Hi Shiva, I just purchased this wonderful bike. I'm short 4" 10 so this is a perfect bike for short older ladies. Thank you for your information on this fantastic bike.
Shiva, your videos are so informative and thorough, great job! Thank you so much for answering every question, and helping me make the absolute best out of my new Jetson. The second battery video was awesome too!
Hi John, thank you very much for your support to my channel. I am glad my videos have been helpful. Stay tuned for many more videos about this bike and please reach out with any questions or future video suggestions.
6/21 bought this bike from Outdoor Sports, as you posted in your video Costco doesn't have this bike, nor does Walmart @$459! We picked up 2 for $425 refurbished. Can't wait to get accessories for it! Watch all your videos love all the info.
I bought one of these last November (it’s now September). It’s a nice little bike, and I’ve enjoyed it, but it comes with some big downsides. One is that I weigh 190 lbs. and I never got more than 14 miles with pedaling virtually 100% of the time and that was with a brand new battery. So the 30 mile claim is nonsense, unless you’re talking some little kid who weighs next to nothing. Another is that their claim of it being good for 300-500 recharges is wishful thinking. I got maybe 150 recharges of the battery (about 1500 miles of riding) and currently the range is about 6 miles which is worthless. The battery is shot and going down for the count. The headlight is worthless for illumination at night, and not that noticeable in the day, and just sucks the battery down faster. I bought a rechargeable light that is much brighter, and you can set it to different modes like flashing to get cars’ attention. The tires are narrow and not good on much of anything other than pavement. Loose sand bogs it down very fast. The chain needed tightening at 500 miles (a $15 cost at a bike shop). The rear tire is pretty much bald of tread at 1500 miles, and needs replacing; without tread it slips in the lightest of sand or water on the road. I figure it needs about $250 of repair and this was true maybe 2 months ago , after 7-8 months of usage. Given that I spent $330 to buy it new at Costco, spending that much on repairs every 7 months doesn’t make much sense. Plus the Jetson website has had zero spare parts showing on it for months. Bottom line: I bought a different brand of ebike and got it a few days ago. It was $1250. 26” tires, a battery that is said to last for 50 miles of pedal assistance (I turn off that assistance because it’s got 8 gears and I can pedal it most of the time without the battery’s help). It’s got some other nice features such as an electronic speedometer. So the Jetson served a purpose, got me back into biking after decades of not doing any, but I needed a better designed bike to keep going.
You can take the blur tooth module from the other bolt and put it in the bolt pro then use the blue tooth app to raise the speed . When done if you want you can remove the blue tooth module.
You failed to mention that these have disc brakes. That's upper level stuff beats pinchers all day long. Good review. I had mine for about a year now and I'm a heavy guy.
Hi John, thanks for watching my video. Yes, I did forget about the disk brakes. I recently did a video on how to replace those brake pads though. I am glad to hear the bike is working out well for you.
Thank you so much for answering my questions! One last query....was talking to a friend (who like me does deliveries on bike) and he mentioned lithium batteries having issue in colder weather. The city bikes (in Chicago) that are E-assist are having issues as well. Below about 50*, they become sluggish in hi gear and hard to ride. If this bolt bike is going to have that problem I may have to reconsider if its worth it! Friend mentioned perhaps wrapping the frame/battery in some type shipping paper made to retain heat??
Hello, thanks again for your time and your questions. E-bikes, exactly like electric vehicles (e.g. my Tesla) lose about 20% range in low temperatures. Normally the performance stays the same but you get less range. However, depending on the road conditions, it could have hard time going forward and it might feel slow. If the bike will be left outside in a cold weather constantly, it will definitely affect its performance. In your situation, if you can charge and store the bike inside in a room temperature, I think this bike will perform well. Yes, there are some folks who have found that wrapping the battery has helped get more range in low temperatures. Also, if you do purchase this bike, please be sure to clean the dirt/road salt after each ride. Unfortunately, there are a lot of factors involved with battery performance during winter temperatures, so won't be able to tell you how this specific bike will perform. We got snow earlier this week here in Colorado and I took the bike out when the temperature was in the 30s and it performed just fine. I didn't do a range test or anything though.
Pro tip: There are freezer packs that can also be used in the microwave as heat packs. Be certain that they can be microwaved and won't blow up. Heat a couple up and wrap them around the center area with a scarf or two. Voila!

