodendron in the background is just living its best life; It's gorgeous.

I need the space for more so I’d have an extension THEN fill it with any plants! I love cuttings off friends & growing them. Xx
I now have plastic cups in the top of all my moss poles. Such a great idea.

I really enjoyed this video! Love the question and answer section
A big chance for these plants to grow so much more after repotting👍
They are beautiful 💚🌵🌱☘️
I used clear totes and it worked well enough!

Sometimes I pretend that I’m planting with Claire & we’re chatting about our plants 😂
I watch your channel a lot and love it! Whenever my son walks in and sees you, he’s convinced you’re Daisy Ridley. 😂 Anyway, keep up the great videos!
Rescues are the best 🫶🏼🐾 challenges & all!

Those plants on the trellises came out so cute! Treleaf is actually one of my fav companies, love there wall mounts! So cool seeing you with them
Ugh the moving with plants talk 🤦♀️ it’s always so stressful. Hope everything goes smoothly!

Always wanted a fern
Got a rabbit fern about a week ago
No idea what I’m doing with it
Have no knowledge on ferNs
So far still green 😅
Perfect timing Claire I am about to start lots of repotting and was hoping you'd have e new video for me hehe yay can't wait xxxxxxxx

Exciting plants: finally found manjula and Baltic Blue at local!
Hi Claire, do you have a care video for your begonia? I am still trying to figure mine out and it’s not going well! 😅

congrats on moving into your own house! Will it have a conservatory as your mum's one for the plants? 🙂 It just sounds so dreamy.
Have you ever run into issues with the roots getting tangled in the moss pole? New plant parent here considering putting a moss pole in my monstera deliciosa
Hello, off to order those beautiful trellises
Hey Claire , if i had a loads of moneys my two Philodendron Wishlist plants would be Philodendron Black Cardinal Variegata and Philodendron Strawberry Shake .
I hope everything goes super well for you regarding the move . Kiss for Yolie too .
Have a great day .
Hi Claire, I pack soil in the bottom of the moss pole so it makes it more secure once potted. I’ve treated myself this week to a Thai constellation monstera, can’t wait until she arrives! Do you have any care tips video? Love your videos on RUclips and patreon. 🙏🏻💚
Love the shirt!
Regarding the moving question: one thing I've heard suggested if you have a large collection and are moving a larger distance is to sell/gift a large amount before moving and repurchase in your new area(especially if it's a plant friendly environment!)
So excited for your move! Is it an apartment or a house? I missed that! Moving is always stressful but also exciting!
Do you use plain water for misting your plants Ariel roots or do you use a product like houseplant myst?
I have killed multiple peperomia and Marantha. If you could go over just basic care and maybe common problems with those I would appreciate it
I love the idea of the plant swap, but am a bit nervous as I don’t have any super swish plants. Don’t want to be there with my monstera, Pothos and tradescantia and everyone else is there with rare beauties!

Bạn làm đẹp cây cảnh và cây cảnh làm đẹp bạn.
I would love some of those tree leaf supports but postage to the UK isore than the item itself 😭
Don't syngonium naturally get smaller leaves when they're vining?
Did you mean polyester fiberfilling? 🤔😅
That’s what I’m thinking of when you said pillow stuffing.😅
I would get a variegated frydek!, a Thai constellation monstera… a variegated adansonii and mint adansonii and lastly I’d get a large monstera albo 🤪🤪
From what you are saying, I am pretty much like you. I am either all in or not in at all and baby steps never worked very well for me. If you put me in one spot and leave me there with something that I love to do, I can guarantee if you come back 50 years later, I will be still in the same spot, hapilly doing whatever I was left there with to do 🤣
Claire taking her phone with dirty hands... I am jealous, I would never be able to do that 😁
I love that you talk about your rescue experience. I would like to add that it can be very costly too so.... $ave, $ave, $ave. My rescue cat is at the vet now, I'm hoping they can help my Chester get better 🖤
I hope your cat gets better. Rescuing cats is so worthwile and they make loving cats

भगवान के नाम का जाप करने से सारे दुख दूर हो जाते है कुदरत भगवान है
Q: Do you have any siblings, & are they planty too?
Love hearing you are a googler too. Lol
I’d love to have a variegated Monstera Deliciosa, a variegated Syngonium and an Alocasia..
among others….
I am going to watch she hulk so be back soon!
Poly fill
Plants if money wasn't an issue:
Philodendron glorious
Philodendron black Majesty
Philodendron Micans
Euphorbia
