The original idea was for him to skip the drone phase (cuz Blitz Krieg ya knoe) but it got changed (it was too good) and after that he got his shield. But it got changed way before beta, before alpha too.

yes.. actually, to be fair, the game wasnt at its best stage here. It was best at Operation Dust Line/Skull rain (because of the Battleeye) and we didnt have cancer metas
Back when it wasnt toxic, back when we had all the maps. Every game was unique and different, now we are limted to the same maps and same tactics. Team killing is at an all time high as well. Siege is kind of a sellout now, especially with these call of duty operators coming out

I can agree the community is pretty toxic, especially at the silver level (because they think they're so good so they put you down) but I think Siege is not a sellout. I don't understand how the new ops are related to call of duty. Call of duty has the same game out every year.

I'll agree with people that new ops have changed the meta a shit ton and I do miss more simpler times of siege. However, I do not miss all the broken ass shit that was around during 1.0. The game was hated for a reason at the time.

Siege 1.0 is shit compared to what it is now. The only reason everyone says they enjpyed 1.0 better ia because no one knew how to play the game. House was considered to be the best map.

Operation Skull Rain/ Dust Line was when this game was at its best I personally think, the community was mature, there was no unnecessary teamkills or kicks, the game was much more realistic and there was no crazy overpowered ops (other than BlackBeard and shotguns were crazy good too)
I still love the game and still play it but damn I hate a lot of things they put into it

captain banana :D the only time a laser would show up like that is if the air was thick (like with fog), if you shot, if there was smoke, or if it was an industrial laser. There are some laser that do show up like that, but the type of laser that you'd see on a gun doesn't have that high of a wattage.

Chayce however back then the player base was much more friendly and people actually trying to be more tactical and cautious, thermite&thacher and mute&castle combo was pretty much necessary for the team, you know what you are expecting every game if you have enough map knowledge and experience. Now it’s full of 12 year olds screaming and every game is just about killing people.

But at this time the game wasnt good, there were alot of game breaking bugs/glitches (over a thousand) and the hit registration was so fucking bad. not to talk about that almost *half* of the players were hacking or montagne glitching

exactly, it was so much fun, but if you see technically how good the game is (bugs, glitches, hacks, content) then the game is just so much better now. Still miss year 1 tho..

Jason Granger no. Its not perfect, but its really good. Back then you could (without exaggeration) spray 2 full mags in someones head sometimes and they would die or not even get hurt. You could sometimes get knifed when you were 5 meter from the enemy, and 50% of the time you *hit* the enemy with knife, it wouldnt register (even if blood came out).
Also, until the end of op health (i think) all the pings were 2-3x as high as now