Hi Jin, thanks for watching my video. I usually only charge when my battery is at 25% (last bar) or if I need to go for a long ride then I charge full before heading out.
Nice Review! big plus is the Larger tires (14”) are better then competitors tire sizes. Please let us know if and when you get flats! Two questions... A) using as a utility bike when traveling requires a basket for the front and/or back. Basket(s) should be large enough for grocery shopping. Baskets could be thick plastic netting attached to a metal frame. Realize weight effects battery usage which brings up question B. B) If distance exceeds battery charge and peddling is a good backup but rather a way to slip in a second battery or completely replace existing battery is desired. Bike ESystem appears enclosed and closed to battery access. 👉Would adding a second battery exceed existing controls electronics capacity?
Hi Marty, thank you very much for watching my video and subscribing to my channel. I really appreciate it. I agree, the 14" tires are much better than the bikes with smaller wheels. I will let you know if Inget flats. To answer your questions: A) Since the front handlebar folds, adding a rear rack and a cargo bag is better for this bike. I did a video about this recently, please check that video out in my channel 😊 B) I also did a video to show step by step on how to replace battery on this bike. I am currently looking into a possibile 2 battery system for this bike and I will let you know if that would be possible. I will do a video on this topic in the near futur, so please stay tuned for that video. Thank you again for your support!
@@ShivaSapkota Thank you for the quick reply... From looking at other videos it looks like this bike is packaged from off the shelf components. Assembly seems well thought out but as I mentioned those traveling need more configurable options. I might want to recommend moving the battery to the outside and allow interchangeably. Current package isn’t water proof and this could be another option for Sailers who would use this bike to run to the store when at Harbor. It’s possible the Controller is off the shelf. Usually when shopping I’ll notice changes needed and if I buy they usually show up later.
@@MartyDidier Thanks for your very insightful feedback. Yes, moving the battery to the outside would allow for interchangeability. Yeah other than the frame, the components for sure look like they are packaged from off the shelf items. Thank you again for your feedback and support to my channel.
@@ShivaSapkota Hi Shiva, found a video that describes brief engineering terms with limits and abilities of Controllers and Hub Motors. Controller limits are based on Component sizing within the Controller. Too much burns out the Controller. A Motor that’s too hot burns out motor windings. A balance with personal use and highest use is a must. Overvolting an electric bicycle motor for more speed! Q&A#7 ruclips.net/video/_oOD6fnGWDE/видео.html There’s a Market begging for the right product for those using Sailboats. Docking at Marinas often requires trips to food or hardware stores. But Ebikes will be stored on boats and could be subjected to Saltwater Spray or mist. Wiring anything on a boat has sealing requirements so an Ebike would require something similar.
Have more... The Controllers have a bank of voltage transistors sometimes called MOFsets. They generate heat and are using the Extruded Aluminum Case as a Heat Sink. They need to be attached to the case using a Temperature Transfer Gel for the best Heat Transfer. Problem is the Controller is boxed up in a Shell. It’s best to have the Controller Finned area sticking outside of the Case for an Air Flow to help keep it cooled down. If adding a second battery, the higher voltage will increase Controller operating heat. At this point repackaging the design is in order.
Hello, thanks for watching my video. I am happy to hear that my reviews have been helpful. Stay tuned for another video on this bike in the near future. Thank you again for your support to my channel.
Hi Anna, thanks for watching my video. I really appreciate your time. I am 5'9", 180 pounds and I find it very easy to pedal. Perhaps it is my balancing, but I am unable to stand up while pedaling but I haven't had any issues pedaling while seated on normal roads. Uphill above 5% grade gets a little harder but doable for me. Thanks for your question.
Hi Michael, please check out this playlist I have for this bike. I talk about batteries in at least 3 videos. I show how to replace the battery and also add a second battery to double your range. Thanks for watching my video. ruclips.net/p/PLthI4lX2FgtOXUCXRXsM6Lzlb80moKzUk
I think when people were asking about the brakes, they wanted to know whether or not they were disc brakes or some other type (calipers, drum, etc.), not if they were hand brakes. From the look of things, they seem to be mechanical disc brakes, but it is difficult to determine the size of the discs (160mm? 180mm? smaller?), as well as how many pistons there are applying the pads to the discs.
Hi Tom, thanks for watching my video and for your feedback. They are indeed mechanical disc brakes and from what I can tell those are 6" discs, so roughly 150mm.
@@ShivaSapkota Many thanks for your quick reply. One other question on the brakes - do they have motor inhibitor switches on them? That is, do they cut off power to the motor when they are engaged, so the brakes don't fight against the motor?
@@twloughlin even though not specified in the specs, I can tell it has that switch. When I apply the brakes while the bike is in cruise control, it cuts power to the motor. Thanks a lot for watching my video and supporting my channel.
Any advice for charging brand new out the box? I want the longest battery life possible. Do you recommend charging it before my first ride, or riding it until dies first?
Hi Dan, thanks for watching, I really appreciate your time. Since it is a lithium ion battery, I would recommend keeping the charge between 10-90%. So, depending on the state of charge your bike comes out of the box, you should be able to ride without charging it first. For the best battery life, it is recommended to store it in a room temperature. Also, I would recommend unplugging soon after the charger turns green indicating a full charge. It is not good for your battery to stay plugged in after full charge. Thanks again!
@@ShivaSapkota thanks for making these videos it's great help! My friend and I both have the bolt and the bolt pro, side by side test are awesome! Check out DAD channel he's figured out how to mod the Bluetooth for the app from the old Jetson bolt to the pro. He's revealing it soon. Thanks again for making your videos! Cheers from Canada

