Caring for my plants help with my anxiety and know that I'm getting a greenhouse I will be able to go out to my greenhouse and take care of my plants whenever I feel like it.
This was adorable! You kept me company through watering, repotting, and even opening plant mail - succulents! Possible frost damaged... But I'll deal with that! I would never have guessed you have anxiety, what with having studied theater and being on social media..! It's a tough emotion to manage at times but, as you said, accepting it as part of yourself and being honest about it with the world makes a huge difference. I try not to think of "shoulds" when I'm anxious - and even when I'm not. I reframe it as a want rather than a should. And sometimes it's a need and I may not be up to it! But there's a pressure that comes with "should" that's anxiety-inducing in itself. That's my experience, anyway! And I'm looking forward to trying passion flower tea! I know this is a blast from the past video, but I wanted to thank you for it. BTW, I'm Hufflepuff too. 😅
Loved this video. I can relate so much when it comes to feeling overwhelmed and anxious about plant care. There are days where I think what have I done having so many but then other days I love spending time taking care of them and watching them grow 😊
This was a helpful video, I repotted my pothos, but the roots looked like a brain! I had no idea how to split, separate the roots or cut the roots...I watched the entire video ;) and just enjoyed the whole of it! Thank you for your time and passion.
Aww thank you so much Heather! I love zoning out to planty content whilst I'm repotting, so I'm really glad you got your pothos repotted at the same time. Pothos roots can be CRAZY! Hope it's doing well now 💚
You're right about plant care helping with anxiety, for me it keeps me grounded and in the moment. I haven't tried passionflower tea so will give that a try although I find Melissa tea helps greatly with anxiety. I love these repot and chats 💚
You can use aquarium water conditioner- you only need a few drops so it works out cheaper than distilled. Also if you run a dehumidifier you can use the water from that.
I love your videos, I listen to them all the time! I thought you were already a full time content creator and was so surprised to hear that you weren't!
I just found u about a week ago, and then this video is so me JUST THIS WEEK- from putting off repotting for fear of hurting/upsizing my plant babies, the Italian and Japanese cuisine, and even the Passionflower Tea for my anxiety! Are u sure we aren't separated twins?? Love your chats so much.
I’m the same way with combining different plants in the same pot. But these two look lovely and should be happy together for a while. I love and enjoy your videos, thank you 💚
Only way I’d plant different plants together in the same pot is if they are in the same family or have similar looks. I wanna do this with a few different pothos breeds in one big pot or long planter like you have and make them climb and intertwine! I think the differnt colors and patters between a marbled and golden would be gorgeous
Thank you for mentioning passion flower tea. After going down the Google rabbit hole I'm gonna give it a try. I've been in treatment for severe anxiety for years and it has never been brought up. Thank you again
Great video - love these chatty ones ☺ as i'm sitting here ready to pot some pothos cuttings! Joli reminds me so much of my one rescued girl name Dizzy lol esp that clip of her "punching" your face. We've been working with our girl over the last year for the pawing and she's cut it down a good bit! Love that you have the patience for a rescue 💛🐶🪴
Thanks Talya! Aww bless, Dizzy sounds adorable! Joli's got so much better, but really doesn't have much spacial awareness bless her (forever work in progress) 😂💚
What does Passion flower tea taste like? Very interested. Hearing you talk about how plants have helped with anxiety has made me realise that yeah it has helped me too. I’m very careful of not buying to many too quickly though because I know myself, I can get major overwhelm when surrounded by too many things that need my attention and that triggers my anxiety.
It's not delicious like some herbal tea... It kind of has a grassy taste? I usually put a spoonful of honey with it, and over time I've actually grown to really like the taste. It's more soothing that tasty 💚 I also completely get the not feeling overwhelmed with plants - when it starts to feel too much it's definitely an anxty trigger for sure x
Yes you have done the right thing you've given the large plant weight at the base and stopped it getting top heavy you may find you will have to train it up a pole your doing a great job
@@TheJungleHaven Agree. Though I will usually mix another tea in to mine and make a pitcher to use as iced (sweet) tea. That helps cut that almost nothing taste. Thanks for sharing!
I studied crystls and found several that are good for anxiety. I built a nice shield of crystals in necklaces and never take them off. It is so fun when I come across another that understands the crystals I am wearing and comments on them. Most just think I am a necklace freak. I am a new sub and been binging on your videos. So glad you chose that larger pot. LOL I was going NO NO NO the larger one. That plant will have it filled up in no time.
I've noticed that my string of hearts strands root really quickly like the SOP did! I used to do the butterfly method with the SOH, but that takes a bit of time and I just DON'T always have the patience for that😅
I have an angel wing bengonia and I honestly can’t stand it but I can’t get rid of it for some reason I would have to like chuck it and I feel bad lol I also have a tea tree which I do like but it just isn’t thriving and constantly loses leaves but somehow it’s not bare but I feel like I never see new leaves 😅
Hey Clair! So glad I found your channel a few weeks ago! I must ask, how in the world did you get the leaves of your Heartleaf Philodendron to grow so big?? The leaves on mine are small, and I am disappointment by the slow growth this summer, even after putting it outside (under a tree) for a while. I thought they were considered fast growing plants. I mean, the leaves looked healthy and there is new growth, but the growth is very slow and the leaves are small. It is not root bound because I checked that at the beginning of the summer. Any suggestions? BTW....all of your plants are gorgeous! 🙂💚
I feel you on combining plants. It bothers me for some reason…. Although now I’m imagining putting my gloriosum and pastazanum together because the pasta is sooooo much taller that’s it could look cool. I just filmed a potting video for my Ecuagenera import of the pastazanum and now you’re making me reconsider using a basic pot…. Anyway, just wanted to say I enjoy your vibe girlfriend! This is my first video and I subbed during the intro 😆 I can’t wait to see more of your content
Yeah I'm not sure what it is about it... Maybe just that you can't totally appreciate one plant? Haha I don't know. Thanks so much for your kind words - I'll have a watch of that vid later (I've been eyeing up Ecuagenera for a while now) 💚
My least favourite plant is my aloe Vera, it’s just that plant that is never happy no matter what I do, doesn’t grow, looks all droopy, I’ve tried more water, less water, more light, less light, and she still hates me! I’ve given her a new potting mix today, if she doesn’t like it then she can go back to the friend who gave her to me and live in her greenhouse 😂 great video! Love your repots and chats! Xx
They can be quite tricky! I actually looked at mine and thought about saying it was my least favourite too, but I've had it for so long now I just couldn't 😂 The best way I've found with mine is finding a bright spot and pretty much leaving it alone to do its thing. Water it only when they soil is super dry - once or twice a month and then just forgetting about it x
If I had to give one of my plants away...😬awful to talk about...I could part with one of my smaller snake plants and for the same reason as yours. I’m not as “emotionally attached” because we hardly have connection time. One of my larger snake plants is next to my reclining chair and I “pet” it often, I could not part with that one. But I stand in the middle of the room, talk to all of them 😁 or go to all of them individually just to express admiration and gratitude. It seems silly but is so genuine! Haha
That makes so much sense - I could actually probably part with a snake plant if I had to as (like you said) I don't have as much emotional attachment to it 😂💚
Ignore me my WiFi is patchy lol ‘should not want to be Slytherin’ And the funny not funny story killed me 😂 can you also tell me is it ok to propagate string of pearls over winter time.? Ty 🙏🏾💕

