I have a Dahon folding bike about the same size. I just put a plastic grocery bag over the handlebars and put stuff in there. It's free and it works just fine. And no, it does not interfere with the brakes or anything else on the handlebars.
I bought that same rear rack when I saw this video 2 years ago. It finally broke on me today, albeit I had a slightly bigger battery than this video shows. Lesson learned.

@@ShivaSapkota Some have written that the brake handles touch the handlebar...Mine did too but after adjusting the cables, the brake handle grabbed a lot quicker, so the brakes were fine; the cables just needed adjusted but I’m sure you know this. One fellow had the same success on here...enjoy your informative videos...

Thank you for your VERY helpful and easy to understand videos! Question: what about attaching a basket rather than satchel for groceries, etc. From a balance perspective, would it be better to hang on handlebars or to seat stem?
Thank you very much for your kind words. There are front and rear baskets you can install on this bike. I don't think it matters a lot as far as the balancing goes but I have seen people put front baskets for groceries and even small pets.

Your videos on the Jetson Bolt Pro encouraged me to buy one for my wife, she loves it so I bought one for myself, I love it too but mine is different then hers. Her bike accelerates from a stop on throttle quietly while mine makes a noise from the drive hub, not a grinding but a laboring noise, it goes away eventually but happens every time I use the throttle. Should I be concerned? It operates fine but I wonder if something is not aligned correctly or not lubed, any suggestions and also how about a routine maintenance video. Thank you for all your excellent videos.
This is a great bike. However, it is difficult to ride because it is very jittery. May be a little too responsive, and hard to take your hands off the handlebars. Will replacing the handlebars help with those? Or is it a function of the wheel size being too small?

I've been watching your entire series on this bike - thank you so much for creating them! They're so helpful. I am thinking of getting these for my aging parents so they can get outside in the fresh air and have some exercise but not get too fatigued, and still be able to handle hills. These baskets will be perfect so they can go a few blocks away to do some shopping without having to drive their cars, and the bottle holder is brilliant also. How long have you been using the bike now, and do you feel it is still holding up well?

I would recommend a thumb throttle upgrade (my most recent video on this bike) for your parents, if you can. The main throttle could cause accidental acceleration. Overall, this bike has held up well for the last 9 months for me. It is affordable, powerful and easy to maintain.

Hi Christina, thank you very much for watching my videos. Normally I would recommend kids/pet trailer for bikes. However, given this bike has small 14" wheels, I would be a little worried about safety and ground clearance for trailers. I have been looking into a trailer in Amazon and will make a video if I decide to try it out.
Thanks. It’s hard to find racks that fit this bike. I had a rack I had to take apart but had to make diy spacers but it still jiggled. As for bags, I had baskets but they kept flipping upside down cause when I screwed it, the washer came off. I gave in and decided to purchase your recommendations, however I made a locked battery case. The brick batteries are 16 ah I bought 2 so basically round 20 miles each. In essence all together including the battery that came with it will be 50 miles if I want.
OK an update on the wrack which is identical to the one you have. I put 2.5 kg on the wrack which is the weight of the battery pack. Within about 3 weeks the wrack part actually snapped on one side if the tubing I repaired it, it snapped again a little further along, I gave up repairing it bodged it with some tape it lasted about another two weeks and the other side did exactly the same. The actual wrack is very poorly made the tubing is too flimsy, the actual bar that holds the wrack is good so far solid, so to solve the problem I used an old granny trolly and cut it up to make a wrack, so far it's stronger than the original being steal rather than aluminium but time will tell. Just a warning for anyone with this wrack, the bar seems good the actual wrack is week.
@@ShivaSapkota Judging by the way it kept breaking I would say it was a design fault, it supposed to hold up to 10 kg but it wouldn't do it for long. I believe its the bumps in the road which exerts a whip type effect on the actual wrack. It either needs thicker aluminium tubing or as I have found so far a light weight steel tubing works much better and does not add much extra weight. The stresses are too much for the aluminium tubing to handle.

@@a-trainsandroid6731 I agree, I think the 7 year old would be fine on that seat. The 3 year old will need a booster type seat that mounts to the rear rack. Those have belts and everything for safety. The only issue is the weight, the rear rack I have installed (most common one) only allows up to 22 lbs. Finding a rack with higher weight capacity might be a challenge.

@@rociomsamayoamazariegos1604 That seems very unsual for a new bike. Did you ride during rain? Disk brakes are noisy when wet. Try cleaning the brake surface using a cloth and if the problem persists, I would return and get a new bike. 1 day old bike shouldn't be noisy :)

Hi Michael, thanks for watching my videos and supporting my channel. Yes this bike has an inner tube. I think you can just use regular 14" tubes and tires, I haven't had to replace one yet and haven't had to deal with a flat tire. The stock tires are CST (14x2.125).