Will the throttle work while plugged in to the charger? The benefit to this would be that I can plug this into an external battery and get more running time while plugged in.
Hi Jay, you cannot adjust the gear in the pedaling. This is a single speed gear. The throttle does work while plugging in but it will damage your battery. I would recommend a second battery instead. I have a video in my channel that covers this. Thanks for watching my video. ruclips.net/video/5kr7u0--iGI/видео.html
Hello, thanks for watching my video. Great question. The serial number can be found on the handle bar right in between the warning labels. If that sticker is removed, there are some numbers engraved right next to the front headlight and rear wheel frame that can possibly be referenced to have Jetson locate your serial number for you. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing the video! Just purchased one from Costco. I wonder how do you pump the front tire? Unlike the rear tire, the front tire pumping tube is not 45-degree bending and there's not enough room to attach the pump.
Hi Kelly, thanks for watching my video and for your question. I tried using a digital car air compressor as well as hand pump to fill air and it worked fine. Is yours in a difficult place? The pump heads I am using have sort of a L-shape, probably that helps in this situation? Sorry, I am unable to answer this one without knowing further details about the compressor you are using. Thanks again, I really appreciate your time.
Hi Shiva. I love all of your Jetson Bolt Pro videos and enjoyed this Q&A video. Your RUclips series has convinced to me purchase a set of these from Costco online for Christmas! I'd love it if you could do a video for your recommendations on accessories and add-ons. For instance, what type of lock do you recommend? That's my biggest fear is how to keep it safe. Also, would love your thoughts on handlebar bag, rear rack, etc. Let's pimp out our Jetsons! Also, I'm looking to use this bike for exercise primarily and then use the power assist to get me up those big hills that I struggle with. Is Pedal assist always on if the bike is turned on? I'd like to be people-powered, and then only use the pedal assist when I need to. Thanks!
Hi PJ, thanks so much for watching my videos and supporting my channel. I really appreciate your time. I am happy to hear that my videos have been helpful. This is a really cool and fun bike. I will make a video in the near future and cover some accessories. Thanks for the suggestion. To answer your last question, when the power is turned on, as long as you don't twist the throttle, you can manually pedal and the motor won't push you. You have to twist the throttle for pedal assist to work. I normally just manually pedal and only use the assist for uphill climb. My charge lasts a long time that way😊 Thanks again for your comment!
Hi there I’d like your comment on how is the bike when you run out of power and you’re still out how is it for peddling getting back some people say it’s difficult but what is your opinion and you have a great videos thank you
I have to disagree about the cruise control... Sorry. I have a Jetson and it took me awhile to understand the "cruise control". It's not actually cruise control but an accelerator lock. It holds the accelerator at the place you set it. Different from a car cruise control that will change gas input to slow or speed the car.... The Jetson "cruise control". Simply locks the accelerator at whatever place it's operating when set. It will not adjust for speed or hills! It's a great feature that I use often.... But it's not like cruise control in a car it's simply an accelerator lock
Hi Shiva. Have you tried adding a basket or seat/paneer or something to have added storage? Does that look doable to do - either from the seat post or the handle?
Hi Sakinah, thanks for watching my video. I really appreciate your time. I haven't personally installed those accessories but have seen folks install a rear rack and a hanging bag for storage. I am planning on purchasing some of those accessories and making a video in the near future. So stay tuned for that video with some common accessories and storage. Thanks again for your support to my channel.
I enjoy this bike but I don't get anywhere near the 15 mile range you say you get. I pedal as often as I possibly can and get maybe 10 miles. And once the battery dies it's near impossible to pedal and very energy inefficient- so difficult that I always end up walking it. Do you have that problem?
Hi Mark, it seems like your battery probably is worn out a bit. The range differs by rider's weight, topography, weather etc. I get 10-12 miles in the winter and 13-15 miles in the summer normally with the original battery. I added a second battery to get double that range. Thanks!
Hi Mike, you can do light off-roading but I would go with a bigger bike for that. The tires will be okay for a short period but without any suspensions, and those little tires, you won't have a good riding experience. Thank you!
Hello, thanks for watching my video. I really appreciate your time. My bike does make some mild noise while pedaling but your case seems to be little more extreme. Mine makes the same level of noise as any other bikes plus very mild clucking noise.
@@gamingcreationsfn3917 I wonder if you can adjust the covering? Mine doesn't really make noise so I am curious how close the covering is with the chain on your bike. Thanks for watching and providing your feedback.
Do you have to pedal to get the motor to kick in and go? Or can you just sit and not petal at all and power the motor some how? Like turn the handle or something to make it go?
Hi Lance, you don't have to use the pedals to engage the motor. There is a throttle (like in a motorcycle) on the right hand grip, you can just twist that and the bike will move forward. Thanks for watching my video.
Hello, it will not go over 15 mph regardless of how fast you pedal. The motor cuts offs at that speed. I ended up swapping out the controller with a new one that doesn't have the limiter but that takes a lot of work.
Hi, love your videos, used them to install rack and bottle holder. Now ready for more challenging task. Are you aware of proximity alert sensor, to detect car in the rear ? preferred with Bluetooth that alerts me on the phone.
Hello, these are disk brakes. Please refer to my video linked here on how to replace the pads and also to tighten the brake pads for better grips. The rest of the brake system is like a normal brake where you can adjust the cable. Thanks for watching my video. ruclips.net/video/_a7Hmp9cybM/видео.html
Hi Jan, unfortunately it doesn't do regenerative braking/charging. Charging the battery while riding on these ebikes (especially smaller ones like this one) wouldn't be very practical due to many factors. One of the reason is that feature would require direct motor drive which this bike doesn't have.
Thanks for the vid. I've been reading a lot, looking at vids, trying to decide if I'm going to purchase. I'm going to be using the bike nearly everyday, probably 10-15 miles per day. How many months can I expect to get out of the battery? And when it begins to fail...what does one do, since it isn't removable!?
Thanks for watching my video! I highly recommend this bike for daily commute. I would imagine the battery would last a long time as long as you follow the proper storage/usage recommendations. If your battery dies within a year, you have a 1 year warranty with Jetson. They will swap the battery for you. If it is after the warranty period, you can purchase a replacement battery and replace it. It depends on how comfortable you are with electric work but the battery swap is quite easy, just have to remove some screws, unhook the old battery and put in the new one. I might do a video in the future showing how to do this. Thank you again!
