Dude, that guitar is epic as fuck! I love how you're repping Jackson with your shirt. I have the same one! I have the regular SL2H except with EMG 81/85 rather than the Seymour Duncans. Best guitar I've ever owned and played!!!
I've got an rgb Ibanez all black white trim line border edge, with the same pickup that's very similar to the Jackson soloist can't decide if it's worth to invest in a classic Gibson explorer with dimarzio paf pro hummbuckers or a reverse headstock Jackson. I'm torn
Absolutely outstanding playing man, very very impressive. Chris Amott is my favourite lead guitarist and you really capture his vibe beautifully...great bends, vibrato etc and your picking technique looks identical to his. I saw an interview where he mentioned giving you guitar lessons, I'm curious how much of this ability you had before having lessons with him (as in how much you taught yourself) and how much was from taking lessons with him? If this is mostly down to lessons with him then he must be an absolute beast of a teacher....
You make that look effortless. I just can't understand how there are so many guitar players who can play so precise at higher speeds. I wouldn't even know where to begin or what techniques to practice in order to get this fast. I really need to take lessons.
Personally more of a dinky man, mainly cause the bodies are smaller haha. But I've been using this yellow jackson soloist for quite a while and I absolutely love it
@@JoeyConcepcionGuitar wow impressive as I was not impressed by the sounds of the Kemper I tried out. The Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier sounds great I tried out.
I am going to guess you have the Dimarzio TONE ZONE and AIR NORTON set in this SL2H? Love the Jackson stuff. the Soloist for me is their flagship model. I own a SL-2H, a Jackson Adrian smith, a Kelly with floyd and reverse shark inlays and a few USA Charvel san dimas strats. one is a Charvel custom shop TMZ natural series in mahogany and the other is a CS San dimas i had made that is spec'd out to a old 1981 original i used to own years ago and regrettably traded. all of these guitars are stellar!
It looks sick! Although i'm surprised you didn't go for a seven string since you have it in B standard. I figured you might want that extra range in your playing. To each their own i guess, lol. i'm hoping to one day get a recording worthy setup for a pro series jackson that i've been looking at purchasing plugged into a randall RG1003H with a marshall cab. Inexpensive i know, but it would be so worth it to hear those sick old school death metal tones through a good solid state amp!
Very good man ! I am waiting for my custom shop soloist made by a luthier with a normal head, SP Customs Sanguinaires pick-ups and a Schaller Floyd Rose. This guitar will be in transparent red and the pick-ups will be read also.Abalone shark tooths . I jus't can't find a left handed decal in abalone for the neck! And the neck won't be turned like the one you have. I prefer normal necks to tune my beauty.
So i'm looking for a new axe and I'm coming from a Strat style. I'd consider myself beginner - intermediate. I want more of a modern sound possibly with Floyd Rose for... yes you guessed it... DIVE BOMBS. Now I know there are ways to set up and upgrade your guitar to get the same result but these are the ones I've narrowed it down to. Yes, I'm using the term narrowed down lightly. Also, because its Covid I can't go in and try all of these. The most I can do is buy one and if I don't like it I can return it within 30 days. That just sounds unreasonable. I've done a shit ton of listening tests with and without headphones online, tonnes of comparisons and I'm only more confused. Would love any help and insight. Not trying to break the bank but also don't want to go half way. JACKSON JS32 DINKY or SCHECTER OMEN SERIES OMEN 6 or JEM555 or JACKSON X SERIES SOLOIST SLX DX or IBANEZ SA360 or IBANEZ SA260FM or Kramer Assault T220 with Floyd Rose - Ebony
Really liked your sound I love Jackson guitars also. I got one almost exactly like that one your playing in the video. Mine has to covered jackson humbuckers. The very best stock pick ups I ever played. Yours also has chrome pickup rings mine is black. Love mine! It sounds as good as my Dean dime razorback with Seymour dimebucker in the bridge.
I was gonna get one of these but mine was gonna have a gold floyd and locking nut and a reverse head stock and reverse shark inlays but when I called jackson up it was gonna take 1yr to build beacuse of the waiting list so lame I was like I don't wanna wait that long
Nice guitar. I always thought of getting my own custom shop built. How did the process work, did you mail the company the form or called them or gave it to a local guitar store?
Well I'm thinking about getting a Jackson( NEVER owned one lol) .... I'm usually an Ibanez s series guy and really the sz model has been my favorite the last 15 years .. BUT I'm ready for a change lol
Well I actually just went and got ANOTHER Ibanez lol this time the rg421ahm it's the ash body version with maple fretboard ( transparent blue) and I'm NOW in the process of wiring up my new emg hz passive pu"s with the solderless kit and I've ALREADY upgraded to locking tuners and tusq nut as well as Gotoh bridge ( tho the plate is slightly thicker than the Ibanez factory one the Ibanez saddles are STILL better as they are slightly heavier i think ....... When finished I'm definitely thinking it'll compete with the higher end ax"s like the premium or the rg652 prestige minus the birdseye maple fretboard for the plain maple one .... But I already had it all together and playing but i wanted to add the solderless system for future swapouts lol
Probably got around 750$ in it now ( they are 400$ new from factory) but if it sounds and plays like a 1200-1500$ dollar guitar then it's definitely worth it lol .... On a side note the ahm version of the rg is the heaviest Ibanez I've ever held ..... It's a solid and heavy chunk of wood lol
And that's one dude that really needs a custom- shop Jackson and does it justice. Rock on mate \m/
I love Jackson axe and happy to hear Carcass riff on it!
Nice playing. Haven't heard those classic Arch Enemy tunes for years!