Awesome! This bike is fun. Yes you can do that, but it will require opening the housing which will void your warranty. I can show you which cable is the front headlight output on the controller. Thank you.

We just bought two of these bikes yesterday and LOVE them so far, we took a 5 mile ride around town and one thing I felt is needed are side mirrors. Can you suggest Morris for this bike that can mount to the handle bars? I was also thinking maybe a mirror for our helmets, but that seems like they would be too small and more difficult to see in. Did you add a bike speedometer/odometer to the bike? Didn't see it listed in the accessories list. I put a wireless one onto my Metakoo so I can see the speed and miles traveled. Fairly easy to do

Hello, thanks for your feedback. I really appreciate your support to my channel. I personally like inserting the lock cable through the opening in the middle where you carry the bike. That opening is just about an inch so most traditional d-locks might not work. The master lock link I have in my description should work for this bike.

Hi Landon, thanks for watching my video. Even though I haven't tested with a soft drink, I think it will work just fine. Perhaps a small or a midium but a large drink might not fit. The manufacturer recommends max weight to be 27 ounces, so little less than a typical large drink (30 ounces). It can accommodate upto 3.3 inches base diameter. I have been using a 32 oz full water bottle and has worked great so far but the water bottle is tall and not very wide.
There is a pretty cheap amazon cup holder that works fine with soft drinks. I do not recommend it though since the bike has no suspension, it will decarbonate your drink in a few bumps

I wonder if they would allow this bike to be taken into big box type grocery store we have nearby. Put an accessory basket on the front area over the front wheel, go shopping for a few items and roll right up to the cashier. Better than having to lock the bike up outside the store and risk theft. It's smaller than a shopping cart, so shouldn't take up much room in the store aisles.

@@ShivaSapkota Thanks for your reply. The stores you speak of, are they the big box type with wide aisles? I see the big grocery store here even allows large dogs in. I even saw a dog take a huge dump on the floor at the entry way. Customers seemed appalled and had to walk around it until some poor person had to clean up the mess. I guess I better ask the manager before purchasing this bike and show him a pic of the bike's compact size. This really would be my main use, buying a few items every few days at the store 5 blocks away. Unfortunately, it's somewhat of a high crime area and theft is a concern. Also the convenience of not having to lock/unlock it and transferring groceries from cart to bike each time.
@@AGhostInTheMachine My nearby store is a neighborhood walmart that only sells groceries. They have extra large carts. As you said, I would highly recommend checking with the store prior to purchasing this bike.

I'm hoping to save money to get this bike for my transportation needs and what I'd like to do is purchase a rain canopy for the bike and am also hoping to have the same cargo carrier, perhaps add a front and rear basket, and am also thinking to eventually purchase a solar power station that I can plug the bike into for continuous rides. What do you think of these ideas, and have you tried them?

You can bend the lock cable into a U shape and pass it throught the middle bar, then pass the lock head through the U shape cable and lock it.

I've been watching your entire series on this bike - thank you so much for creating them! They're so helpful. I am thinking of getting these for my aging parents so they can get outside in the fresh air and have some exercise but not get too fatigued, and still be able to handle hills. These baskets will be perfect so they can go a few blocks away to do some shopping without having to drive their cars, and the bottle holder is brilliant also. How long have you been using the bike now, and do you feel it is still holding up well?
Hello, thanks for watching all my videos and supporting my channel. I think this is a great bike and helps many people get around. I would recommend a thumb throttle upgrade (my most recent video on this bike) for your parents, if you can. The main throttle could cause accidental acceleration. Overall, this bike has held up well for the last 9 months for me. It is affordable, powerful and easy to maintain.

I have a noseless seat on my 26 inch bike. I tend to slip forward on it. I find myself adjusting my position on the seat often.

Hi Christina, thank you very much for watching my videos. Normally I would recommend kids/pet trailer for bikes. However, given this bike has small 14" wheels, I would be a little worried about safety and ground clearance for trailers. I have been looking into a trailer in Amazon and will make a video if I decide to try it out.
For your lock you can also put the skinny side in and loop it like a laso or fish line. Thought maybe it would work idk
Thanks. It’s hard to find racks that fit this bike. I had a rack I had to take apart but had to make diy spacers but it still jiggled. As for bags, I had baskets but they kept flipping upside down cause when I screwed it, the washer came off. I gave in and decided to purchase your recommendations, however I made a locked battery case. The brick batteries are 16 ah I bought 2 so basically round 20 miles each. In essence all together including the battery that came with it will be 50 miles if I want.