@@D.C.22 that is correct, I wish we could easily swapp those batteries so we could have multiple batteries and never run out of charge but unfortunately that is not supported for this bike. I really appreciate your time and engagement on my video. Hope you have a happy Thanksgiving!
I have a question. Is there any way to put balanced wheels on the back of the bike. I guess like training wheels but heavy duty for an adult. I bought this bike I have not opened the Box yet I haven't rolled on a 2 wheel bike in years in years and I really don't want to hurt myself. So I was wondering what would you suggest.
How does padel assist work on this bike? I thought when I padel it would automatically assist so I have to apply less force for padeling, but it looks like it only assists if I twist the handle. How is it supposed to be? Did I get a lemon?
Hello, yes, as long as the power is turned on, the pedal assist automatically kicks in. If you are having a hard time pedaling when the power is on, you might have a faulty pedal assist connection. Thanks for watching my video.
Don't expect anything close to 15 miles without peddling. You are lucky to get 10 miles from a full charge when peddling and half that when not peddling.
Hello, I have a question! If I wanted to go to a movie would I be able to use a big duffle bag to carry it in with me, and put it in the seat next to me? It says the length is 40 inches and the height is 28 inches when folded. I could probably take off the seat as well to take off some of the height. I'm thinking of getting one of those really big 42 inch camping duffle bags. I know I could just lock it outside, but I'd really like to have the peace of mind knowing it's safe during my movie. Any opinions?
@ Tuxedo Gaming, thanks for watching my video. I appreciate your time. Sorry for the confusion, Jetson has a page where you can register your product which will make it easy to file a warranty claim. This is optional and the bike by default comes with a one year warranty. If you do need to file a warranty, they require: proof of purchase, serial number, picture of damage, how damage occurred, name and shipping address. Thanks again!
1st & most important is these Jetsons e-bikes are not $300 anymore in fact haven’t seen any for lower than $370 , plus tax and that’s pushing it to $400, but I haven’t seen any thing that cost under $400 that gives the same value. That’s probably why Costco doesn’t need to lower it’s price on this Bike. So far I like this bike and the only things that I’ve bought is a larger seat and a Helmet.
@@ShivaSapkota Thank you for the reply! I do have a question I’ve watched all your videos on the bike. Is there a way to get the speed to 18 mph? or was that only on the older model of the bike? If not is there any way you know of to get a little more mph? What camera do you shoot this videos on to? Thank you Shiva you make great videos you got a subscriber in me!!
@@Dckless69420 Thank you very much Eric. I really appreciate the support. I use Sony ZV1, Go Pro Hero 9 Black and my iPhone 12 Pro Max to record my stuff. That 18mph is only possible with a bluetooth module that is impossible to find. I asked Jetson and they wouldn't even send me one. Folks have been able to remove that module from a previous gen Bolt and hack their speeds. I actually purchased a different controller and currently trying to get it to go faster. The new controller also only gives me 15.5 mph. I will keep you updated if I figure something out.
Hi Brice, thanks for watching my video. Unfortunately, you cannot change the pedal assist speed but you can change the throttle speed by simply adjusting the throttle turn.
Can you review the delfast ebike? Range, price, comfort of pedaling. Jetson bolt pro have a rough and awkward pedaling and not easy to handle very wobbly.
I haven't heard of that brand but upon a quick search their bikes look awesome! Quite pricey though. I will see if I can reach out to them for a review. Thanks!
Hello, thanks for watching my video. Unfortunately, you cannot buy a Bluetooth module at this time. I will let you know if it becomes available in the future.
Yeah pedaling can get heavy without the pedal assist from the motor. If I sense that I am going to run out of juice, I stop the throttle and just use pedal assist. Pedal assist uses way less energy than throttle.
@@ShivaSapkota I was charging mine. But it seems that there's something wrong. 6 hours has passed but the charger led did not turn solid green. Is that okay?
@@jaysoncam6778 Try unplugging it, turn the power on, twist the throttle (while putting the bike on the stand) and plug the charger back in. Sometime the "communication" between the battery and the charger needs resetting. Sometime it does take longer depending on the battery temperature. If the battery is too hot or too cold, it chargers really slow. This is the case with all lithium ion batteries.
Hi Richard, it can but the charging port is connected to the battery housing. So, you will need the front housing still connected to be able to charge the battery externally. Here is how: ruclips.net/video/5kr7u0--iGI/видео.html
Hi, I had a knee replacement 3 months ago and just turned 70 years old. Love riding my bikes but foot couldn’t reach the ground to feel safe when seat put to where my new knee could bend yet. So the size of this bike is perfect for me to ride and get the exercise I need and feel comfortable. Took it to my physical therapist and approved of bike size for me. I haven’t tried it with power on yet. Kinda afraid of speed it might go and throttle seems too easy to accidentally turn it. Is there a button we could install to use instead of throttle. My sons worried I might hurt myself if I turn throttle accidentally in an emergency.
Hello, thanks for watching my video and for your question. I hope your surgery went well and are recovering and getting some rest. It is technically possible to convert the twist throttle into a push button throttle/thumb slide throttle but it will require modification (disconnecting the original throttle wire, connecting the new wires, soldering those wires etc). Let me do some research on this for you. I will take apart my bike and check the type of throttle connection it has and see if I can just direct you to a button controlled product.
Hello, I just posted a video on how to add a thumb throttle. This will disable the twist throttle. Please check that out and let me know if you have any question.
Hi Frank, thank you for watching my video. If you are in cruise control, the motor shuts off as soon as you brake. So, I think it has that cable. I haven't tried braking while in manual throttle.
Hi Shiva, i watched your informative video and bought the Jetson Pro from Costco a couple of months back but barely used it due to winter (i am in Canada). I have now used it a few times over the past 2 weeks and like everything about it except i noticed that : The vertical front arm that folds down when not using is not firm and there is movement of maybe half-inch even after i use the lock mechanism to keep it up and in place? Should it not be firm with no movement at all? Also, yesterday, the front frame actually came loose from its locking mechanism while i was riding and started to drop while i was riding! How can i fix this or is this a defect? I am thinking of returning the bike. Would appreciate an early response/advise. Thanks!
Hello, that seems defective so if you are able to return and get a new one that would be my recommendation. If it is hard to get a new one, you can try removing the little washer that is in the button of the stem arm. Once the stem arm is loose, you can then rotate it to tighten. That has worked for some people but again might be easier to just return. Thank you.