I have a straight up anxiety disorder that's residual from long term PTSD. While pregnant I can't take my anxiety meds as it could cause a lot of issues for fetus. I am very hard to live with right now, but my toddler is so awesome we decided to go through this crap one last time. I have two months to go and plants have straight up kept me from having premature delivery. I have Braxton Hicks contractions and am having a really complicated pregnancy otherwise. Every time I am having issues I start working with my plants to distract myself.
Wow that must be incredibly tough for you right now, but a brave/very rewarding decision to make 🥰 I'm so happy to hear your plants are keeping you going - plant care is honestly so healing/calming and can be an absolute saviour! You've got this, keep going and stay planty, it'll all be worth it 💚
You’ve got to take the test so the sorting hat can put you in a Hogwarts house. On the plant front, I’ve just gotten more into plants. I’ve bought quite a few in the last few months but I find learning what each one wants is a bit overwhelming. What do you think is the best way to learn and keep track of what each plant needs, and when you’ve done it? With so many plants, how do you keep track of when you’ve fertilized, repotted, watered?
Haha I know I definitely need the sorting hat! It definitely gets easier as you get to know all the plants (I find I actually remember what I've done to most of them nowadays and I've got 350+) but when you're first starting out it can be good to group plants with similar care requirements together so that you can monitor them as a bunch if that makes sense. For example, high light plants that like their soil to dry out in between waterings in one spot, and low light plants that like their soil consistently moist in another 💚
@@TheJungleHaven thank you. I’ll try that. Now to get the puppy to leave them alone so I can get some plants that aren’t dog safe. All the ones Im wishing for I have leave at the store for now.
I would think that any variegated plant would need less water because less of the surface of the leaves are performing photosynthesis and thus use less water? Not a botanist, but makes sense in my brain.