You've obviously put in a lot of work. Beautiful guitar and fantastic playing.

That’s beyond cool that it’s made just for You. Sounds killer!!!
Killer Guitar Man, excellent playing, no sloppiness tight picking, keeping the dream alive ,I dig it rock on bro!!!
You make that look effortless. I just can't understand how there are so many guitar players who can play so precise at higher speeds. I wouldn't even know where to begin or what techniques to practice in order to get this fast. I really need to take lessons.
Lessons, practice and patience. Speed comes with accuracy and practice.
datooch p
Great taste in guitars and then you start playing At The Gates and then some Arch Enemy.. You're awesome.
mrmaybe thanks man!
I owned a SL-2h BCB USA select. Best guitar I've ever had.
Good choice man, Soloists rule. Nice riffing.
they are great
ruclips.net/video/8IKbPmJu9W0/видео.html
they are under rated
Personally more of a dinky man, mainly cause the bodies are smaller haha. But I've been using this yellow jackson soloist for quite a while and I absolutely love it
No demo would be complete without the requisite At the Gates lick
Great job!! Badass guitar!! What does a custom shop charge for a guitar like that? How long did you have to wait before it was finished?
like 3-5k based on options but I've seen used ones for half that
Dude, that sounds MONSTROUS! What amp is that beast going into?
tenhundredkills thanks man! It's a Kemper profiling amp
@@JoeyConcepcionGuitar wow impressive as I was not impressed by the sounds of the Kemper I tried out. The Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier sounds great I tried out.
Renaissance Man u just couldn’t handle the kemper i would say
Them jacksons aint no joke . im a die hard BC rich fan and I would love to have a jackson king V
That's my favorite guitar of yours. When your signature model comes out I hope it is that one.

Awesome demo and review man..........I really love Jacksons ...I have two models a J32R Dinky with the Reverse Headstock and a King V KVXT
Nice, I'm in the process of ordering one like that also but with EMG's, Trying to decide on all black or chrome hardware. Decisions....
I was a Les Paul guy, since I got my Japanese Jackson SL3, turned into a more Super Strat guy.
Edit: Great axe by the way!

Your lead chops are bad ass. I thought your hand was catching fire for a sec. Fk yea bro, Jackson 4 life!
Fully pro instrument you have there now, it doesn’t give you ear tiredness even hearing hours of djent just this on its own
Really liked your sound I love Jackson guitars also. I got one almost exactly like that one your playing in the video. Mine has to covered jackson humbuckers.