The motor sits in the back, so it could be different for this bike. Keep in mind that with 14" wheels in this bike, the trailer connection might be too low. How big are the wheels in your trailer?
Hello, the serial number is located on the stem of the bike. There is a warning level and the serial number is printed right under the warning level. Thanks for watching my video.
@@butyogvlogricheecalica25 Apparently, it is not that number engraved above the front headlight. It is the one that starts with "Bolt Pro" right where you have the warning sticker. I think you can register without a receipt. Thanks for watching my videos.
Hello, thanks for watching my video. I appreciate your time. The range without pedal assist is about 15 miles and 30 miles with pedal assist. I am 5'9" and weigh 180 pounds.
@@raybon7939 that sounds about right. Just be aware that the weather and wind conditions also affect your battery range. In the winter your range goes down by around 20% or so. Thanks again for watching my video!
Hello, thanks for watching my video and for your question. The battery does have a "memory" like other lithium ion batteries. For conserving your battery long term, I would recommend letting your battery fall to the last bar (about 25%) and charge it up. Charging after each ride will degrade the battery faster. The original battery should last you 300-500 cycles.
@@ShivaSapkota Lithium Ion batteries do not have a memory. For best battery life charge it when it gets to 2 lights, and unplug it at 3 lights. If you never let it get full or empty it will last the longest. (But you won't have the full range at 3 lights.)
@@Ariel1S Thanks for your feedback. What I meant by "memory" effect is more towards the charge cycles (life expectancy). Probably a personal preference, but I like to charge my batteries least amount of time possible. I agree with only charging to 3 lights, but as you said the range will be low. I do this with my Tesla. I limit my charge to 80-90%. Thank you very much again for watching and providing your insight.
Thanks for watching my video! To turn on the cruise control, you have to first turn the power on (botton on the left hand side) and once you reach a desired speed, press on the cruise control button (right hand side, next to throttle) once and let go of the throttle. It will maintain that speed untill your press on that button again or apply the brakes. Thanks again!