These long, chatty, repots are my favorite kind! Love it!
This is pure mindfulness - She's an absolute gem! 💚
Love the video. You are one of the few that provide us with long videos, which at least for me, it awesome!
I loved this video, it's like sitting with a friend. And you make me laugh, best wishes. 👌
Naww, thank you 🥰💚
Your heart leaf is beautiful, I think it will be very happy 😊
Loved this video. I can relate so much when it comes to feeling overwhelmed and anxious about plant care. There are days where I think what have I done having so many but then other days I love spending time taking care of them and watching them grow 😊
I FEEEEL you! It's such a blessing 90% of the time, and a curse when you're not feeling it. The good definitely outweighs the bad though 🥰
You have definitely done the right thing. Love that plant.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, and yayyyyy to the tidy room 💚
I love your videos, I listen to them all the time! I thought you were already a full time content creator and was so surprised to hear that you weren't!
I always put one type of plant per pot indoors but my outdoor plants are always a mish mash of different plants in a pot 😅
Yeah I don't mind it outdoors as much, not sure what it is about it indoors that freaks me out 😂
I just found u about a week ago, and then this video is so me JUST THIS WEEK- from putting off repotting for fear of hurting/upsizing my plant babies, the Italian and Japanese cuisine, and even the Passionflower Tea for my anxiety! Are u sure we aren't separated twins?? Love your chats so much.
I’m the same way with combining different plants in the same pot. But these two look lovely and should be happy together for a while.
I love and enjoy your videos, thank you 💚
They're doing really well actually and I do love the look of them! 💚
LOL. I was yelling at the screen telling you “use the bigger pot!“🤣
Ahahahah!! You were so right! That was a BAD call I made (tired tired brain) 😂

I love these so much! I just bought a huge mason jar with a terrarium in mind! How much light do you give them. Just buy a window or a grow light?
I think it was a good idea to put both crawlers together for a while. They can keep each other company.😊
Thank you for mentioning passion flower tea. After going down the Google rabbit hole I'm gonna give it a try. I've been in treatment for severe anxiety for years and it has never been brought up. Thank you again

I would love to see Joli birthday video🐕❤
Ahhaha awww ok maybe I'll do a little birthday vlog 🥰🐾
Ur plants are so pretty, im also going to the plant swap sooo excited but very nervous 😬😅
Thank you so much! Ooooh yay how exciting - can't wait to see you there 💚
my red maranta prayer plant is the one I would get rid of, keeping the humidity I need for it is a pain lol
I know, marantas can be super fussy about their humidity! 💚
I've noticed that my string of hearts strands root really quickly like the SOP did! I used to do the butterfly method with the SOH, but that takes a bit of time and I just DON'T always have the patience for that😅
Yeah they can be super quick to root! Love a quick rooting plant - I'm so impatient 😂
for my pots with larger drainage holes, I use window screen to just hold it all in. still gets air and holds all the small things in lol
That's such a good idea - I'll remember that! My friend also uses the netting from packs of onions which I thought was pretty nifty 💚
Your plants are beautiful. Also wondering where did you get the white plant container?

Thank you so much, I'm really glad you enjoyed it! 💚
Yay you did go with the bigger one! Hahaha 🤣

Yep, you're right! 😂

do you have a video, where you show how you make youre pots?
