- In this video, I will be rebuilding an Dana 30 Narrow Track Front Axle. This is Part 2 that primarily covers Installing the Ring Gear on the new Spartan Helical LSD and calculating the starting depth of the new Motive Gear 3.73 Ring Gear Set.

I was just given an 86 cj -7 with all the parts for it i mean everything, your videos are seriously making me consider putting the jeep together but from where its at it would still be a two to three project with my novice experience with these jeeps but your videos the more i watch them, are giving me the confidence to attempt it!

Good video. Haven't done a differential yet. You probably know you can get a pinion depth tool however pricey. Glad to see the timken bearings. They are the way to go.

Nice. I’m going to have to redo my Dana 30. But I’m going with 4.56 gears. The limited slip/locker. I really like. But i might search out a Dana 44 first. Will see