Hi Linda, enjoy your bikes! I heard the refurbished deal is quite good. Please reach out if you have any issues or have questions. Thank you!
Sounds like you got plenty of use out of it. What the hell are you complaining about??
They have raised the price of this bike hundreds of dollars, likely from these fantastic videos promoting its purchase.
Yup, with taxes and shipping I ended up paying 600
You can take the blur tooth module from the other bolt and put it in the bolt pro then use the blue tooth app to raise the speed . When done if you want you can remove the blue tooth module.
You failed to mention that these have disc brakes. That's upper level stuff beats pinchers all day long.
Good review. I had mine for about a year now and I'm a heavy guy.

Voila!

How often do you charge? For example if you go for a quick 5 min ride, do you still charge it afterwards?
Hi Jin, thanks for watching my video. I usually only charge when my battery is at 25% (last bar) or if I need to go for a long ride then I charge full before heading out.

do you need to fully charge the battery when storing indoors in the winter?
To answer your questions:
A) Since the front handlebar folds, adding a rear rack and a cargo bag is better for this bike. I did a video about this recently, please check that video out in my channel 😊
B) I also did a video to show step by step on how to replace battery on this bike. I am currently looking into a possibile 2 battery system for this bike and I will let you know if that would be possible. I will do a video on this topic in the near futur, so please stay tuned for that video.

There’s a Market begging for the right product for those using Sailboats.

Hi Stephen, thanks for watching my video. I am glad it was helpful.
Great Overview. You answered all questions thouroughly! I like this bike. Might just get one!
Thanks Anna! I really appreciate your continuous support to my channel. This bike has been great, I would highly recommend it!

Will the throttle work while plugged in to the charger? The benefit to this would be that I can plug this into an external battery and get more running time while plugged in.
This would allow me to charge it as I’m riding.
Another question, am I able to adjust the gear in the peddling? This way I can adjust the resistance.
You can unlock the speed using a $20 board to reprogram it. And there is a after market app you can connect to.
I want to register my bike, but can't find the serial number on it. Where exactly is it?
Is there a wider seat available as a modification?
Very informative. Thank You! I use your videos to help me make my decision to buy this bike!
Thanks for your videos.
I have a click in back wheel, have you had this issue? Seems to go away when you pedal
Hi Robert, there is some noise but it is more of a "hmm" not a click. Please contact Jetson as that could be a serious issue in your motor.