OK an update on the wrack which is identical to the one you have.
I put 2.5 kg on the wrack which is the weight of the battery pack.
Within about 3 weeks the wrack part actually snapped on one side if the tubing I repaired it, it snapped again a little further along, I gave up repairing it bodged it with some tape it lasted about another two weeks and the other side did exactly the same.
The actual wrack is very poorly made the tubing is too flimsy, the actual bar that holds the wrack is good so far solid, so to solve the problem I used an old granny trolly and cut it up to make a wrack, so far it's stronger than the original being steal rather than aluminium but time will tell.
Just a warning for anyone with this wrack, the bar seems good the actual wrack is week.

@@ShivaSapkota Judging by the way it kept breaking I would say it was a design fault, it supposed to hold up to 10 kg but it wouldn't do it for long.
I believe its the bumps in the road which exerts a whip type effect on the actual wrack.
It either needs thicker aluminium tubing or as I have found so far a light weight steel tubing works much better and does not add much extra weight.
The stresses are too much for the aluminium tubing to handle.

@@a-trainsandroid6731 I agree, I think the 7 year old would be fine on that seat. The 3 year old will need a booster type seat that mounts to the rear rack. Those have belts and everything for safety. The only issue is the weight, the rear rack I have installed (most common one) only allows up to 22 lbs. Finding a rack with higher weight capacity might be a challenge.

My bike is 1 week old ☹️, i rode it for the first time 2 days ago and noticed the sounds coming from front and back tire. Also when i brake specially front brake make weird noise. I don't know anything about bikes. I appreciate any and all help. Thank you very much
@@rociomsamayoamazariegos1604 That seems very unsual for a new bike. Did you ride during rain? Disk brakes are noisy when wet. Try cleaning the brake surface using a cloth and if the problem persists, I would return and get a new bike. 1 day old bike shouldn't be noisy :)

Hello I really like your video's on the bike very helpful because I am looking to buy an E bike to commute. My question is does this bike like other bikes use inner tubes? And are there replacement tires you can buy for it. Also have you ever had a flat tire on the bike?
Hi Michael, thanks for watching my videos and supporting my channel. Yes this bike has an inner tube. I think you can just use regular 14" tubes and tires, I haven't had to replace one yet and haven't had to deal with a flat tire. The stock tires are CST (14x2.125).

Awesome! This bike is fun. Yes you can do that, but it will require opening the housing which will void your warranty. I can show you which cable is the front headlight output on the controller. Thank you.

We just bought two of these bikes yesterday and LOVE them so far, we took a 5 mile ride around town and one thing I felt is needed are side mirrors. Can you suggest Morris for this bike that can mount to the handle bars? I was also thinking maybe a mirror for our helmets, but that seems like they would be too small and more difficult to see in. Hello, thanks for your feedback. I really appreciate your support to my channel. I personally like inserting the lock cable through the opening in the middle where you carry the bike. That opening is just about an inch so most traditional d-locks might not work. The master lock link I have in my description should work for this bike.
I read somewhere that a lady mounted a basket on hers. Not sure how she did it. But sounds like it may be able to hold more.

Question: Can the water bottle holder hold soft drinks. (fast food cups)
Hi Landon, thanks for watching my video. Even though I haven't tested with a soft drink, I think it will work just fine. Perhaps a small or a midium but a large drink might not fit. The manufacturer recommends max weight to be 27 ounces, so little less than a typical large drink (30 ounces). It can accommodate upto 3.3 inches base diameter. I have been using a 32 oz full water bottle and has worked great so far but the water bottle is tall and not very wide.
There is a pretty cheap amazon cup holder that works fine with soft drinks. I do not recommend it though since the bike has no suspension, it will decarbonate your drink in a few bumps

I wonder if they would allow this bike to be taken into big box type grocery store we have nearby. Put an accessory basket on the front area over the front wheel, go shopping for a few items and roll right up to the cashier. Better than having to lock the bike up outside the store and risk theft. It's smaller than a shopping cart, so shouldn't take up much room in the store aisles.

@@ShivaSapkota Thanks for your reply. The stores you speak of, are they the big box type with wide aisles? I see the big grocery store here even allows large dogs in. I even saw a dog take a huge dump on the floor at the entry way. Customers seemed appalled and had to walk around it until some poor person had to clean up the mess.
I guess I better ask the manager before purchasing this bike and show him a pic of the bike's compact size. This really would be my main use, buying a few items every few days at the store 5 blocks away. Unfortunately, it's somewhat of a high crime area and theft is a concern. Also the convenience of not having to lock/unlock it and transferring groceries from cart to bike each time.
@@AGhostInTheMachine My nearby store is a neighborhood walmart that only sells groceries. They have extra large carts. As you said, I would highly recommend checking with the store prior to purchasing this bike.

I'm hoping to save money to get this bike for my transportation needs and what I'd like to do is purchase a rain canopy for the bike and am also hoping to have the same cargo carrier, perhaps add a front and rear basket, and am also thinking to eventually purchase a solar power station that I can plug the bike into for continuous rides. What do you think of these ideas, and have you tried them?