Good review Shiva. I may get the One although we have the Jupiter already. Have you tried putting a basket? On it?
Thank you very much. I have a rear rack and I have seen people put a front basket on this bike for smaller pets/groceries.
I wonder if this would be able to tow the small trailer with my toddler in it.

Thank you!
is the biking making huge chain noise while pedaling? I found my bike making that big clucking noise when pedaling, which is super annoying.
Hello, thanks for watching my video. I really appreciate your time. My bike does make some mild noise while pedaling but your case seems to be little more extreme. Mine makes the same level of noise as any other bikes plus very mild clucking noise.

Hi Jan, unfortunately it doesn't do regenerative braking/charging.
@@ShivaSapkota oh ok...kool! I was under the impression it wasn't removable. It's just that it isn't easily "swappable"...like some bike batteries..
@@D.C.22 that is correct, I wish we could easily swapp those batteries so we could have multiple batteries and never run out of charge but unfortunately that is not supported for this bike. I really appreciate your time and engagement on my video. Hope you have a happy Thanksgiving!

I would recommend a longer seat post for anyone 5'10" and taller.
Just stop saying that you can buy this bike for $300, because it’s not fair to get peoples hopes up!
awesome video man! Buying 2 this weekend!
Hi Eric, thanks for watching my video. This bike has been awesome. Please reach out with any questions.
@@ShivaSapkota Awesome man! Much appreciated looking forward to your upcoming videos. Thank you!
How do you change pedal assist speed?
Hi Brice, thanks for watching my video. Unfortunately, you cannot change the pedal assist speed but you can change the throttle speed by simply adjusting the throttle turn.
Can you review the delfast ebike? Range, price, comfort of pedaling. Jetson bolt pro have a rough and awkward pedaling and not easy to handle very wobbly.
I haven't heard of that brand but upon a quick search their bikes look awesome! Quite pricey though. I will see if I can reach out to them for a review. Thanks!
I have a jetson pro bolt electric folding scooter yes I love it.
This bike is so worth the money
I have jetson bolt pro ,can you tell me where to buy the bluetooth to add it up my both pro please
Hello, thanks for watching my video. Unfortunately, you cannot buy a Bluetooth module at this time. I will let you know if it becomes available in the future.
I ran out of juice earlier. But thanks to it's pedals I was able to get home. Thing is, it's real heavy pedaling and the ride was very slow. 😂
@@ShivaSapkota I'll give it a try. Thank you so much for the tips.
can the battery come off the bike to charge it?
@@ShivaSapkota you are awesome for this
Does is have motor cut off cables when you use the brakes?
Hi Frank, thank you for watching my video. If you are in cruise control, the motor shuts off as soon as you brake. So, I think it has that cable. I haven't tried braking while in manual throttle.
Awesome and helpful review!
Hello, I am happy to hear that you found my video helpful. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel.
Thank you.
@@ShivaSapkota thanks for your prompt response, Shiva! I can return to Costco but they dont have any in stock so might try to see if yr fix works before i so as u suggested. Cheers!
@@ShivaSapkota still wondering why this happened given limited use and if it is a defect and will keep recurring even if i am able to fix?
@@deeshukla5474 Let me look into this problem. I got the same question from about 10 people this week, so looks like a common issue folks are having. Let me investigate further and hope I can make a video soon showing a fix. Thanks!
@@ShivaSapkota As u suggested, when i fold the front arm, i dont see any washer to remove, just a hexnut which is very tight and is part of the wheel not the folding top arm! Also the lock mechanism does not click tightly into place like i remember it used to and rattles when riding either because it is loose or because of theslight movement of the top arm i described earlier. Would appreciate if you can post a couple of photos so i can figure out if i am missing a washer or some other small part. Still would like to keep the bike instead of returning coz they are out od stock and hard to find! Thanks!
Can you recommend this bike for someone who want to work as a deliveroo?
Hello, yes this bike would be great for deliveroo. Perhaps get some accessories like a rear rack and bags (I have videos in my channel on accessories). Keep in mind the range is between 12-15 miles per charge so if your routes are going to be long, I would recommend an extra battery. Thanks for watching my video.
@@ShivaSapkota Thank you! I’ll check out all your videos. And I’ll get extra batteries. Can I work for 6-8 hours once I charged it? Or does it run out sooner than 8 hours?
@@AmirMUFTV Thank you very much for your support.
2 with if you pedal fast and have the electric thing on wouldn't it go over 15.5 MPH and second how do you lock it or secure it say I'm going into a small store ect...
The motor cuts off at 15.5 mph regardless of if you are pedaling or using the throttle. You can use a traditional U or wire locks for this bike. Thanks for watching my videos.
Hey can you control the speed less the 15mph?
Hi Lydia, if you are referring to manually limiting the speed, unfortunately you cannot. What you can do is twist the throttle less and it will go slower. More you twist, faster it will go. Thanks for watching my video.
@@ShivaSapkota k. Thank you cause my mother want to get me one an her fear is going to high an I'm going to hurt myself an what you said makes sense.
@@lydiadelgado3501 Keep in mind that 15mph is max and under ideal situation. I normally get about 12mph with full throttle. Please reach out with any questions at anytime while you and your mom are deciding on this bike. Thanks for watching my video.
is this bike water resistant/ waterproof
Hello, this bike can take light drizzle but nothing like a full rain. The controller housing is not waterproof and can be damaged easily. Thanks for watching my video.
@@ShivaSapkota thank you for answering my question! But let’s say I’m riding outside and it starts raining lightly so I can still ride and get through correct?
@@RayhanSye That is correct, as long as the rain is light. I have done this without any issues. The main concern is water getting to your controller and battery. If you live in an area where you get frequent rain, I would recommend you cover the cable holes with tape etc so you can further protect the bike. Cheers!
How to put a safety switch?
What is the proper air pressure for 14" tires?
Hello, thanks for watching my video. The recommended tire pressure is between 35-42 PSI. I normally leave mine at 40 but if you want less stiff ride, you can certainly lower the pressures to 35.
Thank you very much!
As of 10-01-01 Costco Hawthorne CAl. has approx 200 units I don't know if they are holding some for other stores they are selling fast maybe because of $4.50 gas!
How’s your bike working at this point since u uploaded this video 5 months ago?
The bike is great. I really like it. I have done many videos with different modifications in my channel. Please check those out as well if you are interested.
Is there a way to attach a rack onto the back??
Hi Susan, thanks for watching my video. I appreciate your time. Yes, you can attach a rack on the back. Amazon has plenty of choices.
I bought this bike from Costco maybe close to 1 week now and i fully charged it then last time i took it out it seems like the battery went down faster then the 1st day maybe could it be cuz i used the peddles ?
What is the weight capacity of the bike?
Hello, thanks for watching my video and for your question. The weight limit is 265 pounds.

You think it will go cheaper on Black Friday
Hi Hassaan, thanks for watching my video. That is a great question. I haven't seen it on Coscto's ads yet, but that is a possibility for sure! I hope it does go cheaper so more folks can get it, its an awesome bike!
The only thing I would add is a longer shape and bigger tires because it’s a bitch to pedal when it’s dead
Hi Isaac, thanks for your feedback. I really appreciate it. Yes, it is very hard to pedal without the assist, especially on an uphill climb.
im totally getting this bike.
My Cosco is stocked full of em
edit: I have a Child Carrier for my mountain bike.
Do the child carriers have a hole for the metal rod that secures bike to trailer?
Thanks for watching my video. I highly recommend this bike. I actually haven't removed the outside bolt cap to check if the rod has holes. The motor sits in the back, so it could be different for this bike. Keep in mind that with 14" wheels in this bike, the trailer connection might be too low. How big are the wheels in your trailer?
One more question where can I find the serial number of the bike
Hello, the serial number is located on the stem of the bike. There is a warning level and the serial number is printed right under the warning level. Thanks for watching my video.
@@ShivaSapkota Is not the number engraved on Top of the headligth? Could I register it online even though I dont have the original reciept?

Does the battery have memory? And should I always let the battery get down to 25% before I charge or can I just always charge it after a ride? Thanks
@@ShivaSapkota much thanks 👍😃. Your video enabled me to put the bike together. I skipped the minimal printed instructions as yours were better.
@@HOlsen-xe1xy thank you very much for supporting my channel.
Thank you very much again for watching and providing your insight.
how do you turn on the cruise control?
Thanks for watching my video! To turn on the cruise control, you have to first turn the power on (botton on the left hand side) and once you reach a desired speed, press on the cruise control button (right hand side, next to throttle) once and let go of the throttle. It will maintain that speed untill your press on that button again or apply the brakes. Thanks again!
